@CHS100288 that's ridiculous seeing as though seen so many after our date getting awarded.

crazytimes20 · 20/11/2023 11:36

@CHS100288 oh my god!!! That's shocking. Why are there dates being awarded at the end of July/August. It makes no sense at all.

roki · 20/11/2023 11:41

they said that but peoples from early august already getting an answer doesnt make any sense

CHS100288 · 20/11/2023 11:43

@Mdavies2023 @crazytimes20
Let me know if you have any luck with calling today! I might try again this afternoon! 😬🤣

Sskanf · 20/11/2023 11:44

@Mumma3girls my sons almost 4 in a few months. He also only got awarded mrc no mobility. He's still in a buggy due to having no sense of danger at all. If he gets overwhelmed he will dysregulate and run into the road or throw himself on the floor and hurt himself and anyone around him. So to keep him safe I have to have him strapped I can only take him on a 20 min shopping trip Aby longer than that he will have serious meltdowns. If you hear anything about mobility plz update

crazytimes20 · 20/11/2023 11:44

I think they are saying it to try and stop people calling in. It's the only thing I can think of. I don't think those on the phones have a clue. Let's up we ain't all waiting that long. They'll be breaking off for Xmas before you know it.

CHS100288 · 20/11/2023 11:45

@crazytimes20 what's your scan date? X

crazytimes20 · 20/11/2023 11:48

25/7...last txt 23/10.

MammyAng84 · 20/11/2023 11:56

I give up for today, 13 times I’ve been cut off after the options.

PinkMoscatoLover · 20/11/2023 11:56

Whoops I forgot to name change for the new thread🤭

I’m sorry to hear of the declines and lower awards today. Definitely let them know that you’d like to do a MR so that they can send you a letter specific to your claim and not a generic one.

You may just need a fresh pair of eyes to look at the claim. Good luck all🤞🏾

CHS100288 · 20/11/2023 11:57

@crazytimes20 My last text was 16/10!

Kelseeyx · 20/11/2023 12:02

50 minutes on hold so far

Amy92x · 20/11/2023 12:05

@Kelseeyx I am 57mins so far lol

Amy92x · 20/11/2023 12:10

Just got through to a lady who said mine is in the holding pile still and should go to a dm end of the month. So another completely different thing told today.
28.7
Good luck to everyone today

Kelseeyx · 20/11/2023 12:16

@Tammie23 @Jaffacakesrlife got through to a lovely lady who said claims are currently taking 20 weeks, and so I should hear by the latest 22nd of December 😬 hopefully be before that seeing as people with August dates are already getting a decision 🤔

Mumma3girls · 20/11/2023 12:17

@Sskanf i think from peoples helpful reply’s on here, and the info on Google, I won’t be able to get anything mobility wise for her until she is 5. I’m not going to challenge it as I don’t want to risk losing the care that she’s just been awarded, especially as I’m still waiting for a formal diagnosis.

Mumma3girls · 20/11/2023 12:19

@Jude82 let me know when you receive yours- we were awarded the same afternoon weren’t we? I’m still waiting- Barclays Bank…

Amy92x · 20/11/2023 12:29

Does anyone know how long it takes to go to a decision maker when it's in a holding pile? Is the holding pile the step before the dm or is everyone's just in a holding pile so confused sorry.

Sskanf · 20/11/2023 12:33

@Mumma3girls yes thats true I also don't think I'll challenge it as its a risk of losing the rate awarded. You can apply for carers element tho I've put a note on my journal on UC waiting to hear back

Jude82 · 20/11/2023 12:39

@Mumma3girls Yes I was Friday 17th award date too and I’m also Barclays. Hoping it’s in tomorrow or Wednesday latest. Just heard back from UC too ( I noted my journal on Friday) and they have agreed to backdate carers element and Disability element to June. They haven’t said when I will get that either though. I have noted to ask if it’s a separate payment or if it will be added on to my normal UC payment due 30/11. Awaiting a response.

BoyGirlMomxox · 20/11/2023 12:40

They still haven't received diagnosis report or IEP from school. But ladies made a note on the system that I've sent them and that we're also awaiting an ehcp. Got told 18 weeks today as opposed to 17.5 weeks last week 🙈 x

Sskanf · 20/11/2023 12:48

@Jude82 I notified UC on Thursday, was phoned today to ask why I didn't notify them sooner in regards to back date pay I explained wait ti especially for a decision take 18 weeks. Was told I'd hear back in a few days time

I'm with natwest bank was awarded Wednesday still waiting for backdated DLA.
@rebeccanew have you heard back?.

Tammie23 · 20/11/2023 12:49

@Kelseeyx thats ridiculous yes I'm sure we will hear before then xx

Holly0209 · 20/11/2023 12:51

Just quick questions about carers element on UC. I have 2 claims for my sons. If both do get awarded an I able to get carers element twice or is it only one carers element payment ?

Jude82 · 20/11/2023 13:07

@Sskanf I would think your DLA should be in tomorrow or Wednesday latest then? Maybe even today after 5pm as sometimes that happens. They did tell me 3-5 days for that backdate.
Also UC have just noted my journal and said the backdated UC elements have been processed and will be a separate payment and in my bank on Wednesday 😊
