Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Babzie · 14/12/2023 10:38

I am sat still and awaiting end of jan I was being generous I believe it may be later 🙈
But some people on here have been awarded with the same date i swear its just pot look who you get dealing with your claim some seem to work faster then others x

Momtothreeboys · 14/12/2023 10:40

Got through quickly was only on hold 35 minutes.
Woman was lovely but she Said it's not with a decision maker yet and I'm looking at the first week of January going by the 20 week wait .

She told me I called for the claim pack on the 14th June and had till the 26th July to get it back in .. she said they didn't get it scanned on the system till the 18th August so if he qualify I'll probably only get back paid to then. I definitely sent the forms back with plenty of time as I sent them before the kids broke up for tjr summer holidays in July . She said they go to a scanning department and sometimes it takes two weeks or more to be scanned on to thr system. Surely that isn't out fault they take so long to get it logged. So I'll lose about 9 weeks worth of money if he does qualify x

2010crazyboymum · 14/12/2023 10:47

@Momtothreeboys if you have sent it recorded you can use that evidence to confirm when they recieved it.

Momtothreeboys · 14/12/2023 10:49

I didn't unfortunately I did ring them numerous times though to see if they had received it . And they told me to try once more before sending a new claim pack off as they thought it had got lost she did say I can write a covering letter and ask them to still back date it due to it not being my fault . X

SingleMommaBoss · 14/12/2023 10:56

Scan date 4/8

I can’t quite believe it… DD qualified! I had to read the text 10 times to be sure it said that. I just got out of the phone (around 40 min waiting time) to find out rates.

She is on the Autism and ADHD pathway waiting assessment. She is able to do things, but needs constant prompting and reminders. She shuts down when overwhelmed. There is a lot of refusal for activities and to transition from one thing to another. She is quiet and very shy.

Her younger brother is the opposite- also likely ASD & ADHD, having assessments presently. He is on the go constantly, continent issues, behind in school, behaviour issues, loud, excitable, etc.

Although he is a lot trickier to deal with behaviours, I say they are two sides of the same coin. I’m also surprised they awarded them the same rates for care and mobility.

I am glad they didn’t over looked her needs and how girls present different from boys (this has been even a huge lesson for me, since it was school who referred her for assessment- whilst I have been the one fighting for DS to be assessed since he was 3).

RaychieBee · 14/12/2023 10:59

Congratulations 🥰

Scan date 8/08
Last Text 7/11

My son's claim is still with a DM and has been since 11th...so I am now on day 4. They said 5 working day for a decision. I am going to be patient and if not hearing anything will call back on Monday.
Good luck to all of those are still waiting...and congrats to all those that has been awarded today 🎊

Ash894 · 14/12/2023 11:16

@Mykidsmyworld4 Hi I'm the same date. I rang this morning to see if they had received extra evidence I sent last week, she told me they are taking 20 weeks. But I've seen a few dates around ours been awarded now so maybe they just tell us that incase it does take longer.

RaychieBee · 14/12/2023 11:19

Scan date 21/08
Just got off the phone to be told that my claim will not be looked at until the 21st week which will be the end of January and it is nowhere near being looked at and to phone back in febrauary 🤦

Loumumoftwo · 14/12/2023 11:20

@Momtothreeboys the exact same thing has happened to me, we have been awarded from our scan date, I called them and said I sent the form back well within the deadline and the lady advised me to write a letter to explain and it will get looked at by the decision maker. I basically put in the letter that the form states to allow a “few days” for the form to reach them before the deadline date, I posted one week before and I can’t be held responsible for how long it takes them to scan the form on to their system. I also had a receipt from post office to show what date I posted. Also someone else on here had exact same happen to her, she sent a letter in and got awarded from original date she requested the form.
hope this helps xx

Momtothreeboys · 14/12/2023 11:26

Thanks hun I'll do this . Its ridiculous they should allow time for the scanning in etc x

RaychieBee · 14/12/2023 11:48

Just seen a post on Facebook where they rang yesterday at 9am to be told it wasnt with anyone yet and still the queue to be seen and about 3 hours later had a text with that they had been awarded so there's still hope.

