Don't no what he got yet.

Does anyone no how long you wait for payment till it goes in after recieveing a letter?

Mummytoviboys · 08/01/2024 12:48

@funinthesun19 congratulations, hopefully the mobility part doesn’t take too long!
doesn’t seem fair that they won’t award it as they’ve only just looked at your claim!

FlutterByASD · 08/01/2024 12:51

@EEFO1234 I have the same scan and text dates as you!

BakingMum17 · 08/01/2024 12:51

Had 2nd text today.
Scan date 28/9

Babzie · 08/01/2024 12:53

Letter was awarded on the 3rd if that helps anyone out with the same date x

EEFO1234 · 08/01/2024 12:54

@FlFlutterByASD hi, the wait is killing me I also got a letter but not sure what date that was it when I got it, it was before I received any texts, saying wait times are 15 weeks

BakingMum17 · 08/01/2024 12:56

@EEFO1234 same scan and text dates as me xx Finger crossed for our turn soon...

FlutterByASD · 08/01/2024 12:57

@EEFO1234 I've had 2 letters and 2 texts. From what I've read, the earliest we could receive a decision is the last week of January, but I think most likely it will be from the 5th of Feb onwards. I suppose it just depends on whether we get one of the speedier decision makers or not 🤣

FlutterByASD · 08/01/2024 13:00

@BakingMum17 the rate they are going currently I can't see us getting a decision any time soon unfortunately 😔

EEFO1234 · 08/01/2024 13:04

@FFlutterByASD Hopefully haha, it feels like forever waiting for a decision but I've read that some people have waited so long for one, hopefully not much longer

EEFO1234 · 08/01/2024 13:05

@BBakingMum17 hopefully not much longer I was going to phone on Thursday to chase up as it will be 15 weeks from the scan date

Whhhhaaathe · 08/01/2024 13:06

I’ve just had a 2nd text today.

scan date was 27/09 and I’ve had a letter to say they received the paperwork then another asking for birth certificate then another saying the wait is 15 weeks and they are dealing with the claim 1st text was 5th December and 2nd today. Hopefully get a decision soon, how long roughly should I expect to wait after the 2nd text?

also does anyone know about applying for 2year old funded childcare hours if we do get the DLA? My little one is 3 in March but I can’t find anything about how to apply for the 2year funding hours on DLA? Can it be backdated? Childcare is costing an absolute fortune. Any help would be really appreciated

Laurahansom28 · 08/01/2024 13:09

Thanks for that update. I'm the 6th September so hopefully not too much longer now.

Hiya, did they state why they need birth certificate? Is this something we should be sending with the claim form as it doesn't ask for it?

Whhhhaaathe · 08/01/2024 13:12

I think it was to confirm his identity? I can’t remember the exact wording? But I sent it off and they sent it back a few weeks ago

Tylerjade89 · 08/01/2024 13:13

29/08 scan date. Hopefully not long now. Got told last week it wasn't with a DM/cm yet so who knows 🤯

FlutterByASD · 08/01/2024 13:13

@Whhhhaaathe I think its usually about 5-6 weeks from the second text you get a decision but I've read people saying they've had 3 texts and some people have waited over 22 weeks for a decision so I'm not entirely sure. I feel like the people at the DWP are just making things up as they go..

I've seen loads of posts about people getting 1,2 even 3 texts. I've not had even 1 just 2 letters even though my mobile number was listed on the claim form. I wonder if its a location thing..

TanSav95 · 08/01/2024 13:19

Is anyone still waiting with the scan date 18/8? Phoned Friday said it was with a case manager and shouldn’t be too much longer.

Hood1991 · 08/01/2024 13:22

@TanSav95 17/08 and still waiting to.

TanSav95 · 08/01/2024 13:23

Seeing people with later dates than ours getting decisions, making me want to know what’s going on.

Tmpoftwo · 08/01/2024 13:24

@Babzie I'm the same date as you just received the letter which doesn't say what rates but when I phoned last Friday she said it should be paid tomorrow.

Lulakate84 · 08/01/2024 13:24

That happened to me but when I phoned to update my bank details they checked an had inputted my number wrong. So I had my first text last week an two letters previous to that, scan date 19/09.

Helenmummyof3 · 08/01/2024 13:24

Scan date 31/8 just rang and it’s with a cm any idea how long it’s with a cm for. I’m so worried it’s going to be a decline

Loup19863 · 08/01/2024 13:50

@Helenmummyof3 mine was with a cm for over a week earlier this year when I claimed for my other child. Can be anything from a day to a week depending on how many they’re looking at and if they need any more info etc. fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻 x
