@Jumping85 that's fine I sent alot tbh about 80 pages included a recent pediatrician report, educational psychologist report, ehcp, school risk assement , plus a letter from my sister who works within childcare and a letter from the senco at school x

Jumping85 · 02/02/2024 13:45

@Jneill2021 sounds very similar to my evidence. I’m starting to get anxious about it now as 09/10 scan date. Assuming you had HRC LRM before the MR? x

Jneill2021 · 02/02/2024 13:49

@Jumping85 yeah he was awarded hrc a few years ago I done the forms for mobility last April when he turnt 5 and didn't get an answer till November I think it was, can't believe its taken nearly a year to get everything sorted tbh, I remember applying about 3years ago for my daughter and everything was done with 7 weeks lol x

Siobhangrace · 02/02/2024 13:49

@mez2004 Thank you! I’m currently still on hold 🤦🏻‍♀️

NJB93 · 02/02/2024 13:49

Shaf89 · 02/02/2024 12:53

I’m on hold for an update - 13/10 - I doubt it’s gone to anyone yet but I wanted to check anyways as I have to go into Jobcentre on Tuesday and prove that I can’t take on work commitments due to my kids…

anyone else who called today… how bad was the waiting?

Did you manage to get through at all? My scan date is just after yours and won't have time to call today xx

2kidsmumm · 02/02/2024 13:52

My scan date is 25/09, I rang on 18th approx 4.30pm and call handler didn't even open my child's details when I told her my scan date.
Rang again on 26th and told it was with a DM, called again on 30th - told a decision will be in a couple of days, rang again 01/02 to be told its still with a DM. Rang again today - got the same woman from the 18th - much more helpful(probably as it wasn't near her hometime) to be told they are taking approx 19-20 weeks and I'll be 20 weeks on the 9th Feb.
I have rang them so much this past week as on A/L aswell as appointment for child but I work the same hours as them and it's never less than an hours wait time to speak to someone - swear they sit there laughing at the call wait times.
My teen is a recent diabetic (6months) so not as in need at all as some of the posts I've read but the difference even LRC to the household would be great for food allowances, medical supplies such as clear dressings/Plasters to keep his sensors in place, the cost of hospital parking for appointments (3rd yesterday since start of the year) aswell as having the loss of income in taking the time off to take him to these appointments - all the things they seem to disregard basically.
But everytime ring and they are stroppy telling me the date of my last call I want to ask them if there's a limit to how many times as if I could id ring every day for an update because that service is there to help all of our children no matter what they have going on individually and they deserve every call we make on there behalf.
BTW sorry for my long ranting post.
Hope everyone gets good news for their deserving loved ones today ❤️

Jumping85 · 02/02/2024 14:36

@Jneill2021 Well done for fighting it, congrats again! x

jess12345678 · 02/02/2024 14:46

What’s everyone’s scan date please? Also what are people sending in? Thinking it will declined as all I have is the letter from teacher , child minder as still waiting for his app. I done a detailed breakdown on his needs

Siobhangrace · 02/02/2024 14:55

@Jonesy0102 thank you! 27th September

Kelle1085 · 02/02/2024 15:01

Sorry to jump on I’ve been on here for a while waiting, but my scan date was 28/9 and I received £2197.05 on Tuesday. I called up for my form also. I don’t know the rates as I’ve had no letters. Many thanks 😊

Mojo161989 · 02/02/2024 15:08

Anyone else having trouble with getting universal credit to reply to journal entry for change of disabled child element? I've heard nothing back and it's been 3 days since I messaged. I've sent another today? Really frustrating. Xox

If you take off the £10 Christmas bonus it works out to be 17 weeks of HRC LRM, congrats x

Did you return your form on time? What date did you call for it? x

mez2004 · 02/02/2024 15:34

@Siobhangrace ah amazing so happy for you.

Kelle1085 · 02/02/2024 15:36

I’m not sure to be honest, think it was the beginning of September. It was 1 day late back tho. That might be why they haven’t backdated it to then. Will have to wait for my letter. Thanks for working it out been trying to work it out x

Jesslou37 · 02/02/2024 15:38

@Mojo161989 2 weeks ago I updated them with change of circumstances and requested it go to a dm for back payment of carers element and disabled element. I've written on there again today and got a reply within minutes saying there's no time frame for it to be decided and any payment issued can be in small payments or a lump sum. I went into the jobcentre and had someone amend my furture payments to include carers element so knew it was actually done. Has anyone on here managed to get a backpayment from uc? And was it a lump sum or in small bits as and when suits them?x

Siobhangrace · 02/02/2024 15:52

Thank you so much! 😊 @mez2004

Katey252 · 02/02/2024 16:01

Scan date 29th September - I rang this afternoon after reading this thread. Hour and 1/2 wait. I was awarded on the 30th Jan - it was COC with MRC and LRM - mobility is staying the same and the care is going up to Higher rate which will make a massive difference - not sure if I will contest the mobility, I will re look at it when I get the letter - she said the payment had been issued 31st Jan so with latest next Tuesday - just wanted to post some positive news for the scan date and COC awarded x

Jumping85 · 02/02/2024 16:10

@Kelle1085 That’s annoying, I think you could query it. I believe it’s the dm’s decision to backdate if late even if it’s only by one day x

Kelle1085 · 02/02/2024 16:25

@Jumping85 to be honest I wouldn’t fight it. I’m just glad we have been awarded after a fair few weeks of worry. I was more confused with the rates as with the beginning of September it just didn’t work out. Good luck to everyone! With reading everyone’s posts over the past few weeks has kept me sane! 😊 x

saturnspinkhoop · 02/02/2024 16:33

I don’t know if it’s helpful, but I applied last January and just won at appeal. For anyone worried about attending an appeal, it’s honestly ok. The panel were very nice and the questions they asked were just to clarify things. I never felt like they were trying to trip me up. A decision was made there and then. It was very straightforward.

Mariehanna · 02/02/2024 16:53

Reported changes to uc Wednesday just checked journal back dated money is goin in on Tuesday pretty quick turn around
