@Amycroft If they have updated your claim they can pay the money that is owed before your usual payment date

@Kkh1 well after an hour wait, apparently mine isn't even being looked at! I told him others are being awarded with scan dates after mine. He said he couldn't give an answer why as it shouldn't be processed like that and done in scan date order. He did say the wait is looking to be 17-20 weeks so I need to wait a few more weeks. Bit disheartening but trying to remain positive xx

I just got through dead on an hour, she said it will be looked at most probably on the 18 week mark (which will be next week ) and could take an additional couple of weeks from that , as every few weeks they are updated with a deadline they need to meet ?? Lady was lovely an very helpful
hope this helps anyone

Very true but you can dream about home time and relax with a glass or few 🤣 x

Jesslou37 · 05/02/2024 14:39

@Amycroft @Livd99 I've been waiting 17days for a decision. Went to one the day I informed uc of changes, asked on Friday and there's no timescale to the process 🙄was told to just keep an eye on my journal for a dm update. The carers element has been added on so that's a relief for next payment x

NJB93 · 05/02/2024 14:40

@Kkh1 thanks for the update. It's good to know this should all be over in the next few weeks lol. We've just gotta hold in there a little bit longer xx

Congratulations 💕 can I ask if you rang up or did you get a text? My scan date is 10/10 and it's making me ill waiting 😢 x

GirlMamasClub · 05/02/2024 15:04

18 weeks tomorrow! Scan date 3/10. Called today, took 48 mins to answer and the lady was lovely. I was updating a change to medication and a confirmation of diagnosis. She told me a decision had been made on 2/2/24. I’ve been awarded HRC & LRM, she confirmed how much I’d receive in back pay and that it should go into my account tomorrow.

do I need to wait for a letter before updating UC? Xx

Edited

My sons was awarded today, Ive already been onto my uc journal to update everything and put my carers allowance claim in too, if the wait is anything like dla then it's better sooner rather than later isn't it x

Amycroft · 05/02/2024 15:31

@Jesslou37 this is what annoys me some people's get dome within 1 day and backoay in few days later then others don't heat notging surely we should all get it as we qualify for dla no??

Hi still waiting to hear about decision but just wondering if I get awarded can you claim the disability element on uc no matter which rate you get from Dla or is it just if it’s high rate ?

thanks

Hi still waiting to hear about decision but just wondering if I get awarded can you claim the disability element on uc no matter which rate you get from Dla or is it just if it’s high rate ?

thanks

You can claim it for either rate but for low and middle dla it's a lower rate disabled child premium than higher dla.

Mrssnee16 · 05/02/2024 16:09

Rate Extra monthly amount
Lower rate £146.31 per child
Higher rate £456.89 per child

Disabled child premium rates for universal credit. Low rate is for low and middle rate care dla, higher rate is for high rate care.
