Yep. Still waiting here! Scan date 7/09/23

No one seems to be that late. 😅

@Amycroft what did you put on yours love I’ve heard it does take some time for some people copy and paste it and send it again

My son have been awarded yesterday but only for a year when did I fill the forms out for a renewal might as well do now seeing has it takes months for a answer 🤦🏻‍♀️

It's so annoying they can't reply

I have been watching for a couple months..
Here is my situation!

Called on 18/01 to check as people on here had started to get payments with similar dates.
Was told was with a DM since 12/01
Got a call from DM 21/01 asking a few questions etc.. she requested 2 pieces of evidence from me and will make her decision that day. I confirmed this asking 'without the evidence?' she then confirmed 'yes, I make the decision and a letter will be there in 2 weeks, the evidence is for if they ever review they will want that evidence.
Called the next day for a recorder delivery address for a man to say no decision was made and she will be doing that when the evidence is in! Confusing. So I explained what I had been told and he said it will be done automat as soon as evidence arrives!
Called on 30/01 to check all evidence had been relieved and a update. Told me all evidence scan in on the 24/01 but no update. ??? So not automatic then.

Called lastly on 01/02 and they said still in DMs 'priority pile' but she has asked emailed to speed it up and has told her to call me or will herself when decision comes through.

So fed up or that ring wait tone. All the different answers, if this is all just for a decline I will not understand. Get the impression she is now also on holiday 🤣 as she said she wasn't in and will get when she is back!

Sorry for the lengthy post. My patience is wearing thin, anxiety kicking in and feeling a bit lonely with my dates 😅

@Amycroft Not DLA but my Son's PIP was the same. No acknowledgement for a week. I sent a any clarification? Type message and next day had a letter stating the change and they had backdated me attached on my journal xx

How bloody frustrating… every single person tells you something new it’s ridiculous.:::: almost depends how the dm feels that day!

I made the change of circumstances and then wrote a message to confirm I did it right had a message within that hour sayin it will be verified then I said I wanted to request back pay to the date dla back dated it to then Friday had a msg to say the amount they owe me from the date I phoned up for forms xxx

@Mariehanna im guessing it's juat different for everyone then I wrote a note on there moths ago too and never got a reply should I call Monday or juat keep adding a note

@Siobhangrace they have to continue to make payments for the entirety of the renewal process, so they could receive the renewal forms a day before the deadline and take 4 months to deal with it but still has to continue to make payments until a decision is made ☺️

@Amycroft I did my UC in 1st Feb and not had any response yet either. I'm going to write again on monday. I'm glad it isn't just me waiting as I had heard there normally quick so I was being paranoid! Keep me updated please if you ring xx

Im 14/09 and still waiting too. Will phone Monday as im seeing later dates having decisions....

Hi every one just a quick update. So I put a claim in for my daughter back in May and got declined, I got the statement of reasons and it didnt look like they even looked at the evidence I sent I then did an Mr and I had a call today and have been awarded hrc and lrm. Please fight for what your kids deserve good luck everyone x

When you book days and trips out there's a section for SEN child and carer (proof of care status will be required) are we entitled to select this as we receive dla or not? It's all very confusing and good isn't my best friend

Just wondering if scan date is the date they scan onto system or the day you ring up still along way to go I requested forms beginning of November sent back within the week recorded next day delivery but they said they didn’t receive my forms until the 22nd November im just wondering if it goes from that date and could I request that date to be changed considering I no they recieved them
on the 15th of November as it was next day recorded delivery thanks In advance

Congratulations to everyone getting awarded. May I asked what you sent in and if your child has already been diagnosed?

Your scan date is 22nd November as this is when it was scanned onto their system, however if awarded it will be backdated to the beginning of November when you rang up and requested the forms x

i had a payment put into my bank Friday when will I receive the letter to confirm what rates my sons got does anyone know

Have you checked your payment section on uc?
If they have backdated the carers element it will automatically have updated on previous months and you will get a payment next week.

And yes as long as you provide the letter from dla as proof you should get SEN child/carer passes. But be aware you’ll have to ask dla for a letter every 12 months as some places may not accept it after this time as everyone is award for different periods of time.

I have a question. I applied for DLA for my daughter suspected ASD, developmental delay and epilepsy. I send evidence including EHCP. However I am not sure I explained her day to day needs in great detail. How likely is it that I am awarded. Also I got official diagnosis of autism through a telephone appointment with pediatrician . I will get written report through the post in 2?weeks. Should I call and tell them this or wait until I get the written report to send them a copy? Scan date 8th of November.

Have you completely the section for caring for someone?
Even though I wrote on the journal they asked me to fill it in and write the date I was awarded from which was September.
That way they automatically backdate the payments
