hi all just got off the phone to dla and my daughter got awarded yesturday, do I tell universal credit now or do I wait until I get the letter as wondered if you have provide evidence? Any help would be really appreciated x

Just got off the phone and omg my girl has been awarded MRC and no rate mobility as she’s only 3 but they said she will probs get it when she turns 5, honestly so so happy! I could cry, Thankyou for all the support and good luck to everyone x

@Lauren2121 congratulations! If you know the rates and the date the award started then you can update your UC straight away x

@doingmybest23 hiya sorry not sure if you were asking me but my scan date was 7/8 and was awarded yesturday x

@Lauren2121 report as a change under people living with you, select the child the dla is for then follow instructions. If you need to report you are now caring then report that aswell. Once you have done that, write a message in your journal explaining your changes and request that disabled child element and carer element are added on to your claim going forward. Also request that these 2 elements are backdated to the DLA start date. They will then send it to a desicion maker to sort it all out x

@5anddone @TashaHnH24 i phoned today and after 1 hour and 45 mins on hold got told my daughter has been awarded middle rate care, honestly so happy! Thankyou for the support x
