@Hayz0711 Hey congratulations on your reward. If you don’t mind me asking did you apply for HRM under SMI rules or something else? Currently waiting decision for COC for HRC & HRM.

@Mamadesgarcons not sure tbh as my son meets criteria for SMI & VUW. He’s always got LRM from age 6, he’s now 13. He has Down Syndrome, awaiting ASD assessment, hypermobility & serious heart conditions

Are people getting the awards letters before payments?
mine has been with decision maker for almost 2 wk! We are at week 21 now
have phoned twice

@Philippa83 hi some people receive money first and some receive their letters and most people find out when ringing up x

Bit random but my scan date is 26th Oct. Ive just had two missed calls from Mobility Scheme, coincidence? Did anyone else have these guys call? I know they are not part of Child DLA but when I googled their number it seems very random. Just wondered really. Thanks in advance

just got through my evidence was sent Friday received yesterday and it’s already on the system they said it’s taking 16 weeks for it to go to DM/CM I’m at 13 weeks so another 3 weeks will go to Case manager or Dmaker and then between a week or 2 for a decision could be quicker or abit longer unless they need more information x

That happened to me around Christmas time. Scan dates 25/10 and I couldn’t work out why they’d ring anyway as I wouldn’t automatically be awarded HRM as you have to fight for it so couldn’t work out why they called and never called them back 😂

So odd isn't it - makes you wonder if your information is being shared. Oh well, can just carry on waiting I suppose haha - thanks for replying

Hi did you claim careers allowance or career’s element? So confused ?

@Jesspa I take photos of every page before I send away and remembered something a bout this being in form so went threw camera roll to have to look lol.

I claimed carers element and disability element, I earn to much for carers allowance ☺️ hope that helps!

@Emma2345 thanks it’s driving me insane! They said a claim was “likely” I will phone again Friday!

Scan date 23/9 still not heard anything been with DM since end of January but been awaiting more information from school.
absolutely doing my head in now

Hello, Scan date also 15/12. Had 2 letters to say 15 week wait so that gives until 29 Mar for decision. Did they indicate this was still the wait time when you called? It seems people on this thread have waited so much longer than that so I don’t know how realistic it is.

I received award letter today! My son was giving HRM under VUW, which I assume was because of a letter from a specialist nurse stating he is unable to walk long distances & has to have regular rest breaks due to his heart conditions.His Down Syndrome means he has no understanding of any of his medical conditions or safety etc. He also displays behavioural issues when walking.

Anyone awarded with scan date 26/10/23?? With the DM but wanna know how long I’ll be waiting

@Hayz0711 ohhh congratulations that’s really good news. I am currently doing. COC for hrm under VUW. My son has ASD , ADHD and also has a hearing loss in one ear. His balance is poor , he really struggles to walk. He’s 8 but his younger brother who’s 19 months can walk better than him. I’m ready to do a. MR if they refuse to give him HRM.

I got my award text message today, scan date of 26/9
not sure what we have got yet but anything will be useful for him

I’d definitely ring about that, I had back pay through on 17th Jan and the letter was with me on 18th.