Would be so much easier if they had an online checker to check what status it is at. Would stop the phones being clogged up with people asking for an update 😂

MummytoJacob14 · 14/12/2023 12:15

@Thejackrussellsrule Thank you for your instructions on how to do it. I have now added it to UC. I called DLA to find out my son's rates today and he has been awarded MRC and LRM until 08/2025 and backdated to my scan date 10/08. Over the moon for him!

BoyGirlMomxox · 14/12/2023 12:16

Just called up to check if received evidence, 40 mins wait that's very quick lol (that's how bad the service is to get excited 😂)
Been told it's 22 weeks for new claims and 11 weeks for renewals
I said well I was told 15 weeks when I claimed so is that for claims coming through she said no wait times have now increased
I also have had no texts she said I may not get any they work off letters predominantly. It's just a shambles.
I'm so glad for everyone getting awarded in august now it's about time and I hope those doing MR are successful and don't have to wait much longer x

Mum23xxx · 14/12/2023 12:24

@cocoapple did you manage to get threw? Your the same date as mine I think the scan date 14/8 hoping my son doesn't get declined so much he's 9 ADHD and possible asd his outbursts can be so shocking when he gets overwhelmed he's smashed up my house hit me when he can't express it he doesn't do full time school because he puts himself and others in danger he's escaped school because he had enough and he doesn't sleep I really don't like bed time he's on highest dose of melatonin in the evening for his age or he will be up once he was up 48 hours because he was on the go it's so draining and not knowing is awful xx

Keddie · 14/12/2023 12:25

@BoyGirlMomxox the wait is agonising ! I am awaiting a MR Decision, almost 2 weeks now. Was told at the time it was 2.5 weeks. We will see x

cocoapple · 14/12/2023 12:30

@Mum23xxx hi yeah my scan date is the 14/8 and I had to be somewhere for 9:30 so I gave up. If I haven’t heard anything by Monday I’ll probably call then. It’s really tough isn’t it, it’s horrible to think the decision is in someone’s hands who have never met our children. There’s only so much we can write and it’s difficult to put into words sometimes. Good luck to you hope we hear something soon xx

Puglover3 · 14/12/2023 12:32

scan date 8/8
phoned this morning to put an official complaint in about how long the waiting times are when all my communication states 15 weeks and got a phone call back within 3 hours to say my son has been awarded HRC and LRM. Will be doing a MR as he should definitely get HRM under SMI

BoyGirlMomxox · 14/12/2023 12:34

@Keddie they need a better system, it's failing the children at the end of the day and these are vulnerable children. Being backdated all those weeks is besides the point, when the staff say that it's as if it's acceptable to wait 3000 years because it will be backdated 😂
Don't even get me started on UC they don't even inform people and when you ask for it backdating it's as if your asking for money out their wages. It's shocking and I've not even been waiting long I just feel for people waiting months on end now x

Keddie · 14/12/2023 12:47

@BoyGirlMomxox Its infuriating! The only company in the world that still has a very manual system! This has been going on since June, was declined in November. The letter didnt explain why very generic. Started the MR process will have to just wait, I will call them next week for an update but can see some people have been waiting 4+ weeks for an answer x

cocoapple · 14/12/2023 12:55

I’ve got spare half hour so going to try and ring again

doingmybest23 · 14/12/2023 12:59

Just following

Lauren2121 · 14/12/2023 13:21

@TashaHnH24 congratulations so happy for you, so glad your wait is over, I’m getting so worried now 😭 hope I hear soon x

TashaHnH24 · 14/12/2023 13:40

Hey hun thank you, I would give them till tomorrow and then see what happens and call them again as loads today for dates after ours so I was going to wait but then saw it in bank this morning but still had no text or call so just not told me I had got it. Fingers crossed yours is in before next week babs. Let me know how you get on xx

Looloo12332 · 14/12/2023 14:01
