@Paige36 well done 🥰
@Linacre96 gives you hope 😂 I have same scan date but told another 3 weeks minimum 😭😓😂

Linacre96 · 29/12/2023 12:57

@RaychieBee i got told by someone who works for pip that they telling everyone it’s in holding que n be few more weeks to stop people ringing maybe same for DLA as it is bit mad how some from mid August not done then some awarded in September 😐🤣think ima leave it and ring 8/9th January

RaychieBee · 29/12/2023 13:07

@Linacre96 i questioned it today as I was told 2 weeks ago it would be on a desk that week and it's still not and that I've seen people in September having decisions and mines in August. She said some workers work overtime, longer hours and are faster than others and it's basically luck of the draw on who your case has been assigned too and how fast they work. She said mine is definitely not on a desk as the case worker is still at the beginning of August and that I'm looking at it being 2/3 weeks before it hits the desk and another 2 weeks for a decision. That takes us into February and would be 23/24 weeks 😂

Wow, I can't believe that's how it works. So if yours is assigned to a Case worker who is off for a month or who is really behind, you'll just have to wait rather than another CW picking up the slack?! That's crazy 🤪

RaychieBee · 29/12/2023 13:19

@Calypsomum i have no idea 😂 hadn't thought about that 😂
Honestly wouldn't surprise me that's why they're so behind 🤦
She also said that people's claims were hitting desks by 17 weeks and a decision by 19/20weeks and I questioned that as I'm nearly at 19weeks and not hit a desk and she was like ohh. That's when she tiptapped on her computer and said that the case manager was still doing claims from the beginning of August and about overtime ect. Said my claim should hopefully hit a desk by 21weeks.

2010crazyboymum · 29/12/2023 13:20

@RaychieBee it's stressful that's for sure. Constantly second guessing if you wrote enough, sent enough etc

Linacre96 · 29/12/2023 13:20

I guess I’m in that luck of pile then cause I got told it’s in a holding que 🤣🤷‍♀️ mines 1/09 so I’ll probably be updating in February

As an ex government manager, I don't think that would be the case. If someone is off sick for say, 4 or 5 days, their work might just be left. However, if they handed in a sick note for a month, you would absolutely have to (as a manager) redistribute their work.

What I found as a manager was that when I redistributed work, often the highly experienced staff would power through those additional cases (and then get allocated more) This was far more likely to account for the fact that some later cases appeared to be picked up first.

I hope that makes sense. It's still rubbish when we are all waiting. However, I think it's important to remember that they say roughly 18 to 20 weeks and that still seems to be the case. (Some lucky and hearing with a scan date of 5/9 for example, and some till waiting from 21/8)

If it ever got to the point where folk were being awarded months before others, then that would be very wrong. As it is, it's simply not that easy to have everyone working at exactly the same pace.

Their telephone manner and attitude is a different matter entirely, though. They should absolutely be hauled over the coals for that!!

RaychieBee · 29/12/2023 13:29

@RainbowZebraWarrior Every person I've spoken too has been nothing but nice over the phone but I've also managed to get through first thing in the morning 😂
I've seen a scan date of 11th September which is 3 weeks after my scan date. It's disheartening being told another 6week wait. On the phone is does say upto 20weeks for a decision and in 9 days I'll be at 20weeks. Think if the case worker that's got mine is 3/4 weeks behind everyone else, their workload should be distrubuted 😂

I had the exact same conversation with them yesterday. She said 17 weeks and I said but I'm 19 weeks now and she wasn't sure why so just blamed Christmas 🤔

Thank you, that's reassuring 🙂

Emma. I've not spoken to Angela yet... She must be the only one. Think I've spoken to most of them now!

RaychieBee · 29/12/2023 13:50

Ellmay1820 · 29/12/2023 14:22

126t · 29/12/2023 14:35

Homesweethome93 I sent coc in September they told me 28 weeks and my renewal is up October 24 they said I might not have to do a renewal depending on the coc date it is seen

82cem · 29/12/2023 14:59

My scan date was July 12th and found out in November it had been declined, I put a MR in with extra evidence etc and it was signed for on the 11th December but I haven't actually heard anything from them, do they send texts/letters still as they would with the original claim? I've been looking for how long a MR could possibly take but not really finding anything. Fingers crossed the decline is overturned with the MR.x

Mountainviewse · 29/12/2023 15:29

Do they accept late application forms?

PurplePuxie · 29/12/2023 15:32

Glad to see there have been a number of new awards -well done to all.

just wanting to gauge - who is still waiting with first half Aug scan dates?

logangracie93 · 29/12/2023 16:38

@PurplePuxie I'm 14/8 still waiting 🤯 I rang at 17 weeks bang on and was told a decision would be made between Christmas and New Year..... still nothing. its so frustrating all this, ive really had enough of it all now 😫

RaychieBee · 29/12/2023 16:51

@logangracie93 its probably in the really slow case managers pile 😂😭

Dolliesmama · 29/12/2023 17:02

When I rang the other week they told me itd be done between christmas and New year and at the very latest the first week in January scan 23/8, text 31st Oct, 21st Nov. Not ringing again just waiting it out i do have extra evidence as there's been more appointments meetings with school etc but I haven't sent it and its too close to a decision now to send in as I only recently got it so if I have to do an m.r I'll send it for that.

logangracie93 · 29/12/2023 17:20

@RaychieBee either that or it's a big fat decline 😭😂 I'm so fed up of it now just tell me and for the love of god let me move on with my life 😂😂

Jneill2021 · 29/12/2023 17:24
