@Kirsty111 hiya, my daughter got awarded yesturday and the scan date was 7/8 but I’ve seen a few people get awarded with the dates 10/8 so I’m sure it won’t be too much longer, good luck to you x

How often do you guys ring? I have really bad anxiety surrounding phone calls so I don’t want to get told off but the waiting is actually horrible, I rang Tuesday but I’m really tempted to ring tomorrow morning or should I wait it out and ring Monday lol… scan date 11/08

@Kezzia87 hiya, I called on Tuesday and was told 3-5 weeks and was going to wait until tomorrow but gave in and rang today and my daughter got awarded yesterday, deffo worth calling, good luck to you x

My scan date is also 11/08.

I rang on Tuesday for the first time in 2/3 months and said, ‘Hi, I’m calling for an update on my daughter’s claim.’ They said okay and asked for the reference/NI number along with a few other questions. They told me that it had been with a DM since last Friday (08/12) and that I should have an answer by the end of the week.

I called again today and said the same thing, ‘Hi, I’m calling for an update on my daughter’s claim,’ and were asked the same questions. The woman told me that the decision was made yesterday and that my 2 year old DD was awarded MRC.

Don’t be put off by calling. I called at 9am on the dot both times and kept my sentence really simple. Even if they ‘told you off,’ you’re not doing anything wrong. If they have an attitude just say that the person you spoke to on Tuesday said that you can call again on Friday for another update. Good luck, don’t feel intimidated by them!

I've got to call them tomorrow to see if they can add notes to his form?
On the original form I said yes he does fall from his condition all the time.. but it said have they ever been to hospital with it I ticked no because he hasn't..
Until tonight when I'm at the hospital having to check for concussion because he walloped his head off an ipad and was still in pain 14 hours later..

His condition renders him that dizzy and unbalanced he falls over if he tries to walk!
But want to if dla can add that note/change it.

@Kezzia87 my scan date was 8/8 I phoned everyday this week most of them have been nice but if they say anything to you about calling before the 20 weeks that the automated message states just say all my written correspondence states 15 weeks. Also phone at 9 on the dot press option 6 and then option 3 when the options come up and you will get through within 5 minutes so you won’t have the Extra anxiety of being on hold for forever!

@cocoapple Hi just to say your son will qualify for 15 hours free nursery provision once he is 3 ( school based nursery from April) I'm a nursery teacher

Can you phone to ask the rates woke up to back pay but the life I can’t work it out or anyone be able to try work it out for me please

When was the date you rang for the forms? Was your form in within the time frame (6 weeks)?
Your rates would have £10 Xmas bonus Inc. So your total amount.. minus £10.
Then divide that amount by x weeks (since you called) then hopefully can work out your weekly rate and look online at dla rates ..
LOWER RATE CARE = 26.90 A WEEK
MIDDLE RATE CARE= 68.10
Higher rate= 101.75

Lower mobility = 26.90
Higher mobility= £71

Your rates could be a combo of combo of care and mobility so could be 2 added together.

So I phoned on the 9th off June scan date was the 9th august was awarded on Tuesday woke up to 2290 I tried every way but can’t work it out x

Got a text at 4.30 yesterday saying my son qualifies for DLA, scan date 23/8, first text 31/10, second text 21/11

@Carlawith3boys is it definitely 9th June you rang ? As from what I gathered if scanned 9th August they will class that as late (8 weeks) if that is the case looks like from 9th august you have hc and lm but I could be wrong x
