@Themrseds Snap on scan date, got told it was with a case manager last week still nothing it’s so nerve racking seeing so many awards being made for weeks after 🤯 fingers crossed you get awarded in the next couple of days 🤞🏻

I sent it off 06/12 which will be 8 weeks this week but it’s been Christmas and New Year so hopefully in the next 2 weeks I have got confirmation to tell me they have got it and it’s not lost!

Got told yesterday was still with dm however just had a payment in the bank, so don’t know how that’s worked out. Going to call first thing and find out rates chuffed and relieved

@Zimzim77 congratulations,that was really fast.my scan date is 19/10…hopefully not too long

My son has the same diagnosis he had DLA from being about 8 I think. He's now 16 and gets PIP. x

can see payment pending! first time applying Son was awarded MRC and LRM until 2029 sent one price of evidence.

Did you send it recorded delivery ? Can you check via your receipt ?

@Imonao I’m the same scan date and my child is also 15. This wait is awful. Hope we both hear good news soon! X

@WhereDidTheTimeGo888 oh this makes me feel a little better. It was just seeing all the young children getting awarded but I didn’t know much about Dla and especially that you could apply without diagnosis but better late than never he needs it now and that’s all that matters

@Imonao I was thinking the same, but I’ve seen a few older children awarded. I saw 12/10 awarded the other day too but I don’t know how old their child was. My son is 15 & 6ft3 and definitely needs a lot more care. I really struggled with the forms, it was so upsetting. I don’t feel like I wrote everything exactly how it is, if that makes sense. It’s hard to talk to anyone because people don’t understand unless they live it daily.

@WhereDidTheTimeGo888 no I totally get you my son 6 ft size 10 feet but a big gentle giant the teenage years have been so hard

@Imonao the teenage years have definitely been the hardest, just the meltdowns alone have been quite hard to handle. He doesn’t sleep much either, feel like a walking zombie most days, but he’s a good kid and I love him to bits. Let’s just hope the people reading the forms are understanding.

My sons 15 too on week 18 really think he’s been declined

I sent my form off on the 20th December and received a letter on the 10th of January saying they had received my application and are working on my claim. Also they asked for my DS birth certificate. Maybe try give them a call to check they have received it.

I'm starting to feel so nervous, I haven't sent any evidence in as I just don't have anything yet, still being referred at the moment! 😩 the anxiety from waiting is dreadful. Fingers crossed for everyone still waiting, I'm 5/10.

Same scan date as me! I'm hoping it's not too long for us now!

4/10 must be with a slow DM as dates after are already being awarded ..hope its not a decline as I will fight it all the way 💪 💯 fingers crossed hear this week or next 😀

@Sarahdestiny stay positive I have a scan date of 28/9 told yday with a dm I’m willing to fight this til the end for my girl
