I'm not sure if I should wait for the confirmation that they have recieved forms before sending the extra supporting documents.
I should have hung on another week but looking at how long you have all been waiting I just couldn't hang around. Stress

Is there a disabled element and carer element for tax credits or is that just for universal credit? Please help

@IvyGrace hi I have just googled and their does seem to be 1 maybe just ring up to double check as I don’t no for sure about tax credits xx

my sons form was scanned 13-11 so think 12 weeks yesterday, well a dm has just rung to ask a few questions and told me a decision is being made today. Completely shocked as my other son’s recently took 19weeks 3days so they do seem to be getting a little faster either that or completely pot luck. Good luck to everyone still waiting hope you all get decisions very soon

I’ve been following this thread for a couple of weeks now! Scan date 19/10. It was due to be back by 16/10. Posted on 9/10. If approved will I only get back pay from the scan date, rather than when I phoned for the forms, as it was scanned a few days late? I’ve sent off some more evidence yesterday, which I’m hoping they will receive soon! I’m quite annoyed, as I’ve seen others say they’ve been able to post recorded ect and my post office said I wasn’t allowed to due to where it was going?

@Emma2345 thank you, I feel so overwhelmed by it all. I think it is £5480 a year I read somewhere for HRC. Just wondered if they backdate it or increase future payments to catch up

@Mykidsmyworld4 that’s really good I’m not far off you my scan dates 22nd November hopefully you get a decision soon x

@IvyGrace I had a little nosey they back date it to the date you was awarded from ,, but you have to notify them as soon as you no otherwise they will only back date 1 months xx

Did u ring up for forms? I sent two off and both received on 22/11 but one scan date has been put for the date I called and the other for the date received… so maybe they have made your 13/11 for the date you called?

@Nataliepb90 I finally got through after an hour on hold. The man was nice although said I was at 16 weeks and not 17 weeks like I've counted. The evidence has been scanned in so that's a relief. He said I'm in a holding pile and claim should be looked at within 2 weeks and should have a decision around 2/3 days after going to a decision maker. Hope this helps.

@Shaf89 your same scan dates as me I rang on the 13th and got scan date 22nd November

@Gracie1909 @Amycroft @Livd99 after yesterday's update that carers and disability element been accepted I asked on journal this morning about an update and they put a letter up to say both elements been backdated to September and the payment will be in my account within 4 working days x

Yeah I called for the 9th October I think it was, they recieves and scanned them on the 13-11 x

To everyone waiting for renewals I’ve just rang to find out what was happening as my claim is due to end in march 2024 been awarded HRC again but it’s still only for 1 year and not the 2 or more years like I’d hoped for x

Its pathetic you will be doing forms again by the end of this year.
If my child is awarded I would be appealing such a short award as I couldn't face it all again so soon.
My son when younger got two short awards and I appealed he last one which was then changed to 10 years.

@Mykidsmyworld4 i wonder if they go off the date you rang them up then rather than the scan date 9oct as that would bring you up to 17 weeks which is around the time it goes to DM and they start making decisions anyway by the time they give you one it will likely be more towards the 18 week mark I hope it’s from the date you ring so I’m a week closer 😂 xx

Congratulations my scan date is 09/11 really starting to get so anxious wait is killing me. Would love to phone again but no point xx
