@EarlofShrewsbury when I rang it depends on who's pile your in apparently. As some go faster than others. I'm 21/08. I was told another 4/5 weeks. But then I've also seen posts where people have rang in the morning to be told there's wasn't on a desk and 3/4hours later they've received a text so it's literally luck of the draw 😂

mumtumok · 30/12/2023 16:35

Really hope all you August lot get your decisions soon but I’m also really hoping I will be one of those random September dates too 😂 28/09

Babzie · 30/12/2023 16:49

Still sat here have been since forum 20 🙈🙈
Scan date 28/8 heard nothing as of yet 2 texts last one in November time. Becoming really really inpatient now as well and annoyed tbf to see scan dates over mine get decisions just my luck to be sent to the slow one 🙈 i think its the unknowing that annoying me the most and the wait is just out this world and so wrong feel for everyone who is having to battle this wait including myself x

EarlofShrewsbury · 30/12/2023 16:56

It's like waiting to find out if you've passed an exam... we know are kids are entitled.. its just a case of how well we did the forms.

RaychieBee · 30/12/2023 17:18

I'm not ringing now for another 2 weeks. Can't be bothered spending ages getting through to be told the same thing but in a different way 😂 because I know if it's declined an MR is taking 10/12 weeks 😭

LM15 · 30/12/2023 11:45

18/08, still not heard anything. Not phoned up but if I haven’t heard by next Friday (20 weeks) then I’ll be phoning!

Same scan date as me x

Glad I’m not the only one 🙈 So annoying seeing people who are nearly a month after us getting decisions. Doesn’t seem fair at all x

Ash894 · 30/12/2023 19:06

I rang last Thursday and the lady said that the time they are taking has come down to 17 weeks, I was 17 weeks the day after so then she said give it till 18. I rang yesterday and was told its not on a desk and to wait another 2 or 3 weeks. It was summer when I first rang up for the forms. that seems like a life time ago 😂

2010crazyboymum · 30/12/2023 19:12

@Ash894 they honestly have noo idea do they. Its ridiculous.

Doesn’t it just! July 17th I rang up for the forms. Summer holidays hadn’t even started!

logangracie93 · 30/12/2023 20:02

@Ash894 17 weeks? yeh take that with a pinch of salt 🙄. I'm 20 weeks on the 1st and still not heard a thing. I rang up at 17 weeks and was told I'd get a decision between Christmas and New Year... i havent had a decision between Christmas and New Year at all. scanned on the 14/8. I've had enough of it all now 🤯

Siobhangrace25 · 30/12/2023 20:13

im the 27th of September the wait is unreal!

StrawberryDaqx · 30/12/2023 20:23

Just wanted to pass on what I have heard - see if it helps anyone. Apparently if you've been quoted however many weeks on letters, if that time has passed you can ask to make a complaint on the phone, it should be escalated and the decision makers usually process the complaint claims there and then. Let us know how you get on if you do it and if it sped up getting a decision x

I've heard similar.

I wouldn't actually do this though as although the wait is horrible, I wouldn't want to be put in front of someone who's been waiting longer. Doesn't seem fair somehow.

StrawberryDaqx · 30/12/2023 21:26

I understand what your saying. I guess wait it out until your decision is made in that case, they aren't really being made in date order at this point. I hope you get good news soon

Hello everyone, some advice please. I sent my 2yr old daughter’s DLA form off with just a referral for the Peads to assess her for ASD. Since sending the form she has had a referral from the Peads to see a Neurologist, speech and language, she also has appointment on 3rd Jan for Genetic testing to see if there any mutations in her DNA also a Plasma blood test to check for lead poisoning. She has been accepted by the development delay team and also has a self harming method that she started a couple of days after sending off the DLA form. This has not been included in my claim form as it has all happened since. My question is, should i write to DLA and update them with the above or should i just wait it out and hopefully have a decision soon. My Scan date is 27/9. Im worried if i send additional information in now at this stage it might delay it even further. What would you guys do please xx

Motherland2624 · 30/12/2023 22:57

That’s my scan date and I heard yesterday

RaychieBee · 30/12/2023 23:15

Only reason why I've not complained is because I don't want it escalating and being sent to someone that the declines it just to be petty 😂

My scan date is the same as yours, and I've sent off 3 times with extra evidence.
