Emma2345 · 22/11/2023 13:11

@Looloo12332 Thankyou for replying, that’s made me feel more better now sometimes you don’t no weather the information is enough or too much.

Looloo12332 · 22/11/2023 13:14

Yes I know what you mean @Emma2345 ur little one sounds like the money could be a big help.I got through today im at 14 weeks they told me another 4 weeks yet

Looloo12332 · 22/11/2023 13:15

@Kks2909 congrats so happy for you I hope you got the rate your little one deserves

Mummynic725 · 22/11/2023 13:23

got through said it’s with CM now but should find out tomorrow or the next day CM don’t make the decisions do they ? Don’t it need to go to a DM after which then would be longer than 2 days am I right ?
scan date 19/07

mumtumok · 22/11/2023 13:31

I think because they are so backed up case managers are making decisions too. I could be wrong but I’m sure I’ve seen people get decisions with case managers too x

LollyRiv · 22/11/2023 13:41

@MammyAng84 my Son's scan date is 21/07. I rang up yesterday and the lady wouldn't tell me anything so rang this morning and it's still not with DM.
I'm sure we will here soon 🤞 x

MangoPepsiLover · 22/11/2023 13:50

Now think I'm definitely a decline given people on my scan date (19/07) have had texts/back pay and I've had nothing and the man yesterday said I may not get a text.

I will go through MR if I get the chance but I'm not hopeful, been here before and they upheld decision maker i.e. we didn't get DLA. It's so hard as I needed that money but I'll just have to up my hours and save save save until I can get DD the diagnosis privately. Might take me years though.

Emma2345 · 22/11/2023 13:50

@Looloo12332 yes it really would be a massive help to us it’s constant with him he takes all clothes off and nappy and wees all over house, flooring is ruined because it’s lifting due to this and sofa because it’s so often now even cleaning it doesn’t get rid of the smell so It all needs replacing again he is so high sensory that he doesn’t like any clothes or anything he tries stripping off on the bus and nursery the money would help massively with replacing things and broken items as he throws objects and smashes things by doing this I’m 3 tv’s down because of it,, it’s just the anxiety of the wait times its just horrible, i think it’s more the possibility of being turned down that puts me on edge,,, I hope your wait isn’t too long now and you get what your entitled to x

Looloo12332 · 22/11/2023 13:55

@Emma2345 sounds like my son he despots the house and smashes up tvs ipads/nintendos ect. This claim ks fir my daughter who is going down ADHD pathway in school no evidence sent not really so I'm expecting a decline I have asked on the form that they contact the school

Sabz30 · 22/11/2023 13:58

@MangoPepsiLover I’m the 19th and haven’t heard anything yet. I called yesterday afternoon to be told it was a DM.
DONT give up hope x

MammyAng84 · 22/11/2023 13:59

Hoping we just sat in a pile together with a Dm that works part time or has a complicated case before us xx

Anniemumof3 · 22/11/2023 14:00

@MangoPepsiLover so does it go to case manager then decision maker do you know? Xx

Mojo161989 · 22/11/2023 14:01

Does anyone know how long an MR will take? Xox

MammyAng84 · 22/11/2023 14:02

Sure someone commented saying 4-5 weeks atm xx

Linacre96 · 22/11/2023 14:02

Hello someone said there’s were 13th and got awarded today so hopefully you hear this week

Emma2345 · 22/11/2023 14:06

@Looloo12332 its nice to no someone else is going thru the same thing too and I’m not on my own sometimes I feel like I’m failing because it’s so hard to deal with I’ve got 2 autistic brothers so I thought I’d deal with it very well but it’s nothing like having your own autistic child and dealing with it all by yourself I’m just glad it’s finally been picked up I’ve said this since he was a baby and raised my concerns as he never smiled wouldn’t interact or give eye contact didn’t crawl till 13 months old and didn’t walk till 18 months old he just constantly screamed all the time and covered his ears I was told all this is normal in a baby I new deep down it wasn’t and school said last year they didn’t see anything but this year they’ve agreed he was masking it all along in school and now they 100% believe he is autistic too with how high sensory he is and doesn’t interact and biting and hitting hates loud noises covers ears excetra it just feels like a massive weight has been lifted and it’s not just me imagining it was now I just feel like I’m gonna have to fight DLA too x

