Well done congrats when was your scan date when does she turn 5 so will the LRM be paid from her birthday ?

4/10 anyone else already preparing for a MR I am and trying to gather more evidance ready as nursery have now applied for inclusion funding 1 to 1 as really struggles at nursery also health visitor now referred my son with asd to a consultant to get his weight and height done for a special needs pushchair also 2nd hearing assessment hoping all this will help towards a Mr also saved his diagnoses letter for MR also x

Just wanted to add my dates for anyone still waiting.
Forms ordered - 16/08
Forms sent - 15/09
Forms scanned - 28/09
First letter - 03/10
Second letter - 15/11
First text - 05/12
Second text - 08/01

Money in the bank at exactly 18 weeks from scan date and they backdated to the date I ordered the forms even though they were one day late being scanned. They didn't contact anyone I had put on the forms and they didn't ring me. I sent ASD diagnosis letter, SALT report and SOGS assessment.

Thanks I saw someone else mention they got lrm from the child’s birthday could I ask your scan date ?

I'm more than happy with the award and I have no intention of disputing it. I thought they may not have awarded mobility as my daughter isn't physically incapable of walking, but she does have some quite severe sensory issues that can cause her to be unpredictable whilst out and about and she does need constant supervision, so I'm happy they have given her LRM.

I have just rang to put note on the system that my daughter had been giving a place in special needs school. I asked for a update on phone she said it’s in the second holding que. Haven’t got a clue what that means.

I've just phoned for an update, 3 hangups then a 48 min wait. Lovely man on the phone, I had mentioned our financial hardship so he put a note on my account for priority, he said I should have a decision in about 2 weeks. Scan date 25.10

Hi when updating universal do I need to no what date they started the award from? I requested forms Oct 5th, scanned 25th Oct, not sure when they are back dating to. But can I only update universal once I no the exact date or do they not ask? X

Called DLA this morning, found out my son was awarded yesterday HRC LRM. So both my babies have now been awarded the same rates this week, I can't quite believe it but so relieved they've both got what they deserve! Both scan dates 28th Sep, didn't get a text for either of them. Thanks so much to this thread and everyone in it, has kept me sane the past 4 months! Good luck to all still waiting x

As you requested the forms 5.10 and had them to dla b4 6 weeks point that will be the date the claim is awarded from. So dla, uc carers element and disabled child element will all be back dated to 5th Oct for you, you will need to tell them the rates awarded and the date you'll be getting it from, so 5th Oct.

HUGE congratulations to everyone that has been awarded!! I rang DLA on Tuesday and was told it is with a DM.. do you think its too soon for me to ring back again and ask for a update, my scan date 27/9

Think I still have a wait ahead of me, scan date 06/11, wish I knew sooner I was able to apply for dla, we will be changing to pip before the end of the year

I spoke to them on Tuesday too and was told the same and then had money in the bank this morning. If that hadn't of been put in I was going to ring today so if I were you I'd give them a call.

4/10 just rang to add some information on form and man said it is now with a decision maker !! And should have decision in a few days so ring back Wednesday for a answer as shojld be made anytime now up to a few days #nervous fingers crossed for my boy and everyone else around same scan date x

It depends I suppose. For the sake of your sanity I'd ring because I know the waiting is awful and the anxiety you feel being in limbo is horrendous. Fingers crossed for you!
