DLA wait times… part 22 (2023)

@Anonymousks1984 well I did get told I wouldn’t hear until December as I rang Friday then I got text Saturday morning I’m ringing in morning to find out what rates as she on MRC atm but I wasn’t sure if you’d still get a text saying been awarded if stayed on Same rates x

Mine been with case manager since tuesday hoping to know either way next week although they said ten to 14 days but am hoping that’s just a guideline and will be done quicker and the just saying that to stop me phoning up again hahav

Is the scan date the date on the front of the form?
My son’s is 29/7.
I had a text on 31/10.

My scan date is 4/8
texts on 9/10 and 31/10

Linacre96 I'm same date him. They saying 23 weeks now. I called them Friday. So another week I'm gonna ring again. Good luck hope you hear soon.

18 weeks 4 days since scan
6 weeks tomorrow since last text

I have a feeling its a decline but I need to know so I can move on, it took me weeks to fill out the form so I need to know my efforts where wasted.

@Looloo12332 COC stands for change of circumstances for claims that are already in receipt of DLA where the child’s needs have changed or worsened. Or if you now have more evidence and think your child should be receiving a higher award.
@LeTitsNowwww The scan date is the date they scan your completed forms into the system when they receive them. It would be on the first letter they send you stating that they have received your claim or you can call and ask for it.

@MammyAng84 Keep thinking "I can't remember if I included this" or "If I included this then the evidence from the professionals/school won't back it up so it'll be a decline anyway"

@LeTitsNowwww The date on the front of my form was 7/6 but by the time I sent it back and they received it my scan date was 14/8.You normally get first text then a second text and if what people on here are to go by its about 5 weeks after secind text you get a decision.

@MangoPepsiLover that is a really long wait and I would definitely ring them as iv seen loads of people get decisions after your date.Hopefully you will hear soon and get what is well deserved

@Looloo12332 I rang last Tuesday (21st) and was told its with DM and to not call back before 4th December

I was the same, kept wondering if I wrote enough to explain or if I managed to mess up the forms some how, the longer u wait the more the doubt sets in. I know through all of this was I wished I had been quicker because maybe if I did it quicker we would of got quicker reply but now I’m glad I took that extra time if that makes sense xx

@MammyAng84 I get what you mean, I started filling the forms in at Easter and sent them back end of June/beginning of July, thats how long it took me, but I am a single parent and I do care for my dad and grandparents as well (unpaid I'll add).
