@NeuroDmummy I wouldn’t have asked how long it was with the DM for if I had been awarded, I was just trying to guesstimate how long left to wait. But @MangoPepsiLover claim was with the DM for a week and others have been a day or two so I’m really none the wiser 😂. I’m so pleased you were awarded! I tend to always think the worst and try not to get my hopes up. One of my sons paediatricians did tell me that there are a lot of declines but majority do get overturned on a MR. She also told me that she would be alarmed if my son wasn’t awarded and would help with whatever I needed for a MR x

@TheRBC I know what you mean. I was preparing for a decline and to go through MR, not sure I quite believe it yet. Hope you get the award your DC deserves

Mojo161989 · 29/11/2023 19:33

Currently going through MR, it's been one week, I've sent in extra evidence recorded delivery, does anyone know roughly how long MRs are taking, is it worth calling to make sure they've received the extra evidence?

TheRBC · 29/11/2023 19:54

@MangoPepsiLover I am so glad you got awarded! I have watched you stress and worry because your decision was taking so long, so I am glad that you got the correct outcome without having to fight for it. Thank you so much for your positive words, truly mean a lot. I hated filling that form out, I’ve spent the last 2 years championing my sons achievements and to write down the “negatives” of his needs made me feel awful x

Mumofepilepsy · 29/11/2023 21:16

@MangoPepsiLover so glad ur wait is over am not going to all tomorrow am going to wait till Friday. Thankfully that feeling has gone for u and u can relax. Xxx

Hardingcl · 29/11/2023 21:36

Has anyone has problems with the backpay from UC. It's been passed to a decision maker but the case worker theyve verified the dla claim but said they don't have a time frame for the decision maker! Why does everything
take so long!

MammyAng84 · 29/11/2023 23:40

I finally got a reply on mine today saying it’s been sent to a Dm & can’t give me a timeframe then carers allowance is saying I have to give them upto 6 weeks aswell. Don’t they think I’ve spent long enough waiting as I’m at 20 weeks just with dla 😭

CourtneyLxx · 30/11/2023 00:16

@Mumofepilepsy @LollyRiv 21/07 scan date 16/10 text, just received payment into my bank just now looks like HRC really hope you get your decisions soon xx

CourtneyLxx · 30/11/2023 01:35

@Cherrycokeandchocolatecake My little boy is 2 and a half, suspected ASD and GDD, all i sent off was a speech and language report (was one piece of paper) and my health visitor filled in the ‘who knows my child’ section. Just been awarded hrc good luck xx

mumtumok · 30/11/2023 05:54

So I just lay here and panic. The eveidence you send in with the form like reports etc .. do have to put child’s date of birth and name on top of each page ? Because I didn’t only when I sent in additional info after they had already received the form.

I didn’t put my DD’s name and date of birth on top of the evidence reports I sent in. I didn’t think.

When my son was awarded DLA, I didn’t put his name at the top of his reports and it was all ok. The reports will obviously have the child’s name on it and it will also have their dob at the top of the report too.

When I rang to ask them if they have the evidence I sent with the form, they confirmed they have it so it’s all there.

mumtumok · 30/11/2023 07:17

@funinthesun19 ah brilliant thank you for that . I might be able to sleep tonight lol xx

Raych1989 · 30/11/2023 07:30

@MammyAng84 @Hardingcl Mine will be 4 weeks tomorrow since I updated UC and I'm still waiting on decison maker. Can't believe how quick some get it sorted and others waiting weeks. It took them 2 weeks just to send to a decison maker. I'm really hoping it's sorted soon. I'll keep people updated if I hear anything but I'm not holding out any hope at minute 😔

Kelseeyx · 30/11/2023 07:30

17 weeks here today, may give them a call at 9am to see if I've got time to send off my ds updated speech and language report.

MilaMom · 30/11/2023 07:45

Ladies, what is the difference from a decision maker and a case manager? Mine is with a case manager and the guy on the phone said it means that wouldn’t be long now.
but a lot of you are with a decision maker and some are taking a week after being with the decision maker.
I guess im just confused if it goes to case manager first and then decision maker. Does anyone know that?

mumtumok · 30/11/2023 07:49

I think they are pretty much the same thing it doesn’t go from one to the other I don’t think - think the case manager is just higher up the ladder but because there are so many applications case managers are making decisions too x

Watso2408 · 30/11/2023 07:50

It’s so frustrating the wait. Scan date 27/7, 18 weeks today. I don’t have time to call for an update, feeling deflated as people around my date have been awarded and Iv heard nothing. Preparing myself for a refusal. Sorry just need to vent x

Mumofepilepsy · 30/11/2023 08:02

@CourtneyLxx ohhhh wow fantastic 😁I really do hope ours is soon. Did you get a txt xxx

MangoPepsiLover · 30/11/2023 08:03

Backpay has hit my account this morning, I'm blubbering like a baby again

crazytimes20 · 30/11/2023 08:04

@Watso2408 it's horrible ain't it. I'm 18+2 and haven't heard anything yet. I rang Monday and it was with DM. I'm tempted to ring at 9 for an update. I'm trying to be positive but I am expecting a decline. I really don't want to go through the MR process. Good luck to those waiting still.

Mumofepilepsy · 30/11/2023 08:05

@MangoPepsiLover awwww this just proves how much of a relief it is for u. I think I will be the same xxx

CourtneyLxx · 30/11/2023 08:10

@Mumofepilepsy nope my last text was 16/10 and had nothing since. Just payment in bank. 🤞🏻 for you xxx

Amy92x · 30/11/2023 08:43

@MilaMom omg yes that's what I was told yesterday it will go to the case manager and it won't take long and I thought the same thing whats the difference?

Mumofepilepsy · 30/11/2023 08:44

@CourtneyLxx ohh ok nothing yet no txt or money in bank. Maybe soon 😞x

Rocketlollies2 · 30/11/2023 08:53

19/07 scan date, 16/10 last txt, still waiting..
