@Keddie I hope you and everyone else hears very soon please update I've a feeling I might be joining in the MR club next year x

Mummytofivelittles · 14/12/2023 14:07

we are the 15th too and been lurking and reading messages. Rang today for an update but hasn’t even gone to dm yet

Kelseeyx · 14/12/2023 14:07

@Loumumoftwo that's great! Still nothing here but I've just added the carers element today as I'm not sure if I can get it.. I have limited work capability but I don't receive any extra money for this as it stopped in 2017, I've just read that you get awarded which ever one is higher so I assume it would be the carers element as I don't get extra for lwc, hope this makes sense 😂 it's all so confusing xx

doingmybest23 · 14/12/2023 14:34

Did you manage to get through @cocoapple x

cocoapple · 14/12/2023 14:37

@doingmybest23 it cut me off after 20 minutes🥲x

doingmybest23 · 14/12/2023 14:44

@cocoapple they are shocking honestly xx

cocoapple · 14/12/2023 14:47

@doingmybest23 I know I’m fed up with it now just want it to be over xx

Looloo12332 · 14/12/2023 14:48

Just a quick tip I told the woman on the form why has dates been awarded after mine if they are going in order she then said let her look into it and cane back woth actually it is with the cm it don't show on screen unless u look into it x

cocoapple · 14/12/2023 14:49

Maybe that’s why they all say different things when you phone because most can’t be bothered to actually look for you x

Loumumoftwo · 14/12/2023 14:54

@Kelseeyx yes I believe you get the higher of the two. So as long as you receive MRC/HRC for DLA you will get the carers element too. You could try calling them to say you haven’t had any response and you wanted to make sure you’ve done it correctly. Good luck xx

logangracie93 · 14/12/2023 15:02

@cocoapple I feel you with this, its becoming obsessive for us at this point. keep going, it surely won't be much longer now 🤞🏼 xx

Shade87 · 14/12/2023 15:11

@cocoapple I filed in a formal complaint...is absolutely unacceptable to be mislead back and front in this way. The system is simply not fair and transparent.

BoyGirlMomxox · 14/12/2023 15:22

@Shade87 good for you
The system isn't fit for purpose... 22 weeks for a decision is redic, 15 weeks you can just about get to grips with x

cocoapple · 14/12/2023 15:32

@logangracie93 it really is😫 thank you, you too🤞🏼xx

cocoapple · 14/12/2023 15:35

@Shade87 Don’t blame you, feel like doing the same myself. The whole thing is ridiculous

BoyGirlMomxox · 14/12/2023 15:43

I've had such a rant today 😂 feel better for it though x

Shade87 · 14/12/2023 15:46

Worst part is thet when I phoned to put in a complaint, the customer advisor tried to mislead me again by telling me I need to put it in writing, then I mentioned to him Goverment online guides, where it has been clearly stated that someone can fill a complaint by phone with the department is unhappy with and ask for it to be escalated to a senior manager.😫

126t · 14/12/2023 16:03

My scan date is 21st September

Luevzamum · 14/12/2023 16:25

@Puglover3 hi that’s what I’m doing at the moment too he definitely fits the criteria of the SMI chart every box, and so I’ve put in an MR, I checked in the post office website to track see if they have received my extra information and they did receive it on Monday, I’ve not heard anything yet.

Luevzamum · 14/12/2023 16:30

@cocoapple this is literally my son too. Extreme outbursts of anger and violence along with loads of other problems daily,he’s ASD and adhd and a lot of other issues, he’s 13 now and I just fear he’s getting bigger now and one day he’s gonna really do me some damage.

Puglover3 · 14/12/2023 16:31

@Luevzamum let me know how you get on 🤞
I’ve got to wait for my letter to come before I can do it

Keddie · 14/12/2023 16:32

@Ilovemychildren123 Have you heard anything at all? x

Lauren2121 · 14/12/2023 16:34

Hi all, scan date 7/8 I’m currently on hold been on for 1 hour and 40 minutes, really hoping it don’t cut off at 5 x

Luevzamum · 14/12/2023 16:41

Sorry I meant to tag @Mum23xxx about the description u have of your child x

Amy92x · 14/12/2023 16:44

Hi everyone thought I'd let you all know regarding carers allowance not through uc my sister done a claim tuesday online and today she called up and they said it was awarded with backpack etc I thought this may help anyone wanting to claim carers allowance.
