Wonder if the weather has delayed Royal mail vans.. I know it's affecting trains.

I'm sure if not delivered by that 1pm you can claim in it?

Lauren2121 · 09/12/2023 09:45

@Tammie23 thats alright Thankyou so much I’m so anxious scan date 7/8 but I called yesturday they said another3/5 weeks x

mumoftwoxxx · 09/12/2023 09:47

@2010crazyboymum I just finally got through to RM, and she explained that possibly because of how much post they can get it wasn't scanned but has been delivered.. Suggested I call them to find out, and as you mentioned offered a refund on postage fee. Really hoping it's there 😫 my anxiety issues are not helping me through this process 🙈 good luck all hope we hear soon x

Mum2onebeauifulgirl · 09/12/2023 20:01

Hi hope some one can help would been awarded and on universal credit, my daughter has been awarded hrc and irm and I have put in for careers allowance so they saying I can't get the backpayment on premium disabled child or the money for cring for her either and I still have to look for work and attend job centre, my next appointment is on Wednesday at job centre, and still have to look for work for 30 hours aweek and careers allowance can take up for 6 weeks for a descion please help. Confused.com

Mummyvic123 · 09/12/2023 20:02

@Lauren2121 will do, and let me know if you hear anything @5anddone it's painful at this stage isn't it. Good luck to both of you for news.

Mammalee5 · 09/12/2023 20:55

You need to change your circumstances on the uc online to caring for someone. You 100% do not need to claim carers allowance in order to get the carers element. You are looking after a child with high care needs full-time. The backpay for carers element and the high rate disability element needs sending to a decision maker. Put a note on your journal as well saying can they please confirm in writing on the journal that they are refusing to and that you must still look for work and care for your child on HRC DLA. So you can screenshot it for citizen advice bureau and your local mp that you will be contacting as it goes against all UC rules for this situation as you have already been advised .

Do that Mum2onebeautifulgirl And i bet you anything they'll quickly get it sorted x

2010crazyboymum · 09/12/2023 20:56

You need carers element added to your uc. That tells them you spent 30+ hours a week caring.

Mum2onebeauifulgirl · 09/12/2023 22:56

I have updated universal credit that am caring for my daughter and I still have got my appointment on Wednesday , I had a phone call on Friday morning to say I still need to look for 30 hours aweek until they had seen evidence that my daughter is receive dla and they won't backpack my daughter money for careers element orthe high rate disability element until they see the prove that she receiving dla, even know I was able to apply for career allowance what I have receiving email back saying can take up to 6 weeks for a descion on that will will get a letter in writing once they made it ad need careers allowance to get a card for my daughter what is a 8 year old so it hopefully will help her and others to understand that she has special needs and not a brat what she been called a few times on public transport as she is Loud and she don't think before she say things as waiting for her austism and adhd referral is taking forever . Hoping this letter would arrive on time before my appointment at 10:30am on Wednesday so can focus more on my daughter .

Lauren2121 · 09/12/2023 23:10

@Mummyvic123 @5anddone Thankyou, will keep you both posted if I hear anything, the anxiety as it gets closer is awful, got fingers crossed for you both, so glad I found this group x
