Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Hardingcl · 07/12/2023 16:05

@Rebeccanew they must be doing a bit today as I’ve just had 2 changes to benefits letters saying they accept it! It says it will be adjusted in the next payment but I’m not sure how much it will xxx

Rebeccanew · 07/12/2023 16:10

@Hardingcl have you had your second letter saying how much backdated etc? I’m still waiting on that one and what rate Dla did you get if you don’t mind me asking as that goes on how much a month extra on uc you get xxxxxx

Rebeccanew · 07/12/2023 16:21

@Hardingcl also they send that letter then they calculate how much they owe you then send another letter xxxxx

Hardingcl · 07/12/2023 16:22

@Rebeccanew my little one gets MRC LRM xx do you have to ask for the letter asking how much or will they automatically send it xxx

Rebeccanew · 07/12/2023 16:28

I think you’ll get extra 146 month hun but don’t take that is facts but I’m sure mrc is 146 month so work that how long your backdate has went back from that’s what you’ll be owed…I could be wrong but i really think that’s the rates for mrc and no you’ll get seperate letter after the one saying they accepted it xxxxxx @Hardingcl

Amy92x · 07/12/2023 16:31

Hi the uc disability element for mrc is £146.31 and for hrc is £456.89 hope this helps. I've had my backpack from uc and that's what I received for hrc and my younger one is on mrc and receives the other one. Xx

Cherrycokeandchocolatecake · 07/12/2023 16:55

Thank you all for your help along the way. I’ve just had the text to say our child qualifies.

Scan date 03/08

Mummyvic123 · 07/12/2023 17:02

I'm guessing that there would have been no scan dates for the 5th and 6th of august as that was a weekend as mine is the 7th (which was a monday) and I assume they were not working the weekends at that time? Which means if I'm right it will go from scan dates of the 4th getting awarded straight to the 7th!
Hope that makes sense? Just trying to will the time to go quicker 😆

5anddone · 07/12/2023 17:05

@Mummyvic123
I’m the 07/08 too and this was my thinking.
So with the 2nd/3rd being awarded today or going to a DM.. we should be looking at early next week for decisions or going to DM’s at least??
Well.. that’s what I’m hoping anyway!

Mummyvic123 · 07/12/2023 17:11

@5anddone I only thought about it yesterday so fingers crossed we are right🤞 the wait is stressing me out now as I feel I didn't fill the form very well! Good luck to you and everybody else waiting, will keep you posted if I hear anything x

5anddone · 07/12/2023 17:13

@Mummyvic123 same here, I’ve gone back over my photocopy and I’m sure I didn’t write enough showing my sons extra care needs!
Fingers crossed to for us all!

Mummyvic123 · 07/12/2023 17:24

@5anddone same as when it asked how many times a day about getting dressed I just put 2 (once in morning and once at bedtime) but I didn't put that it can take upto 45 minutes each time. And now her needs have changed as she needs watching whilst in bed as she gets out hundreds of times, doesn't really sleep and now has taken to climbing on the bannister which is very stressful.

5anddone · 07/12/2023 17:31

@Mummyvic123 just seems so simple to make mistakes or not explain properly.
I personally thought the form was quite difficult to understand and fill out. Plus there wasn’t much space to really explain everything.
Hopefully we are just being overly critical of ourselves after such a long wait.
I barely even thought about the application until I hit 15/16 weeks and since then I’ve been obsessing.

Mammalee5 · 07/12/2023 17:40

If they told everyone at the start 20 weeks, we wouldn't have spent from week 15 stressing. By the time you get to 17 - 18 weeks, you've lost the patience.

I know 2 of mine have been with a DM for a day or 2 so checking my texts constantly now. Next week will be torture constantly checking my account

Louboo09 · 07/12/2023 17:54

How much more uc do you get for lrc please? Mines with the dm so what does the dm do?xx

egowise · 07/12/2023 17:58

Momof2soonmomto3 · 05/12/2023 15:56

Finally been answered renewal claims are all delt with a week before they run out and if for what ever reason if this is delayed you will still be paid until that decision is made and youve got until that week before to send the extra evidence hope this helps 🥰 and good luck to all

I only got my renewal pack a month before it was due! Sent the week I got it.

I hope this is the case!

Thank you!

Loumumoftwo · 07/12/2023 18:03

@Hardingcl@Rebeccanew@Amy92x yes thats right £146.31 for lrc and mrc and £456.89 for hrc. For those of you with mrc or hrc you should also get the carers element of £185.86 per month, you have to tell them about this separately on your uc account under ‘report a change’ and then ‘caring for someone’.
Hope this helps x

edit- just to add carers element is different to carers allowance just incase you didn’t know x

Amy92x · 07/12/2023 18:06

@Loumumoftwo thanks hun I updated uc on Monday got the letter of backpay Wednesday and money in account today so was really quick for me fingers crossed its quick for everyone else xx

Loumumoftwo · 07/12/2023 18:08

@Amy92x ah that’s good to know, I updated uc yesterday and I was wondering how long it would take to receive a letter and back pay. Thanks hun x

Rebeccanew · 07/12/2023 18:13

I thought I was right but didn’t know for sure hun and Ohh I didn’t know carers element Thankyou for that @Loumumoftwo do I just leave a note for that? Xxxxxx

AnneD96 · 07/12/2023 18:27

I updated uc yesterday for both and no reply yet! Hoping isn’t long! Haven’t had my backdated dla yet either but rang yesterday and was told awarded and rates of award and how much to expect
scan date 1/8

good luck everyone waiting still

Loumumoftwo · 07/12/2023 18:34

@Rebeccanew have you already reported the change for children living with you and completed the dla part? If so you need to go back to ‘report a change’ and select ‘caring for someone’ this time and use the date the dla was awarded from again, just fill in details to say you’re the main carer for your child etc. I also popped a note on my journal to say daughter has now been awarded dla and asked for disabled child element and carers element to be backdated.
Hope that makes sense, let me know if need any further help x

Looloo12332 · 07/12/2023 18:38

I called today the lady who I spoke with was so nice really apologetic to me and truly sounded sorry to everyone waiting she did say they are changing the time frame to 21 weeks now as they are having new packs come through daily. She said paper work being scanned in is delayed answering phones are delayed everything is just delayed.By sounds of it they are on 3/4 of August now.Goodluck to u all xx

Tammie23 · 07/12/2023 19:36

@Jaffacakesrlife @Kelseeyx any news yet xxx

Jaffacakesrlife · 07/12/2023 19:42

@Tammie23 nope. I think I will hear end of next week. I didn't send any evidence as I didn't have any. when I called yesterday they put a note to the DM that i was sending SENCO reports (which states speech delay and physical development delay) aswell as referrals to OT speech language and and HCP so they will probably wait for that (hopefully its enough). they have received it but weather its scanned intime who knows. hes only 3 hopefully they dont try saying its normal behaviour xx
