DanniiB1983 · 30/01/2024 13:06

@Naylor19 @Asdmomof2
MR 6/12
Thankyou 🙂
I've just called to say I'm sending my sons new EHCP. It's now with a case manager! They've put a note on the system saying to hold off until evidence received tomorrow. I will call Thursday am to make sure they've received and maybe a positive outcome 🤞 😊 🙏

Twinnies010920 · 30/01/2024 13:24

New claim scan date 28/09
Rang last wednesday was still waiting to be sent to DM

FlutterByASD · 30/01/2024 13:34

Fingers crossed for everyone ringing today. Hopefully you all get good news! I think most of us late September scan dates will have answers before the end of the week.

Does anybody know how long it takes uc to back date the child disability element? I contacted them on Friday to let them know the changeof circumstances was told referred to case manager yesterday, I'm sure I've seen in the past people getting it on the same day?? This is also confusing for me

Mojo161989 · 30/01/2024 13:51

Does anyone know the difference between a case manager and decision maker? I am currently on week 10 of a mandatory reconsideration and called for an update to be told its with a case manager now. Xox

Case Managers are a lower grade brought in to help Decision Makers clear some of the backlog. I think they do a lot of the checking before a final decision is authorised by a DM.

I agree with @RainbowZebraWarrior they are a grade down from a DM, they essentially do most of the clerical and admin side of things then cases are forwarded over to be finalised by a DM.

Scan date 13/10 just managed to get through he says I have around a week to send in extra evidence and to send asap but apart from that he was quite rude and clearly just wanted me off the phone was on hold 57 minutes so not as bad as previous

Amycroft · 30/01/2024 14:20

I'm 28/9 too and mine was with a CM last Wednesday and is now with a DM so I'm expecting a decision in the next couple of days.

It's the date they have awarded it from. I've just had to do this for my PIP, and I waited for the letter to be absolutely certain (even though I'd rang and got all the details)

If you are absolutely sure of the date it's been backdated to, put that date and then add that you've only just had the decision.

Mummy111520 · 30/01/2024 14:32

Thank you I’m going to wait for the letter I think just to make sure how long wait is the letter
