Thread following on from part 27

Just got off the phone my son has been declined I don’t know how what I’m feeling at the moment after a very long stressful wait to now have to wait for a letter for reasons of decline

I'm so sorry 😞 did they not list reason they have declined over the phone? We have seen many times on these threads cases were they have been declined and then had awards at MR. I have hope that you will get the award your child deserves, I'm just gutted that you now have to wait an additional 8 weeks for the MR process.

Scan date 28/9

Given in and am now calling…..I was trying to not, but seeing other people with the same scan date get an answer has got me wondering.

I couldnt resist either currently 18 mins on hold so might be a while still yet.

No no reason was just told to wait for the letter then do an MR I filled the original forms myself thinking of asking somebody to help with the MR he’s 15 first time claiming didn’t know what to expect tbh

Just got through awarded yesterday scan date 28/9
Fingers crossed for everyone else that is waiting.

I just realised that my scan date is 25/10 NOT 10/10 that I have thought until now. Another couple of weeks added.

Need to apply for my other kiddo too but think I want to wait to find out how this application went first.

Im still 45 mins on hold the butterflies and sick feeling all going on right now 😣

How long does it usually take to get through on the phone? I’ve been on hold for 50 mins so far.
I can’t remember when I posted the forms back so I have no idea what week I’m on but it was roughly sept/oct time

Hi, just wondering if anyone can help me, I was awarded my sons DLA in October 2023. Since then he has been given his official diagnosis what I’ve just getting through the post today. Should I send this off to DLA for evidence that’s he’s got austim or should I just leave it until his renewal in a few year time? Thanks

Just received the text for cost of living 😩
I know I've got at least another month to wait but that text made me feel sick thinking my child might have been declined .
If only they knew just how stressful these stupidly long waits are for us 😡

Omg such a relief awarded high rate care for 2 year old daughter ASD.. scan date 27/9 no evidence just 4 pages of my own explanation. And a photograph of her finger nails as she rips these off. I am so very shocked, when i took amelia to her first ever peadiatrician appointment the consultant said to me ‘when she is older we will help with a claim for DLA’ i said why when she is older why not now and she said ‘ohh theyl just decline it because of her age and we kno what to pit on the forms’ so i didnt tell her oh well by the way iv already put a claim in and now youv made me feel terrible n that we automatically gonna get declined but just goes to show dont b put off! B strong everyone xx

Parking up , scan date is the 16th Oct, I’m worried as I only sent in letter from teacher and childminder and a detailed breakdown of home life. Waiting for his adhd appointment to come through . Please somewon shed some good news with getting a positive outcome 😀

Has anyone actually heard back from uc yet aboit bavkoay or the extra elements? They don't seem to like to reply do they

@Sharniexxx7 hi just wondering how long did they award her for as I'm waiting for decision for my 2 year old also and have they not said when u can apply for mobility x

They can get HRM from age 3 amd LRM from age 5 it’s on the website

@Jonesy0102 yh I no just didn't no if they tell you with the decision at a certain point they can get mobility as someone else on here has been awarded care but said after there birthday will gey mobility

Yes depending on the child’s age and when you’re awarded counts as I’ve read they contact you 6 months prior to age 3 or 5 for a review if they award close to the child’s birthday they award for when the child gets to that age if they’re deemed eligible
