@Nanto4 ooh thank you for the update. I was going to ring but youngest has her jabs today and I just don't have the time to be on hold 🤣 I hope we get somewhere this week. fingers crossed for us all 🤞🏼

Laurahansom28 · 02/01/2024 09:38

On hold now to DLA. Scan date 6/9. I'll update once I get through, been on hold for 32 mins 🤦‍♀️🤣

2010crazyboymum · 02/01/2024 09:41

I was hold 2.5hrs.. I managed to leave my house and bus it to the launderette and back 🤣 plus sorting out the washing etc.

Keddie · 02/01/2024 09:47

@Jneill2021 No news at my end going to try and call in today x

HKiSm · 02/01/2024 09:50

I phoned this morning and he said it isn’t even with a DM yet. Even though I was told before Christmas I’d have a decision between Christmas & New Year. It is so deflating, every day am just waiting for a decision.
scan date - 24/08

Anonymousks1984 · 02/01/2024 09:53

@Jneill2021 still waiting for MR from 25th November. Called this morning and still 8 weeks wait

Jneill2021 · 02/01/2024 09:56

@Keddie fingers crossed fir you let me no how you get on xx

RaychieBee · 02/01/2024 09:56

@HKiSm yeah I'm 21/08 and I called and was told it would be on a desk by Friday 22nd and then I rang on 28th and told me would be another 2/3 weeks before it was on a desk as the DM was still working through beginning of August claims

Jneill2021 · 02/01/2024 09:57

@Anonymousks1984 there just really hit and miss as I've seen a few with roughly same date already have a decision x

Laurahansom28 · 02/01/2024 10:13

Well that was a waste of time. I got told "did you not hear the message at the beginning telling you not to call if you've not been waiting 20 weeks or more" very rude lady! So I'm still non the wiser on where our claim is upto. 17 weeks tomorrow for us.

KeepGoingThomas · 02/01/2024 10:17

@Daniellemcm You don’t need to use the LA’s EHCNA application form if you don’t want to. IPSEA’s model letter is sufficient.

You will need an EHCP for special schools, but EHCPs are based on needs, not diagnosis. Some autism special schools require a formal diagnosis, but not all.

Funding in nursery isn’t based on diagnosis. They can apply for early years inclusion funding without a diagnosis. I don’t know how old DS is, but some areas it is available at 2, but in other areas it isn’t available until 3.

Ilovemychildren123 · 02/01/2024 10:49

@Jneill2021 I am waiting MR from 23rd November phoned last week and still wasn’t with DM x

Mumof6boys1girl · 02/01/2024 10:59

I'm going to wait until Thursday to call scan date 17/08 making it 20 weeks thursday

Homesweethome93 · 02/01/2024 11:26

I’m the same scan date 🤞

Linacre96 · 02/01/2024 12:46

I’ve seen some saying they’ve said between 17-18 weeks then another it’s 19 weeks from scan date 😐 I’ll be 19 weeks next week she said was going to put it down for me to get a text if awarded now not sure what to do🤷‍♀️ I was going to ring next week when children are back at school

Claudb98 · 02/01/2024 13:15

Hi all happy new year

scan date 18/10 for a change of circumstances so I’m expecting to be waiting until March time does this seem right ? Anyone have any success stories with change of circumstances

thankyou

flea101 · 02/01/2024 13:59

Hello, my scan date was 15/08 for change of circumstances. Anyone any ideas on when it will be looked at? Would call but son is not in school and I can't speak on the phone he goes nuts.

Homesweethome93 · 02/01/2024 14:16

Hello mine is 17/08 was told end of February will be looked at but I’ve also sent a renewal in as it runs out beginning of feb,got told it will definitely be looked at before the beginning of feb and then called on 27th and was told they are taking 14 weeks for renewal.
you get told alsorts when you call think they just tell you what ever they want tbh.

Willowblake · 02/01/2024 14:16

Hi all....scan date 1/8, 22 weeks today. Just got off the phone to be told its still with a decision maker....apparently been with one for a month now....the wait is doing me in now 😅 anyone else feeling the strain from all this? X

mumoftwoxxx · 02/01/2024 14:27

@Willowblake wow that is a joke and over the 20wks (or 15 🙄) they are saying! Crazy, hope you complained, I get there's a backlog but that takes the biscuit x

2010crazyboymum · 02/01/2024 14:33

@RaychieBee

21/08
Called today on hold for 1hr 45m. Lovely woman answered.
Mine was given to a DM on the 29th..
Says to call back end of the week if not heard by then.
She says my claim has no current indication of enquiries being made to verify anything so fingers crossed should be a quick turn around.

Willowblake · 02/01/2024 14:33

@mumoftwoxxx nah I didn't, I was instantly drained of all energy when she said its still with a decision maker...just completely defeated. Not gonna bother calling anymore its doing my head in too much ha...I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks it's a joke at this point though! How long have you been waiting now? Hoping its not too much longer for us all! X

mumoftwoxxx · 02/01/2024 14:44

@Willowblake I totally understand, the whole process is draining 😣 if I was you though I'd be calling again and again that's such a joke considering September dates have had answers already.. But I get why you don't want to call back lol I'm at 19 weeks on thursday, scan date 24/8.. I last spoke to them on the 29th December and was told I wasn't even with a DM at that point🙄 told me to call back in two weeks time x

OP posts:
Willowblake · 02/01/2024 14:52

@mumoftwoxxx September dates already?! I just don't understand how the system works at all ha! Have we just been forgotten about at this point ha! 19 weeks is too long to wait especially after we were all told 15 weeks like you said. The thing that gets me the most is that we're all mums and dad's to children with additional needs, its already hard enough without the added stresses of waiting 5 months for someone who has never met our children to decide if they qualify....its madness

flea101 · 02/01/2024 14:54

Have just tried to call, got cut off twice lines must be full! Scan date 15/8 change of circumstances.
