I spoke to a Pam yesterday. Asking that if I’m meant to have a decision in 4 weeks and they still haven’t found his birth cert will the whole thing be delayed and all she kept saying was ‘we won’t talk about that right now’ so I’m still none the wiser

Neither am I, she’s clearly working from home. Calls probably not recorded & she doesn’t give 2 hoots!
I know I’m a while off yet as I’m only 15 weeks on Monday so I’m confused as to why they’re ringing.
so you’ve sent the birth certificate off and they’ve not scanned it to the system?
its a shambles! It wasn’t like this a few years back xx

Yeah so I’ve got a while to wait yet not due a decision until 4 weeks today. But sent birth cert off and not scanned yet so I’m just asking them that if they don’t find it or not scanned within the 4 weeks would everything be delayed and she couldn’t tell me she just said we won’t talk about that cos it can take a while to scan. And I said I understand that but I’m asking that if that doesn’t happen given it’s over a month and it’s not scanned yet then how would I know, will someone contact me and I just couldn’t get an answer. I gave up in the end will ring again next week x

1slamkh · 01/03/2024 12:12

Just got off the phone to a girl who had no idea what she was talking about. At this point, I think they don’t even know head to toe, and all say different things.

Currenty doing 2x MR recieved letter yesterday saying will take up to 11 weeks currently on week 2 so a wait ahead yet
Not feeling positive if is a negative outcome will be using welfare rights to do tribunal #fingerscrossed

Just sent our MR a beginning of the week good luck I was just wondering if you got a letter to say they’ve received the MR and you’ve answered my question I saw someone say they got knocked back on MR so we’re going to tribunal and they upped the award more or less straight after they appealed the MR knock back x

Sarahdestiny · 01/03/2024 12:22

@Jonesy0102 ah thanks for that info I will defo take them all the way as it seems most get overturned but not till tribunal anyway x

Could someone please advise. I’m ages away for my claim, scan date 9/2.
Finally had meeting with school senco today and she’s said my son definitely meets criteria for asd referral ( he actually should have been referred a year ago, he was accidentally missed 🙄 ) she also mentioned sensory processing disorder, he has Selctive Mutism and Anxiety diagnosed.
So the senco will now do a referral, do I get any sort of letter once that referral is sent ( I know the wait is extremely long ) but do I get a letter to say he’s on the list? And if so is that something extra that could be sent to dla? I know diagnosis doesn’t mean anything but I’m just thinking of any extra evidence to send. If not could I just get the Senco to do a little note explaining he’s been referred. If so what do I write on the paper? Do I just title it extra evidence? his name, dob and the reference off our dla letter? Then when they receive it they should just be able to add it to my form?
sorry if none of that makes sense at all 😂

I’m in London and I did get a letter from Social Communication Team to say my son has been referred by so and so and they have added him to the waiting list and the wait is around 12 months. I did also send this off with my application.

once you get a letter, write full name, DOB, reference number / national insurance number on top of all pages and send to them.

Perfect thank you will do , I’d assume by these threads I’m in no hurry, 😂 only 3 weeks in at the moment but glad that gives me the time to get any extra evidence in

Woo hoo! So happy for you! Did they tell you what she's been awarded? You will need to refresh my memory on your claim details and evidence you sent 😂😂

I'm hoping this means me and @STEPH691 will be next week xx

mummyof3girlsx · 01/03/2024 13:36

@bonz2023 she has got MRC & LRM.. I honestly am shocked at that tbh with what I sent in! We are awaiting an adhd assessment.. I literally filled out the form, sent in a letter from teacher and her sen support plan. I really didn’t even write much so I was honestly expecting a decline x

sh5278 · 01/03/2024 13:36

Scan date 8/2 so a while away yet. After a little bit of advice. My son is 3 and is involved with a lot of people in regards to his undiagnosed autism. He is generally non verbal and gets easily distressed/meltdowns/harms himself and others. Awaiting an assessment for ASD. I have just received some extra evidence from the paediatrics. My son attended with dad (50/50 contact) due to my working pattern. In the first page of the letter it states that how my son was very distressed about clinical observations and they were unable to do them, and how speech and language were unable to do observations in clinic due to his distress/meltdown so they are now doing it at home/nursery. However on the second page dad has stated that he settles to sleep well according to dad. However in the dla application I have stated that it can take a while and a possible meltdown in some occasions when going to sleep (which is true on my side). My question is do I attach the whole letter, or the first page that states meltdowns etc. Some weeks are obviously worse than others but this is quite contradictory if they decide to take that as fact. Shall I just send the whole letter?
In addition, how do I send this extra evidence?
Thank you🙂

STEPH691 · 01/03/2024 13:37

That gives me hope as I'm similar but I'm expecting a fight because most things are for me 😂

Glad you got what she deserves xx

Even if you don’t have some kind of confirmation letter stating he’s being referred you can phone them and let them know verbally about the referral and they can confirm it with the school if you have put the schools contact details

mummyof3girlsx · 01/03/2024 13:46

@STEPH691 ok great do I just add that onto my journal? Or change of circumstances?x I’ll dm you
