@Thenoseymother I've only just had my decision put on my journal so hoping it's not much longer. I seen someone say on a different thread that once that decision was made the previous payment section all changed. Mine still showing as the same payments x

Yes mine are all showing as the same too! Glad it’s not just me lol x

Gracie1909 · 05/02/2024 22:04

@Thenoseymother did they add a note to your journal today? Was it between 8-6? As I was wondering if mine could update anytime or is it only working hours x

Siobhangrace · 06/02/2024 00:22

Hey I was awarded last Wednesday and the money is in my bank account this morning

Gracie1909 · 06/02/2024 06:46

@jess12345678 I was awarded Wednesday and paid today, NatWest x

GirlMamasClub · 06/02/2024 06:47

@jess12345678 yesterday I was told I’d get it today, but nothing. She said the decision was made on Friday 2nd x

Gracie1909 · 06/02/2024 06:47

So today I got my UC statement, the disabled child element is ok, but no carer element. Is this right? I did both in my changes. And also no backdate and still no reply in my journal. X

Gracie1909 · 06/02/2024 06:48

Is there a limit to what you can get if both working? Could that be why I havnt got the carer element x

jess12345678 · 06/02/2024 06:53

Do you think I should go for mr ? As it’s only a year, have you been re awarded yet? It’s so stressful☹️

Anyone else getting more and more paranoid of a decline the closer it comes to your scan date 🤣🤣 mines 10th Oct and I feel like climbing the walls haha! I've seen people with dates after me get awarded and people from September still waiting so I know it makes no difference... Just doesn't help knowing that though haha!

100% freaking out about getting declined, seeing other people with my date and later getting awarded.

The element should still be added regardless of if your both earning or not… as the earnings are taken off via the deductions.
all the elements are first calculated to give you a full picture of what you could be entitled to without any other deductible income.

i haven’t been awarded yet but I have dealt with issues with UC in the past. Not sure how much this differs now but it was always easier to get them moving on the phone so maybe try calling and demand that it’s all fixed before your payment comes next week.

Gracie1909 · 06/02/2024 07:13

@shaf thankyou I am going to call again today, I wouldn't mind if the elements was right atleast and then was only waiting on backpay, but now I feel I'm up in the air waiting on different things etc and it's horrible isn't it. Gives me anxiety x

Shaf89 · 06/02/2024 07:30

@Gracie1909 Be pushy with them and ask to speak to someone senior as they are all thick from what I can remember.
i dealt with them about 6 years ago… returned to work as a single mum and tried to get childcare etc. they messed up my part income benefits every month. As I was a revenues officer, I had to break it down to them bit by bit. I feel like the training they get is pretty poor…
explain in basic language what u need them to get done lol. And keep us updated!

Hello
Long time watcher
Forms requested 02/10
Scan date 10/11
2 letters so far
This wait feels like forever, keep seeing all different dates being awarded does anyone know if it has anything to do with the letters in the reference numbers ?

Amycroft · 06/02/2024 07:52

Anyone know whne the first payment date is dla? Is it 4 weeks after you get awarded on the Tuesday?

Livd99 · 06/02/2024 08:01

I’ve been awarded high rate dla so from what I have gathered I get the high child and carers element on uc however has anyone been refused for the back pay as i dont want to get my hopes up as planning on doing my sons room and garden up?

Tiredmumofmadam1 · 06/02/2024 08:06

yup, the longer I wait the more I think she’s been declined. I really want to sort an OT for her and without this we just can’t do it 😔

same scan date as you! Good luck x

ShellyDerbyshire · 06/02/2024 08:19

Does anyone know what shortcuts you press to get through? Just thinking if I can press the shortcuts without listening to the whole of the options it might get me through quicker if I ring at 9 😅

Are you happy with the award rates? Are you waiting on a diagnosis? Did you make a copy of the form and evidence before you sent it off? x
