Thankyou, my letter just says we are sorry we have not given a decision, it could take upto 15 weeks.
I don't know what to do? Can't ever get through on phone x

@Anne92 my 2nd letter said that and 1st had the scan date. I have only received 1 txt on the 21st November so you definitely more probably in the august dates than sept. From what it looks on here everyone gets told different anyway when they ring for how long it’s taking etc, it’s a very long and draining process x

@MummytoJacob14 there is the disabled child element of UC which is £146.31 for LRC or MRC and £456.89 for HRC. Then there is the carers element which is £185.86 for MRC or HRC. So once you know what rate you have been awarded you will know what should be added to your UC statement. Hope that helps xx

@Loumumoftwo thank you so much for taking the time to reply! I can't call to find out rates and was only awarded today so will await payment and should be able to work out rate as I hear letters are taking a couple of weeks :)

How close are we with dates does anyone know my scan date is 11/8 it feels like it’s been longer don’t want to call up as when I did last week had a rude lady who said it could be middle of January before I hear anything

Plus one 18/08 was awarded and some 14/08 was told in holding queue for dm x

@Toni1228 okay thankyou for helping 😊 I really do hope we find out before Christmas, I don't want to spend it anxious.

I work for DWP, you need to report your Childs DLA award to UC from the date if the award, not the date of the letter, to do this, go to your UC account, report a change of circumstances, then children and other people who live with you.

Once you've done this, if the award is for high or middle care, you can claim the UC caring element, to do this, again, report a change of circumstances, then caring. Report that you're caring from the date of the DLA award, then go to your UC journal and ask for the child disability and caring elements to be backdated.

This will need a Decision Maker to consider backdating, it will be allowed as you couldn't report any sooner.

@Sammumof2 my scan date’s the same 11/08 and when I rang on Tuesday I was told to expect a decision in the next few days.

My scan date is 28.09 and first message on the 5.12. Had also 2 letters and sent extra evidence afterwards. Called to check have they received and they did. Been told waiting 20 weeks and I'm so far ahead, been told to call back in February 😑

I Sent extra evidence that was signed for by recorded deliver on the 27th of November, called today and she said it still hasn't been scanned in. What should I do? I'm assuming they've lost it. The lady wasn't very helpful, just said it may get scanned in soon, but this has been so long? This process is so stressful. Xox

I sent extra stuff in on the 21st November wasn't scanned in yesterday so I sent it again special delivery called today and it was scanned in.Its si stressful and ridiculous how we have to spend loads on sending stuff in x

MR done over phone 23/11 told today they are taking 2.5/3 weeks but 3 weeks tomorrow and still not with DM fingers crossed for a decision soon

@Ilovemychildren123 hi I’m sure they did mine on the phone on the 23rd nov too as I received a letter a few days later saying that I’ve asked for a MR then a few days after that I had a letter saying the reason they declined, which alls it said was due to a medical report… which was dated before the MR letter I received after the phone call ,so I’ve got no actual reason as to why they declined but in the MR letter it said you need to send a copy of the decline letter with any more evidence I sent so I had to wait for that letter to come first anyway… hope u understand what I mean!!!😵‍💫! Let me know how u go on.x

I woke up to money in the bank, my boy has been awarded. No text or letter. I honestly didn't think it would happen. I'm crying now.

Scan date 22/8....day my Father in Law passes

I pray that you all get what you deserve for your children. No one knows our struggles or fully understands what it's like to constantly fight for our children. Many nights I come to bed and cry.

@Luevzamum i called yesterday and they said they are taking 3 weeks I’m 3 weeks today but she said it hasn’t gone to a DM yet so I’ll leave it until Wednesday next week if not heard anything I’ll call again. Let me know how you go xx

@Lauren2121 morning hun, wanted to let you know I woke up this morning and my son has been awarded I assume as I have a backpay amount in my bank. I'm so happy 😊, I didn't receive a text or a letter or anything so will have to ring to find out care or work it out and wait for letter to confirm I have been awarded. Wanted to let you know as your same scan date as me, hopefully if you haven't yet you hear in the next few days as they must be in August now fingers crossed for you hun. Let me know how you get on x
