@Jneill2021 have you heard anything yet x

KeepGoingThomas · 29/12/2023 17:47

@Mountainviewse a form returned after the date given will still be accepted. However, if awarded, unless there is a legitimate reason it may only be backdated to the date they received the form rather than the date you called.

Thanks. Is it discretionary then?

Jneill2021 · 29/12/2023 18:04

@Luevzamum not yet the man I spoke to said ring 1st week of Jan crossing my fingers they change there mind, so happy for your little one I'm really glad they changed there mind xx

KeepGoingThomas · 29/12/2023 18:05

@Mountainviewse it is discretionary in the sense if the form is late without legitimate reason it doesn’t have to be backdated to the date you called only from the date it was received. But accepting the form at all isn’t discretionary.

Kezzia87 · 29/12/2023 18:50

@PurplePuxie I’m still waiting, scan date 11/08, that’s 20 weeks today, I have found out my sons claim is clerical though, which I’m told is 21 weeks, such a stressful wait! I don’t think I’ve spelt properly in weeks

funinthesun19 · 29/12/2023 19:08

When do they re open after new year? 2nd or 3rd?

I've just got a txt to say decision has been made but I've no idea if it's granted or declined. Anyone had similar txt and it's been positive outcome

Kezzia87 · 29/12/2023 19:34

@funinthesun19 when I was on the phone last Friday a man said he’ll ring or text me on the 2nd (doubtful lol) so I assume that’s when they re-open

Mumoflittlegirlepilepsy · 29/12/2023 19:35

Hi everyone my daughter was awarded on 5th dec back pay 7th dec.

Linacre96 · 29/12/2023 19:39

My son is 2 he’s non verbal, falls over a lot, still have to feed him as unable to feed himself sometimes, he’s been referred to speech therapist, physiotherapist and community paediatrician.. nursery sent in a letter basically saying his development is for a 1 year old they have to give him more help above universal level not sure what that means and my health visitor sent a letter aswell saying what she’s referring him for I dress him, bath him, he sleeps in a cot, he falls over a lot, I feed him I’m waiting on a decision but just thinking do you think I would get declined?

Liddyj · 29/12/2023 19:40

what was your scan date?

Mumoflittlegirlepilepsy · 29/12/2023 19:44

Unfortunately it seems as though everyone on these threads who have received that wording have been declined.

Kezzia87 · 29/12/2023 20:51

@2010crazyboymum from what I’ve been reading it means it’s all done by hand instead of computer because I don’t claim child benefit for him it’s not as straight forward to get his NI number so his reference number is a clerical one instead

Terrie1100 · 29/12/2023 20:56

Does anyone know with UC, when would I receive backpay for child disability element? I received a letter on my journal a few days after I informed them about my little ones award with dla, stating decision maker had reviewed and my uc will be adjusted from the date of change. I received the letter on my journal last week on the 22nd December.

Luevzamum · 29/12/2023 21:04

Hi, I’m in a similar position. My nine year old only does three hours per day atm. Can you tell me how you accessed home tutoring?

Yes, it's likely to be your next monthly payment, early. (Lile I got my tax credits payment yesterday instead of Monday as Monday is a Bank Holiday)

Ash894 · 30/12/2023 09:06

Anyone from 25/08 or around then heard anything?
