Anyone from 25/08 or around then heard anything?

23/08 here and I haven’t heard anything either. Hoping it will be next week.

Scan Date 01-09-2023

Anyone with the same scan Date?

Hopefully we hear over the next couple of weeks currently on the 17th week. I've read in previous comments it's taking around 18 Weeks does anyone no if this is still the case.
Also does everyone get a message if you have been accepted or declined.
Thankyou

It seems to be anywhere between 17 and 21 weeks. I’m currently at 18+3 weeks and it’s still not with a DM yet. Could be any time now really but potentially I could still have another 2 weeks of waiting left 🤦🏼‍♀️.

I don’t think everyone receives the text messages. I think it all depends on which DM has looked at the claim. Quite a few people haven’t found out the decision until they have rang up and some people have seen back payments enter their bank accounts before they knew it had been awarded.

Holly1991 · 30/12/2023 09:56

Thankyou so much for the information 😊 really hope you get your decision soon. I may call them Thursday when I've hit 18 weeks for an update

RaychieBee · 30/12/2023 10:18

@Holly1991 im 21/08 and been told another 2/3 weeks before it hits a desk and another 2 for a decision. I'm at 19weeks on Monday.
They say they're aiming for decisions by 19weeks.
You don't always get a text. Some people are waking up to back pay as finding out they've been awarded as letters take 2/3 weeks to arrive.

Mamatoooo4 · 30/12/2023 11:16

Im the same scan date as you. Ridiculous how long it is taking. Im not holding any hope of being successful however i would just rather know either way. I've not recieved any texts at all. Rang the thursday before Christmas and was just told it was waiting to go to a dm

LM15 · 30/12/2023 11:45

18/08, still not heard anything. Not phoned up but if I haven’t heard by next Friday (20 weeks) then I’ll be phoning!

RaychieBee · 30/12/2023 11:52

@Mamatoooo4 yeah I phoned on the Wednesday before Christmas and told it would be on a desk by Friday but obvs it's not 😂

RaychieBee · 30/12/2023 13:16

Just seen a scan date of 13/09 🙄 it's not fair 😂 that's nearly a month after half the people's scan dates in here 🙄

mumoftwoxxx · 30/12/2023 13:46

Wow that is so frustrating, are they working today does anybody know? I suppose their not too and obvs monday. Hope they get through august scan dates asap now it's an actual joke.

@RaychieBee why are the comments off on that group its super annoying! Even ones with questions coming through are comments off.

Liddyj · 30/12/2023 13:59

Does anyone know if there’s a Facebook group about waiting times I’m not sure of my scan date think we’re beginning of September x

KeepGoingThomas · 30/12/2023 14:05

Momonamission91 · 30/12/2023 03:12

Hi, I’m in a similar position. My nine year old only does three hours per day atm. Can you tell me how you accessed home tutoring?

Edited

Email the Director of Children’s Services requesting provision under s19 of the Education Act 1996. If the LA refuse, delay or ignore you post on the SN boards and you will be advised what to do next. Also request an EHCNA - on their website IPSEA has a model letter you can use.

2010crazyboymum · 30/12/2023 14:16

@Liddyj
There's a couple of dla pages.. but one 99% approves post but doesn't allow comments.. and another is slow to approve posts. This is faster and more active.

RaychieBee · 30/12/2023 14:45

@2010crazyboymum oh I know like why turn comments off 😂 we need answers to questions 😂 you'd think they'd give the rest of the August dates to other decision makers before they start on the September's 🙄

RaychieBee · 30/12/2023 14:47

@Liddyj you'll have a letter with the date that it was scanned onto the system with. You can also phone and ask when it was scanned.
Waiting times are weird because people in August are still waiting but people in September are being given decisions. They say hope to have a decision by 20weeks

2010crazyboymum · 30/12/2023 15:11

@RaychieBee I'm so glad I stumbled across this forum.. I hadnt used mums net since my boy was a baby.. he's now 13!
But there's people that respond and we get somewhere! This waiting is realllllly anxiety driven now like come on now!.
We're stuck on the same pile somewhere gathering dust.

RaychieBee · 30/12/2023 15:22

@2010crazyboymum ive never used mumsnet till now. I just put in Google dla waiting times and this popped up 😂

EarlofShrewsbury · 30/12/2023 15:34

The person in FB who said they were awarded with a scan date of 13/09 posted anonymously and turned off comments for their post.

I'm skeptical that it is a truthful post tbh.

2010crazyboymum · 30/12/2023 15:55

@EarlofShrewsbury that group admins always turn comments off

Before a single comment is made?

I don't see any other posts with comments turned off unless the posts have lots and lots of comments.

2010crazyboymum · 30/12/2023 16:17

@EarlofShrewsbury wouldn't surprise me

There is another group and admins don't let comments on many posts at all!

RaychieBee · 30/12/2023 16:17

@EarlofShrewsbury alot of posts that say they've been awarded have had comments turned off before it's been approved. There's been about 10 posts with scan dates of September. A couple asking when they will get the back pay with it being christmas/new year

Ah OK, I couldn't see those.

My scan date is 4/9 and I'm getting twitchy now.
