RaychieBee · 05/01/2024 10:27

@Rellz thank you 🥰

funinthesun19 · 05/01/2024 10:38

@RaychieBee Congratulations! x

2010crazyboymum · 05/01/2024 10:39

@RaychieBee well done! I was awarded yesterday MRC LRM. I've asked for a statement of reasons because my sons whole claim is mobility reasons... just want to see what reasons they give?
He can only walk when holding on to someone to counter balance him.. and falls otherwise.

Rellz · 05/01/2024 10:43

Finally got through again. Been told it’s now a 4.5 month wait for all claims, I should not expect to hear anything until late Jan / Feb… it’s not even with a DM. My scan date is 01/09. It will probably be May by the time I hear anything with how often they push it back

funinthesun19 · 05/01/2024 10:46

Just rang them to check again. It’s still with a DM so I don’t think I will hear now until next week.

Wildboysmum18 · 05/01/2024 10:53

Are case managers & decision makers the same? I called today I’m on week 19, she said it’s with a case worker and I should hear within a week. 🥵

Ilovemychildren123 · 05/01/2024 10:56

@Rae89xx thank you for the update I’m currently on week 6 of MR hopefully not too much longer. Was your MR for mobility side? Thanks x

RaychieBee · 05/01/2024 10:56

@Rellz they say anything so you don't keep ringing 😂 I phoned on the 3rd to be told mine was still in the holding queue and wouldn't be on a desk for another 3/4weeks but turns out it was on a desk 🤷 I'd give it another week or 2. Most people are getting decisions around the 19/20th week.

Same... Came through today! Really pleased for you 😌

RaychieBee · 05/01/2024 11:04

An hour on hold, they answered and hung up 😭

Rellz · 05/01/2024 11:09

Finger crossed, the waits are ridiculous at this point

zoedavis123 · 05/01/2024 11:20

@Ash894 you calling today? i may wait till monday ? x

Ash894 · 05/01/2024 11:24

@zoedavis123 I'm on hold now. I wasn't going to as I rang yesterday but I'm sick of being told different things. I'll let you know what they say x

Jmam · 05/01/2024 11:27

@RaychieBee could you let me know how tax credits works with dla when you find out please, as I have no idea and would like to be a little clued up altho I still don't know if been awarded or not I like to Try and be on top of things
CONGRATULATIONS by the way x

RaychieBee · 05/01/2024 11:36

@Jmam once youve been awarded and know the rates and what date it's being back payed too, you can inform tax credits and depending on the rates depends on how much top up you get plus you'll get back payed from tax credits and carers allowance if your eligible for it :) you can ring up or I think update your tax credits online

Im 24/08 I'm seeing alot of people saying they have had there decisions. Few have said money was in the bank before they receive a letter. I have a horrible feeling my daughter isn't going to be awarded. Did try to call but had the phone cut off on me so gave up in the end it's so draining!!

Ash894 · 05/01/2024 11:46

@zoedavis123 Hi just got off the phone and apparently its been assigned to someone to be looked at so it may be done over the weekend or next week x

I feel exactly the same and have the same horrible feeling that my DD is going to get a decline too. I’m 23/08.

Gemma111 · 05/01/2024 11:49

It's horrible isn't it such a long wait keeps you on edge. If there not awarded then it's even worse making someone wait so long to be told no. I hope we hear soon.

Rae89xx · 05/01/2024 11:51

@Ilovemychildren123
hi, yes my MR was for mobility. I did receive a text on the 20/12/23 advising up to a further 4 weeks, im not sure if this was a text from DM, in total 8 weeks tho. Been advised all different time scales from 3 weeks to 15 x

Ajm1325 · 05/01/2024 11:57

For all those awarded how long did the UC disability element take to get back dated, I reported the changes on my UC Journal on the day my son was awarded (20th Dec) and still haven't heard anything back in from universal credit.

cocoapple · 05/01/2024 11:59

@Ajm1325 I reported the changes on the 15th of December, got a letter in my journal on the 28th saying my claim has been accepted and got back pay today

HKiSm · 05/01/2024 12:02

My daughter was awarded yesterday.
I have updated my UC this morning, and they have asked me why there is the delay in the reporting and that they’ve rejected the carers element?
has anyone had similar problem with this before?

Ajm1325 · 05/01/2024 12:02

@cocoapple that's great thankyou, I am assuming its just taking a while due to the xmas break.
