funinthesun19 · 19/12/2023 19:58

Mum2onebeauifulgirl · 19/12/2023 20:10

RaychieBee · 19/12/2023 20:31

@Mum2onebeauifulgirl you can apply for family fund but deffo fill in everything like you would the DLA form. I had a decline but sent an email back with an appeal stating that my son meets 5 out of the 7 criteria they need to accept a claim with reasons one each. Had a phone call 2 days later and 2 days later have been accepted. You can apply for things like kitchen appliances, tablets, sofas ect.

Ash894 · 19/12/2023 20:36

Hi @zoedavis123 Thanks for letting me know. I rang today I caved haha. She told me that they don't go to a DMs desk until its 18 weeks and that mine isn't even close basically and to ring back in January 🙄xx

cocoapple · 19/12/2023 20:45

@funinthesun19 I was awarded at 17 weeks and 3 days x

Shauna12 · 19/12/2023 20:46

@Ash894 I was told that it’s taking 20 weeks mine is 18 weeks on Thursday and she said mid January at least for me bc they are off from Friday what is your scan date?

Ash894 · 19/12/2023 20:50

@Shauna12 Hi I'm 25/08 I think I'm 18 weeks next Friday. I rang as I've noticed a few people after me had been awarded but no luck for me. Just need to try and switch off now it becomes quite obessive this 😂x

Shauna12 · 19/12/2023 21:22

@Ash894 me too, it’s horrible especially when you see people being awarded after you, it’s killing me😂x

Ash894 · 19/12/2023 22:22

@Shauna12 wonder how long they have off for Christmas. Hopefully you will hear in the next few days. I think I will definitely be January x

Toni1228 · 19/12/2023 22:34

@Ash894 when I spoke to someone the other day about sending more information, I asked and he said they only off 25th, 26th and 1st so hopefully it won’t effect to much x

Ash894 · 20/12/2023 03:12

@Toni1228 Oh really, that's good then. I thought they might of had longer than that so that's better for us lot
Thank you x

mummaofasdson · 20/12/2023 07:33

hi, don't know if anyone can help at all, just curious how long after a dla decision did people recieve their back pay?

we had our decision on Monday and just wondering when we might see the backpay

Kezildon · 20/12/2023 08:05

Applied for my oldest (already have 2 in receipt of DLA) didn’t send any evidence really (just proof of referral for both autism and ADHD assessments) because despite being under CAMHS for a year they haven’t issued a single report. She masks in school so no point asking them.

Been following this thread for weeks, but it’s getting closer to decision time so thought I’d post.

scan date 04/09
1st text 7/11
2nd text 28/11
3rd text 11/12

Shauna12 · 20/12/2023 08:15

@Ash894 they are only off 4 days I think mine will be January too, let’s just enjoy Christmas and hope for the best good luck!!

funinthesun19 · 20/12/2023 09:27

cocoapple · 19/12/2023 20:45

@funinthesun19 I was awarded at 17 weeks and 3 days x

That fills me with some hope then lol.
17 weeks today. I so hope I get an answer by Friday. Are they working this Saturday?

Theola · 20/12/2023 09:35

Been lurking for a while but wanted to update as you’ve all been a lifeline over the last few weeks! Woke up to backdated pay in the bank (no text or letter yet). My DD has been awarded for HRC and LRM.

Scan date: 11/08

Calypsomum · 20/12/2023 09:52

I just spoke to them on the phone. I'm 17, almost 18 weeks too. She said they are working on 17 weeks for it to go to a case manager and all of the ones who are 17 weeks should be going over to a CM by the end of this week. Then its up to 3 weeks for a decision 😔

Calypsomum · 20/12/2023 10:03

Anyone else scan date 18/8? X
