@Looloo12332 I’m on hold to them now but can only stay on until 9:30, if yours is with cm then mine might be too🤞🏼so I might leave it and phone Monday if I haven’t heard anything xx

Just called and my 2 year old daughter was awarded MRC for 2 years.

Scan date: 11/08.
Went to the DM: 08/08 (exactly 17 weeks) and a decision was made yesterday on 13/08.
The amount has been backdated to 21/07.

First text: 16/10
Second text: 07/11.

So will I,I did ask if they can make a note to ask for a text when the decision had been made I think my dd will get a decline and I will do Mr I seel sick 😫 a single person who has never met my dd makes a decision that could improve her life dramatically xx

My dd is in year 2 at school she can't read or write not evan her own name today she's gone without her hair brushed as she was so overwhelmed today about what to wear as the most basic decision makes her feel overwhelmed and she gets so upset.Her teacher is amazing and takes on ky told well she is at school she gives her cuddles ect.She is down the ADHD pathway she deserves this money all the children in here does xx

@Looloo12332 I have a feeling mine will be a decline too😞 so nervous. I’ll be gutted if we get declined because the money would make such a difference to his life. I’d definitely do a mr but thinking about going through it again makes me feel so stressed xx

@Looloo12332 My DS has suspected asd. No diagnosis yet but been told to expect one when he gets a bit older as he’s only 2 (will be 3 in feb) No speech, no understanding. It’s incredibly hard. Can’t afford to send him to nursery which makes me feel so awful as he really needs to be in one for his sake. Thinking about the difference it would make to him makes this whole process even more nerve wracking xx

@Looloo12332 I'm having to email the drs today about my kiddo who had a fall late last night. Possible concussion.
If these dms lived in our shoes they'd have a bit more compassion.

Thing is they dint see what we go through or what out kids go through its not fair I hope all out kids get what is deserved x

I’m scared they’ll think the way he is is typical of a 2 year old but it really isn’t. I have another DS and some family and friends with children a similar age and they are nothing like DS. Even the health visitor suggested to apply x

Hi everyone i am new here, im looking to see what the expected wait time for a decision on DLA. I had no idea that my children could be entitled to DLA without a diagnosis, my eldest is 12 and is still on the waiting list for the BeeU pathway for Autism assessment we have been waiting over 2 years now, also my 2yr old daughter is currently going through the process of having The first initial assessment with the Peads, genetic testing etc for the ASD. I sent of 2 claims for DLA one for my daughter they received it on the 27th Sep 23 and my sons they received 27th October 23… After reading some of the posts on this thread im presuming i can expect to still be waiting after the new year now 😔

I rang for an update this morning 25/08 told me not to expect a decision to at least beginning of feb because they have to work in date order, clearly not true have seen dates close to and after my date, fully expecting a decline but just want to know either way so can stop thinking about it, good luck to everyone waiting

The whole process is so overwhelming and stressful for us parents. Filling out the form is very hard then on top of that all this waiting and wondering are we successful? Will they decline? Its soooo stressful!

From 15w the wait is soo stressful! I'm currently w16 (scan 21/8) I never even thought about dla until recently until I applied. Dla could improve his chances soo much.

I sent some information for my MR on the 30/11 I've rang today and they've said they haven't received it and that I should resend it to a different address ? Has anyone else had this problem? I sent it to the address on the letter they sent with the decision on... do you think they could have received it and it just hasn't been scanned on? It's been 2 weeks since I sent it, I'm just not sure whether it's likely they will find it. I wrote a 3 page letter and sent further info just seems long winded if it's likely they will find the first one I sent? Really don't know what to do😩

28/8 still waiting paying attention to this not holding much hope till end of jan but I have not had a 3rd text, the wait is hideous deffo need something in place to make this process alot more smoother and faster for parents.
Anyone else have the same date? X

Mine is 3 days before yours no 3rd text either told me at least 1st week of February
