@Ames52 @Kelseeyx same date as both of you, so looking out for your updates. I was told friday that my 3 applications were in a holding queue and to call back at 18 weeks. I was hoping that with 3 applications at least 1 would be done by then. The wait is torture now.

Shade87 · 30/11/2023 10:45

@Mumof8boysand2girls My scan date is
08/08 and I received last text 7/11 like you.
I've called two days ago and unfortunately I had a rude guy that told me off since they said you should stayed online only if has passed 20 weeks. I have exactly told him that well my letter was stating 15 weeks. He did not provide me with any info, just said it's take 20 days that is were you are standing now. Absolutely unprofessional.

Ames52 · 30/11/2023 10:48

@Mammalee5 it's unbearable isn't it. It consumes every waking thought.

mummakay123 · 30/11/2023 10:48

@crazytimes20 I'm still waiting with scan date 25/7! It's unbearable waiting and seeing other scan dates after ours being awarded isn't it! I'm hoping to hear something soon!

Mumof3specialkids · 30/11/2023 10:49

Sorry for asking as I know this has been asked before….
how long did it take after the decision day until the back pay goes in your account?
Guy on the phone said 22nd of December but that seems a long wait.

Mammalee5 · 30/11/2023 10:52

@Ames52 checking bank account every morning, checking text messages throughout the day, stalking this chat and the fb dla one for updates all day. Mentally planning mandatory reconsideration. As soon as it got to the 15 weeks it's hard.

Mumof2adhaasd · 30/11/2023 10:52

@notameangirlhun Depending on the date they received your form it’s probably an uprate from mrc to hrc. Well done 👍🏻

Dizzymom · 30/11/2023 10:54

What's the Facebook group called please?

Mammalee5 · 30/11/2023 10:57

@Dizzymom dla for children:advice and support.

Mumof8boysand2girls · 30/11/2023 10:59

We were told 15 weeks when we applied
if we had just applied I would respect the 20 weeks they’ve changed it to but anyone told 15 weeks and are now over that should have the right to question the goalpost being moved
if it was the other way and we didn’t reply in a deadline time we’d be penalised so how is that fair
I’m on hold again
don’t understand why they take this job answering desperate parents and be so rude surely they have to do training and need some empathy for parents that have disabled children and are just trying to get what they deserve to help them with their challenges
I am hoping they’ll answer this time third time lucky

crazytimes20 · 30/11/2023 11:01

@mummakay123 yeah it's awful. This week has been the worst by far. I just want to know. I know they can take up to 20 wks I really hope it doesn't. I'm just dreading a decline.

cocoapple · 30/11/2023 11:02

@Mumof8boysand2girls Completely agree👏🏻

MrsB97 · 30/11/2023 11:09

I've decided to call. Not hoping for much as I'm only 17 weeks tomorrow but some august dates have been done, so I guess you never know with this process. Good luck all x
Scan date 04/08
Last text 31/10

Puglover3 · 30/11/2023 11:13

@Mumof8boysand2girls i said exactly this when I phoned the other day! Surely the 20 weeks should be for the new applications! I got told off for phoning at 16 weeks! I said to them that all my communication says 15 weeks and we are over that! It’s so stressful waiting 15 weeks for them to then move the goalpost another 5 weeks 🤬

LollyRiv · 30/11/2023 11:16

I'm currently on hold to try and find out. I was told at the beginning of this week it was with DM. Fingers crossed I don't get cut off 😅. Currently been on hold 52 mins.
Thinking it will be a decline as I've not heard anything 😔 but really hope it isn't as my boy could really do with the extra support for pre school and to fund 1-1 swimming to help his mobility and pain.
Scan date 21/07

Shade87 · 30/11/2023 11:19

@Mumof8boysand2girls Totally agree with you. So unfair, after all a parent is already going through

Rebeccanew · 30/11/2023 11:33

@Tmxxany news from uc xxxxx

Tmxx · 30/11/2023 11:37

@Rebeccanew absolutely nothing! Any news for you hun? Xxxx

Ames52 · 30/11/2023 11:38

@MrsB97 Let us know what they say. I'm scan date 03/08, last text 31/10.

Mumof8boysand2girls · 30/11/2023 11:41

Still on hold
1 hour and 10 mins and third attempt

HomeEdmumof7 · 30/11/2023 11:48

Mariannec · 30/11/2023 09:48

@Tammie23 i am the same scan date, I called earlier this week. They said it was still in holding queue and would be with a dm 18 weeks from scan date then an extra 5-9 days for a decision

I'm 2/8 and was told the same last week.

LollyRiv · 30/11/2023 11:53

I've just got through, was on hold for 1hr 20 mins.
My Sons forms are with a CM and no decision yet. Gave the gentleman a little more info as my Sons condition has worsened since we submitted the forms. He said it can take around a week for a decision to be made.
I was told on Monday that the forms were with a DM. What's the difference between a DM and CM or are they the same role but people call them different names?

Mammalee5 · 30/11/2023 11:55

@LollyRiv pretty sure that the case managers are the senior staff, so they'll have to do spot checks on decision makers also if they're training them the case manager has to sign off on the decision

MrsB97 · 30/11/2023 12:07

@Ames52 She did say it's not with a DM yet but she did say it's taking 17 weeks to process the application to a DM and I'll just get a letter when they've made a decision. But when I called a few weeks ago they said I'll get a text so I might just phone again in a week or so x

Mumof8boysand2girls · 30/11/2023 12:08

1 hour and 28 mins on hold and spoke to a really nice man (thank god)
I said about the people waiting 20 weeks who have already gone past the 15 week timeframe and he said it stands for everyone
I told him that my son had got worse since I applied and only yesterday had a nasty fall due to his condition and we were in a&e all day that could have been prevented if I could afford to put things in place for him and that his also in need of some equipment that I just can’t afford
He said his going to flag my claim as priority but ultimately it’s down to a decision maker if it gets looked at sooner
I hope this helps everyone to know if you get the right person on the other end there’s a chance our claims will get looked at sooner or in hindsight in the timeframe we were told originally
whether or not my claim will get dealt with I don’t know yet but I will update if I hear anything
