Continuing on from part 23 as it was getting full

ive not posted on here before and have been reading through the thread, it helps a lot thanks.

my form was scanned on 10/08 and I’ve not heard nothing back, last text was the 7/11 has anyone got similar dates, it’s driving me mad thinking about it all day 😩

@Ginandtonic2 I heard back today scan date 14/8 have you tried ringing them ... mine went to cm yesterday and he rang me today

I phoned them on Wednesday morning and they told me it could be another couple of weeks because they’re working at 20
weeks now. I’ll phone them again on Monday morning surely they have some kind of update by now 😩

@Ginandtonic2 I think it all depends who you get on phone ... I rang this morning and they said it was with a case manager and I'd hear by next Friday... and then about 3oclock today they rang me ... I havent recieved a text yet he said he would text me when they reached a decision but im gonna ring Monday anyway ..

When will they stop for the Christmas break? Really was hoping I'd hear before.. Fingers crossed anyway 🙈I called on the 12th and I'm sure she said it was in a holding que (is that for a dm/cm?) My scan date is 24/8 I can't seem to switch off thinking about it argh. Anyone else still waiting with the same date?🙂

just need a bit of advice please guys. Is the disabled child element the same as carers allowance? I’m expecting to hopefully receive the higher rate care component as my baby is currently on oxygen day and night. But I’m on lcwra on universal credit at the moment and I know you can’t claim carers allowance at the same time as claiming lcwra as they just give you the higher award.

@Nadcat there is disabled child element and carers element of uc and both are different to carers allowance. You get £146.31 for disabled child on LRC or MRC and you get £456.89 for HRC. You also get carers element of £185.86 if you receive MRC or HRC. Hope this helps x

Edit. Just re read your message.. I believe you can only get the higher of the two between lcwra and carers element you don’t get both

I've never posted before, but have been following for quite some time.

Scan date 9/8, had a missed call from Dm on Tuesday. Managed to get through on Wednesday morning to say I can't answer phone at work, due to safeguarding reasons, but could after 4pm.
Finally got through yesterday afternoon, they said a decision had been made, but no award of benefit given. I took this as a decline, and asked on what grounds and he just said letter will arrive shortly 😔

He didnt say I'd been declined for my son, Or give me any more information other than no award of benifit given.

Has anyone else had this and its been a positive outcome, as in decision made, and award not on system?

I'm fully expecting it to be a decline, but Don't think I have it in me to fight and do an MR.

Sorry for essay, just wanting some advice and opinions.

@StressedOutMumma1984 I'm not sure if this definitely means decline 🤔no award of benifit iv never heard of this before.If it is a decline I would do a Mr its so hard and mentally draining but we have to try.I really hope it's not a decline xx

@Looloo12332 thanks for your reply. I know this is why I'm so confused, as he didnt say either way and the phrase he used wasn't really clear either. To wait 18 weeks and be told of a decline is absolutely sole destroying 😔😕 it would help my little boy so much and absolutely at my wits end with it all xx

@StressedOutMumma1984 awh I know it must be devastating I'm still waiting it will be 18 weeks on Monday and I know what the money could do for my daughter like what it would do for your lil one.Its not very clear did u fill in all questions on the form could you have missed one out todo woth benefits? X

I know some dms are calling people who have missed out questions on forms x

@Looloo12332 as far as I'm aware I have completed all questions. I did copy everything I sent, and have gone over everything again. I can't find anything I have missed. They also never tried to call back, after I missed the call on Tuesday.

@StressedOutMumma1984 I really hope you got through to a person who couldn't be bothered and your lil one did get awarded its very strange thing to say they could have just said its declined or it was awarded xx

@StressedOutMumma1984 when one of my children was awarded they said a decision had been made but they didn't know what the rates were as it didn't say on the system. So I wouldn't say it was definite decline. Fingers crossed keep us updated x
