I've also been following for a while, and we also have the same scan date, 29/9. Haven't rung to chase. Just hoping our little guy is successful for the claim he so needs. Thank you for your update, hoping it won't be too long until we hear something too.

Chattycatty · 01/02/2024 16:40

Hi hope its ok just to jump in with a question. We've just had our renewal accepted and he's been awarded high rate care and low rate mobility he was previously on mid rate care. Do I need to tell tax credit about the change in payments?

Amycroft · 01/02/2024 16:40

@Jesslou37 omg so more waiting then! Didn't realise this goes to a DM too juat thought it was a certain thing they gave you🙄

Jesslou37 · 01/02/2024 16:51

@Amycroft the carers element will be added on no problem, it's the back payment of money that needs to be looked at. Not sure what takes them so long as they can see on the system it's been awarded🙄 they'd be quick enough to demand money off us if was overpayed. I'm going to add a note on journal tomorrow and ask what the time scale is for a decision then how long for a payment x

Steven19uk · 01/02/2024 18:03

Oh my gosh, been lurking for a long time!
scan date was 4/10
awarded today despite calling yesterday and saying not with any decision makers yet
over the moon!!!

Amycroft · 01/02/2024 18:12

@Jesslou37 yes exactly my point we would d be getting a letter or a call I done mine 2 days ago and written on the journal twice and nothing back as of yet🙄

Scan date 24/11, I know I have a long wait but do we know roughly what date they are at currently?

Margot82x · 01/02/2024 18:29

@012345k my scan date is 22/11, from seeing posts I think there finishing off Septembers and heading into first week of October xx

UsernameUnavailable12 · 01/02/2024 18:48

@012345k scan date 23/11, I don’t think they even know what they’re doing anymore, seen people Still waiting with september scan dates but seeing people with scan dates in October being awarded

GirlMamasClub · 01/02/2024 18:55

@Steven19uk congratulations! My scan date is 3/10. I’m praying my little girl is soon 🙏🏻

27Rosie16 · 01/02/2024 19:05

@GirlMamasClub Have you phoned up at all?

Holllymum · 01/02/2024 19:16

To anyone that’s sent more evidence in do you send it in with the reference number?

GirlMamasClub · 01/02/2024 19:16

@27Rosie16 I haven’t as of yet, i’m actually planning on calling tomorrow with a change of circumstances in terms of medication that’s now been prescribed

Hayz0711 · 01/02/2024 19:23

@Holllymum i wrote my son’s name, DOB & reference number on top of each piece of paper x

I wouldn't hold back putting in a claim, you could potentially be missing out on extra £££ needed for your child. I kno the form is very very daunting itself and its hard to put down in words but i think the sooner you can the better, im happy to help anyone struggling with their claim who Is similar to my 2yr old daughter ASD. Plenty of examples to use xx

Thank you. I'm waiting to hear back on a claim for my eldest (scan date 25/10), so I thought it might be sensible to see how that one goes first in case I've not done a good enough job of the forms. But then I'm just prolonging the wait! I don't know what is for the best at the moment.

jess12345678 · 01/02/2024 19:26

Did you send much in x

Nataliepb90 · 01/02/2024 14:00

I've just called with a scan date of 10th Oct and was told I should have a response week of 19th Feb and to send any extra evidence recorded delivery to make sure it gets to them in time to be looked at

What address did you use? I heard its different if recorded delivery?

012345k · 01/02/2024 19:29

@Margot82x @UsernameUnavailable12 thank you both. Sounds like we could be waiting till end of March at this rate. So frustrating the wait times for these claims. A house sale goes through quicker than this!

With universal as they take me and my partner's earnings into account, we don't receive alot off them currently, so if they count the dla payment I will now receive each month for my daughter, will they class that as income and they will take more off us but we technically wud get it back off DLA?
