Mines 17/11 I phoned today and got told they've requested her national insurance number so they need to wait to receive that

They’ve only now requested a national insurance number? The reference numbers for the claim is each individual child’s national insurance number I thought

Hi did you start a new thread for MR? As currently on week 6 waiting for one x

penelopesmam · 13/03/2024 16:13

I’ve got a scan date of 20/11. I called in Monday and was told my daughter’s case was with the DM and to call next Friday if I’d not heard anything. They said that they hadn’t yet received the further supporting documentation that I sent 2 weeks ago, does anyone know if the DWP can access doctors records to see more updates? My daughter has low muscle tone and has now started physio & has corrective insoles

Honestly this is the worse thing Iv had to do! My youngest is in receipt of DLA and when he was awarded the wait was 8 weeks but I’m sure his took 6! And he was awarded to 2032 - then it will be PIP. That was 3 years ago now but my lord how the system has gone to pot since then it’s madness!!

But this claim is with DM, went over on Sunday to a DM they’ve been saying. I genuinely do think i will be around the 20 week mark. The wait times on the phone don’t help, and then the horrible call handlers make you feel even worse for ringing!
I do remember with my youngest his claim went to DM in the morning and I called back end of that day after ringing in the AM and he was awarded!

Well that's what I thought aswell

@kristie198 Have no idea where they get the national insurance number from but it does sound promising though! I spoke to a lovely guy who said mine was allocated to a dm Friday even tho when I called Thurs they said it was a dm but he said it shouldn’t be much longer for a decision x

I'm hoping that means it's with a DM but I've never been told it's with one. Fingers crossed you won't be waiting too much longer x

They seem to be dragging their feet, they’ve had weeks to rectify this for you, I hope whatever they’re doing is quick and you hear something soon

It seems they’re making excuses, phone them and tell them you have her national insurance number if they need it, help speed it up a bit for them 😂

Lolly966 · 13/03/2024 16:33

@kristie198 they don’t seem to say much on the phone tbf. Didn’t even say I could a decision by text either and thank you! I hope you do aswell! Got my fingers crossed for you x

@xxAmy me and you are still waiting! I’m the exact same hun!! Sick of waiting just wanna know if it’s a yes or no! Did you call up today? I did he said it went to a dm Friday and it shouldn’t be much longer and that was it but it’s driving me crazy with the waiting! X

Heyyy ahh we can wait in peril together 🤡🥰😆 bless her heart! They never award high mobility straight away unless in very rare circumstances! It’s. Fight which everything seems to be with a Sen child it’s so sad isn’t at times ❤️ I’ve just replied to someone on the previous thread about what they look for for high mobility as my friend is a DM for DLA.

? They told me 2 weeks too it’s with one and a decision! They honestly just make it up as they go along 😆xx

Haha ill keep you updated on anything I hear.
I just find it all so bizarre how they award people. There doesn't seem to a set criteria they follow. My friends boy has a heart problem since birth and is awaiting a Fontan, and cannot walk very far because of his oxygen levels veing low, so needs a buggy to get about. He's 4. They didn't award her anything until she appealed it!! Shocking really isn't it?
I wouldn't expect to get HRM as she can walk, she just refuses to if she is in a certain mood, and cannot be trusted to walk on her own, has no sense of danger at all.
I'll take a look, thanks 🥰 x
