@RaychieBee

21/08
Called today on hold for 1hr 45m. Lovely woman answered.
Mine was given to a DM on the 29th..
Says to call back end of the week if not heard by then.
She says my claim has no current indication of enquiries being made to verify anything so fingers crossed should be a quick turn around.

Hey, I was told the same this morning. Went to a DM on Friday 🙏

Paige36 · 02/01/2024 15:30

Just wanted to update for the people worrying about evidence they’ve sent, my daughter was awarded 29/12 (scan date 21/08). Called today to find out rates, she’s been awarded HRC and LRM and the only evidence I had sent was a SALT report from 2022 as at the time I sent the form, this was the only evidence I had of her needs. Good luck to you all, I hope you all hear soon🤞🏻

RaychieBee · 02/01/2024 16:02

If it helps, I was told that it depends on the DM that your claim has been appointed too to how long it takes. Some work faster than others and some work overtime and weekends. Unfortunately it seems like ours is with a slow dm 😂

Dolliesmama · 02/01/2024 16:11

I've just called but got cut off. 23/8. Just seen someone on the thread saying they've waited 22 weeks. Thats just shy of half a year!! waiting for help that our children need. It's so depressing waiting when the situation is difficult enough when your child has needs.

mumoftwoxxx · 02/01/2024 16:31

@Willowblake it definitely feels that way doesn't it? And when you call alot but not all of them make you feel bad for even chasing it up😲... Your last point is so true!

I really had to go through it for anyone to listen to my concerns over my son, I knew since he was one he was different, we've only just got his ADHD diagnosis in 2023 after years of waiting to be seen by the paeds. He was seen at three/four but got discharged so easily and was told to see how he copes at school and re refer if needed, meanwhile I was left with zero support at home and we all massively suffered. When diagnosed his consultant said he's combined type ADHD is quite severe, he has so many autism traits so I'm expecting an autism diagnosis (when we finally get there...🙄) for him..He's also had motor/vocal tics consistently since he was 4, suffers with the sensory troubles etc, He's 7 now. I wished I was heard sooner. I've learnt so much though being in this journey and all we can do is advocate and fight for them ❤ x

@Linacre96 next time say your not 100% sure as you lost the letter. Its their job to answer queries!

HippyLea30 · 02/01/2024 17:47

Hi all.

I called today and my 8 year old has been awarded MRC & LRM I'm over the moon! Apparently the decision was made last Friday (29th)

Scan date 18.08.23
North Lincolnshire.

I spoke to a really helpful guy first thing this morning. He said mine had gone to a DM last Friday. He actually messaged the DM whilst I was on the phone to ask him when I'd get a decision and he said definitely today. He said mine was next to be done. Surprise surprise, no text. I've been so nervous checking my phone all day 🙄 I'm back to work tomorrow so can't call again now until half term.

RaychieBee · 02/01/2024 18:50

@Calypsomum you don't always get a text 🤦 you can wait and see if you get a backpayment but if you can't ring that's all you can do 🤦

I know, although he told me I'd definitely get a text 🙈 Just really wanted to know if it was accepted or not so I can let our therapist know if we can continue with her. It's all so stressful!

Geegee1506 · 02/01/2024 19:33

Called today did an MR on 21/11 sent more info in 30/11 only just been scanned on system 27/12! Spoke to the loveliest lady they had the date down wrong for when I did the MR so she changed it back for me and said I should hear by middle of the month at the latest 🤞🏼🤞🏼 asked for a text and she said not every DM has the text facility so to check my bank for a back payment as that usually comes before the letter does. Got everything crossed ... my original scan date for my claim was 18/07 feels like it's been going on forever. Good luck to everyone waiting on a decision xx

Willowblake · 02/01/2024 20:25

@mumoftwoxxx see its story's like yours that's just heart breaking...like what more can you do for anyone to listen and understand, your already doing everything whilst trying to hold a household together and get help for your babies.....heard it so many times just gets shrugged off but we as parents know when something is off...and with all this just feels like your back at square one with someone judging your child's needs all over again...I really believe there needs to be a better system! Really hope your son gets what he deserves soon x

Twinnies010920 · 02/01/2024 20:35

I called today for a little update ( as the first lot of forms went missing from july)
They recieved the 2nd lot of forms 28th september and got the first text 5th december and says was still making a decision.
The lady today was lovely and checked it over that they did have them as i was starting to worry. She said theyve been sent to the CM but not yet been handed to a DM and hopefully should be a little further forward if i call back end of january to see if theyve reached a DM 🙈 but she did say im probably looking at more 3rd week of feb for overall decision

Willowblake · 02/01/2024 21:19

@mumoftwoxxx bit of advice if it's allowed go through clinical partners if you can for your sons autism diagnosis....I had a call from cahms asking if I minded if it went through them as their waiting list is years....I had a full diagnosis for my daughter from start to finish in about 6 months. Couldn't fault a single thing, used all of cahms resources just a much speedier and less stressful process. This stuff is hard and no one really warns you about potentially having a child with additional needs and it throws you a bit but we as woman are made of strong stuff and we make it happen 🙂 x

Willowblake · 02/01/2024 21:49

@Dolliesmama exactly this! Its already hard enough why do they insist on making harder for us all?! Like being cut off the phone for example...you finally get a free chance to get an update and nope x

TRMummy · 02/01/2024 22:39

Hello,

iust wondered if anyone had any experience of current carers allowance wait times. Applied 25/11. Thank you 😌

mumoftwoxxx · 02/01/2024 23:28

I'm also waiting on a referral for myself...lol he's taught me so much and doesn't even no bless him! Hope we hear soon I will update x

Hey guys I need advice,my ds is getting out of control he's violent, sleeps 2/3.hours per night max I can't take him out with out real bad kick offs lives off the same 4 foods the list is endless.
Teachers say he's fine in school although he's starts the day with special behaviour Teacher to settle, the doctor referred me twice,I ask school to refer as he's running boiling baths in early hours he's a danger to him self.. the school keeps referring to social services I'm fuming as then adha people cancel the docs referral due to social services trying to help they r useless, as they think his behaviour is due to dv I left his dad when my son was months old..he is 5 now I need help 😢
Long winded lol plus late as ds up

Linacre96 · 03/01/2024 09:04

Good luck to anyone ringing today

RaychieBee · 03/01/2024 09:07

Scan date 21/08
Just rang to be told it's still not on a desk 🙃😂 it's in the holding queue still. I did ask how come it's taking so long and she said it was done in date order. I said well September's are getting decisions. She said the case holder that has my claim is still on the beginning of August claims so it goes in date order so I'm looking at another 4 weeks 😂😓

Linacre96 · 03/01/2024 09:09

@RaychieBee oh my sounds like she’s very behind 😬 they should get other dm to help out that are infront
