Congratulations!!!!

ASDMammy3418 · 04/01/2024 10:23

Thank you. It has me so stressed am hardly sleeping. Hopefully if they are the same I won’t have to long to wait now.

Anonymousks1984 · 04/01/2024 10:28

@Ilovemychildren123 my scan date for MR is 25th November and I’ve been told it’s with a DM and should have a decision by the 8th 🤷‍♀️ I think they tell you all different things when you call

Liddyj · 04/01/2024 10:29

@126t Hello how did you go about getting a assessment my son is a nightmare in the car and escapes and will attack me while I’m driving we’re in the north west x

Ilovemychildren123 · 04/01/2024 10:29

@Anonymousks1984 she just said ours was in the holding queue and should hear by end of the month. Hopefully it will be sooner for us both x

Mumof6boys1girl · 04/01/2024 10:32

Finally got through so my son has Addison's which can be life threatening has to be checked up on every hour 4 injections a day has diabetes has to be supervised in kitchen as a binge eater has scolliosis can hardly walk when he does he falls over awaiting spinal surgery and was today denied fuming is an understatement

Liddyj · 04/01/2024 10:46

@Mumof6boys1girl it’s disgusting how they can decline claims with such high care needs it’s ridiculous now I don’t have much hope really sorry for you but fight it all the way .. these decision makers who make such crappy decisions need to have complaints put in about them it’s so wrong x

Keddie · 04/01/2024 10:47

@Mumof6boys1girl I was declined to, I feel the decision was made based on her diagnosis not the level of care my DD has. As a first time claimer I didnt go into to much detail of the affects it has on her or the amount of extra care she requires vs her identical twin sister. currently going down the MR route, you should do this too xx

RaychieBee · 04/01/2024 10:49

@Mumof6boys1girl deffo MR! What the hell!!!

logangracie93 · 04/01/2024 11:23

sorry to ask, I know it's been asked 492959183 times 🤦🏼‍♀️ I cant find the post. how do I update universal credit now? and ask for it backdated? and I've also read about carers allowance/element? i work 7 hours a week, so is either going to work for me? any help appreciated 🤯🤯

Jmam · 04/01/2024 11:25

@126t Do you mean that you applied for dla in September? If so you can send off extra notes and evidence somehow, I've seen other people say they have sent off extra bits

126t · 04/01/2024 11:28

Jmam yes my scan date is September 21st

Mumof6boys1girl · 04/01/2024 11:39

Mr done on phone lovely lady Zoe asked her how hell is that normal for a 14year old should of known be ause he was denied when he was younger battling neuroblastoma cancer to me his care needs are more than a normal 14 year old I can't believe how this system works

Mamatoooo4 · 04/01/2024 11:56

Iv just called and mine is now with a CM. Scan date 21st August

mumto3withasd · 04/01/2024 12:02

morning, i have a scan date 28/9 so almost 14 weeks, does anyone know the current wait times because ive been told by dla 15 weeks, 17 weeks, 19 weeks, 20 weeks, ive had 2 letters and one text so far but i can never get through i didnt get a anything to say they recieved the formed for 8 weeks but i new because i did a next day signed for delivery for it so had my own confirmation first. thanks

Mamatoooo4 · 04/01/2024 12:05

My scan date is 21st August and just went to a decision maker today. The dates seem to be allover the place as a few people are still waiting from august yet others in September have been awarded. I havent recieved any texts at all, and it was weeks until i got a letter to say they had recieved the forms. I think its just hit and miss wether you get texts and also when a decision will be made. I will be 20 weeks on monday.

Jmam · 04/01/2024 12:10

@126t yeah you can send extra evidence to add to your application, I'm not 100% sure how you do it tho. I've just seen others comment on here about sending extra evidence. Hope you manage to do it

Homesweethome93 · 04/01/2024 12:11

Hi I’ve just called this morning got through in under an hour, lovely man on the phone said they are in the 17th August today for coc a decision should be made by next Friday

mumto3withasd · 04/01/2024 12:12

i think its ridiculous i am waiting to hear because shes been refused twice when she was younger so i waited 5 years to put this claim in when i finally got her diagnosis, when i did my sons renewal jan 23 it literally took 3 days, do they still have the overflow teams working with the backlog?

DaylaD · 04/01/2024 12:18

Scan date 02.10. I can’t believe the waiting times!!

Momof2Life · 04/01/2024 12:34

@DaylaD
scan date 18.10 can you keep me posted on your progress if any 😂
Have you had any texts or letters? X

That sounds promising I was scanned 15th August for change of circumstances. I was told when called yesterday that it would not be looked at until the end of the month and they cannot start chasing until week 24, this week is week 20 for me.

mumoftwoxxx · 04/01/2024 13:01
