Sarahdestiny · 29/01/2024 10:43

Currently on hold 4/10 if no progress I am gonna wait it out till week 19 before I call again if I don't hear oat before as trying to get through to them takes hours and I just don't have the patients lol

Sausage7Green · 29/01/2024 10:46

I think my scan date was before they returned to school in September, so early September.

Now to do it all again for child no.2 🙄

mumtumok · 29/01/2024 10:46

@Kkh1 Son is 2, suspected ASD & ADHD . Just his referral from health visitor to the CDC and his acceptance letter also a SALT referral. 2-3 hand written pages and a sleep diary of 7 days x

Kkh1 · 29/01/2024 10:56

Thank you for getting back to me and what rate did you receive for this please ? Thank you x

My daughter has just been diagnosed ADHD (not diagnosed when I made the claim) I sent very little evidence, I just wrote a sleep diary of only 1 night. Nobody else filled out the section in the form. I just sent her one page plan from school, her blue badge letter and then when she got her diagnosis I sent that in as extra evidence. Hope this helps x

Sarahdestiny · 29/01/2024 11:15

4/10 finally got through
Still not with a decision maker told me taking 18 weeks at the moment so estimated I will hear something by the middle of febuary so still 2 to 3 weeks wait yet :/ so still a paintful wait ahead

AndrewGarfieldsLaptop · 29/01/2024 11:22

I just want to say thank you to everyone on here. This process of having a child with additional needs, applying for the benefits which is really heartbreaking and then waiting... it's been a long 18 weeks. But you lot are so positive and kind, and in a weird way it's nice not to be alone.

✌🏻

Bearintheredhat · 29/01/2024 11:27

@AndrewGarfieldsLaptop its hard isn’t it.
I’d anything, just anything in the world, to not be applying for this.

Filling out the form filled me with a sadness I’ve not been able to shake. And the waiting for something I don’t really want, but need, is obsessive.

Talking to anyone in RL is impossible, so this thread helps a lot.

wish I wasn’t here with all my heart.

mumtumok · 29/01/2024 11:30

Low rate , really deflating:( going to do a mr because he really deserves better. The whole use of the DLA money was to get him into a specialist school x

FlutterByASD · 29/01/2024 11:32

Congratulations to everyone who has got an award today 👏

Hi all,

ive been watching these threads for a few weeks now.
my scan date is 28.9.23. Possible ADHD, no diagnosis yet, of my 7 year old son, needs are quite severe due to his behaviour. permanent exclusion from school etc.
called this morning said with a DM and in final stages of a decision (not sure what that means) said still need to allow the 20 weeks though.

the waiting is killing me :(

RainsbowandBunnies · 29/01/2024 12:06

Just had the we are still looking at your claim text. Got excited for a second. I've never had a text just 2 letters so at least I'm part of the text crew 😂
This claim is driving me crackers x

The DLA form and the EHCP forms have made me sob. I included a photo of my kid on the DLA form saying that despite losing his sister and being ADHD, he's a good kid with a bright future and I'm trying really hard to give him that 😭