Sskanf · 22/11/2023 14:10

Yes it does sound good. Is he currently under SEN this sounds very much like my almost 4 year old I had the SENCO lead from the council also come to assess my child as nursery
He is practically non verbal, will attempt to bite others hik self will squeeze hard due to sensory needs. Will constantly smell me, will chew on clothes constantly peel skin around his nails, will put his hands on his ears too when there's loud noise. Won't allow me to brush his teeth, cut nails gets dysregulated often

Will break things out of frustration
, the school SENCO also filled out similar to what u have and my son was awarded last week @Emma2345

Sskanf · 22/11/2023 14:15

@Emma2345 your boy sounds soo much like my boy and it is hard when it's yiyr child and u have to take care of them 24hours a day, hes a delightful boy otherwise and so relieved i was awarded to get him the support needed as i know he has so much to offer. I've always known something was off also. He has started stripping his clothes too now and also taking his nappy off so have to constantly supervise him he screams a lot too. He has a very limited diet as he can't hardly certain textures and smells he will vomit everywhere. I've still got him in a buggy aswel as he will run in the road or throw himself on the floor when dysregulated.
I only sent in the report from school SENCO and I was awarded

Emma2345 · 22/11/2023 14:19

@Sskanf hi he is not currently under senco I don’t think he is only in sure start Nursey which is based inside the actual school he is on SEND register but I’m unsure if senco are involved at this age as he isn’t technically in proper nursery until 3 years old he also isn’t as bad in Nursey as he is at home he has bitten a few children and staff members and hit them as well as push them he does cover his ears with loud noises doesn’t interact or communicate excetra but at home he is 1000 times worse he breaks & smashes things bits kicks head buts you name it he does it doesn’t really eat much at all tries to unlock doors and escape attacks his younger brother and older sister who are 1 and 4 doesn’t sleep at all if he does it’s for an hour or 2 then wakes up screaming and won’t go back to sleep strips off anywhere we are he is slowly showing all these things in school sensory is a regular thing and ear covering but screaming and being physically violent isn’t as common their yet as at home it’s just once a day he does 4 full days where as at home it’s multiple times a day every day so I’m unsure weather he will be under school senco yet until it does get worse or until he is in proper nursery not quite sure how it all works any advice would be much appreciated as the school senco said they don’t even supply ear defenders for him I have to buy them myself where as my friends school suplied them for her little one with possible asd x

Raych1989 · 22/11/2023 14:20

@Mummyrach13 just a quick question. I've finally had a response from universal credit which says it has now been sent to a decison maker to make a decision on back payment. Do u have an idea how long that takes? I'm not holding out any hope considering it's taken nearly 3 weeks for that message 😔

Emma2345 · 22/11/2023 14:24

@Sskanf everything your little one is doing is the same as mine he used to as a baby wrap my hair around his hands and fingers tight and sniff it all night I had to stay in the same position in bed couldn’t move or roll over or take my hair back 😂 if I did he would wake up and have a severe meltdown he watches the same thing Constantly on repeat and will use words but have no concept of what they mean can’t tell me he is thirsty or hungry and yes my little one is in a buggy still too as he has no danger awareness and is physically violent to anyone near him we travel by bus so I have to keep him in pram as he will attack anyone sat near him made that mistake once as he was sat on my knee and bit a lady who sat next to us x

Mommyof42021 · 22/11/2023 14:27

Hi I’m not sure if people are seeing my messages but I am also waiting on a MR I sent my letter 4 weeks ago and still never heard anything x

Emma2345 · 22/11/2023 14:27

@Raych1989 hi i got awarded for my son in July and rang UC and updated them with rates excetra within a week UC had backdated my money just keep messaging on journal about backdated money it was pretty quick for me but I have seen some people have waited months for theirs x

Raych1989 · 22/11/2023 14:32

@Emma2345 Thank you. I have kept messaging and ended up ringing today saying I've had no update or responses apart from a couple of days after my first message telling me be patient they are busy. I explained I'm happy to be patient but would like an update. Got a message back on journal a couple of hours ago stating its now been sent to decision maker so I'm hoping it's not weeks 😫😫
