Oh my gosh! I literally have just woken up to my daughter’s award being accepted!! She is ASD and has hearing impairment as well as severe learning delay. Our scan date was 20th July. Seriously happy for this news as I honestly thought reading other people’s news she would be declined.
i checked my bank not sure what award as yet but will wait for our letter to come.

WhereDidTheTimeGo888 · 24/11/2023 06:35

@Mummyrach13 thank you. I can’t face ringing them and waiting on that phone for hours. I’ll just send it in and keep everything crossed. X

Krys83 · 24/11/2023 06:51

@Emsale83 My scan date is the 31/7 too!!! My girl is the same. She is 6 and has an ASD diagnosis and possible ADHD. We are waiting for our local CAMHS for an assessment date quite delayed in my area. She also has EHCP and has almost 30 hours on hers. She is a handful and her mainstream school struggles with her. I have had to collect her once or twice because they couldn't get her to settle down. She currently has sleep issues as well. I have 2 boys 12 and 10 who have ASD who are non verbal and have significant developmental delays and they sometimes are easier than her. I love my babies though lol. I'm so happy someone has the same date as me. Hopefully we here something soon.

Krys83 · 24/11/2023 06:55

@BlueyMinicooperSD Congrats!!

KayUMB · 24/11/2023 07:11

Hi, does anyone know how long it is currently taking for renewals? I only sent my daughters off this week so I know its a long wait. My son finally got awarded in October after May scan date, but I was just wondering if renewals took as long as a new claim or if they are quicker? My daughters ends in February but im worrying i haven't sent it off quick enough for it be be finalised by then.
Thankyou

mumtumok · 24/11/2023 07:51

@KayUMB I think from what I’ve read on here… renewals are being done closer to the date they are due to expire. But I’m not 100% I’ve never done one x

MangoPepsiLover · 24/11/2023 08:18

Anyone from around 19th July still not heard anything?

Trying to prepare myself for a decline and a fight given so many dates have heard today.

Congrats to the people who have been awarded and good luck for people who haven't.I have a meeting at 10 with local council amd school so discuss my daughters needs
Iv sent off a supporting letter from the dr this morning and hopeing the report from teh meeting is dine fast and I have time to send it off also

MangoPepsiLover · 24/11/2023 09:23

@sabz300 @Rocketlollies2 hopefully ours are with the same DM then and we hear soon, it's torture waiting especially as work want me to confirm my January hours now. I think I'm going to prepare for a decline and accept the extra hours then can always cut down at Easter when it's reviewed if in the unlikely event she gets DLA.

mumtumok · 24/11/2023 09:25

to the people that have been awarded with suspected ASD. What evidence did you send in. Did you do sleep diary’s ?

Hardingcl · 24/11/2023 09:45

Good luck everyone!

Who else has been awarded recently for 2 years? I'm thinking of renewal at least we will all be in the same position next time xxx

Looloo12332 · 24/11/2023 09:47

All I have sent in is my DD’s report from the paediatrician outlining the problems she faces and what support she needs. I sent in her SALT report too in addition to this.

No sleep diaries or meal time diaries though! Never thought of that! She’s a good sleeper to be fair, but meal times are a very different story. 😖

Looloo12332 · 24/11/2023 09:48

No sleep diary's

mumtumok · 24/11/2023 10:00

Thank you ladies. I sent in this CDC report , his echp, report from SNHV & a report from his play group and some extra pages I write up myself He’s only 3 so won’t be eligible for mobility as he wouldn’t get high rate but I’m hoping MRC. He has ‘obsessive tendencies & behaviours that affect daily life. Without too much info he attempts to go through all bins in search of a certain label that may be on a bottle or raw meat packaging. He also has aggressive and violent outbursts without any warning. I haven’t found the trigger as it seems it can rage from smell touch sound anything! My other son I can only send in his report for CDC when I receive it he just turnt 2 but it’s obvious he’s quite severe. He spins (all the time) so I cannot leave him a split second he flaps and aggressively rocks back and forth constantly and his eyes move a lot almost like he’s rolling him eyes at you. He has no balance or coordination. He has no eye contact and no understanding. He sleeps terribly and has a very limited diet, he’s still breastfed due to it being the only proper nutrition and it’s the only time he can be still and calm.so I’m hoping HRC but I understand that’s difficult to get with barley any evidence. My boys are a lot of work but I love them so much, I just hope they get rewarded it would make such a difference to their lives it really would

mumtumok · 24/11/2023 10:02

He also roams of a night time with his go to place being the bathroom and running the taps. Which is obviously so scary. My mind don’t switch of even when I’m sleeping I’m not really sleeping because I’m so worried. 😧

Vampiredette84 · 24/11/2023 10:22

Well I’ve just got through on the phone after being on hold over an hour . Scan date was 28/7 man said should go to dm Monday yeah we’ll see ay

crazytimes20 · 24/11/2023 10:26

@Vampiredette84 I feel like they are just sprouting rubbish at this point. None of them tell us the same thing. I'm 25/7...not heard anything yet but I'm thinking the beginning of December. Good luck. Hope you hear soon.
