I’m 20th & still not with Dm

I'm 25/7 and still waiting. Not called them or anything as I know they'll only tell me to wait nearer the 18wk mark. I'm hoping I hear something next week at the latest.

I'm going to wait for the letter before I let uc know do I have to claim careres allowance or can I just update them for the child element?

Your text dates are both the same as mine. Scan date 07/09 so not far behind you. Still feels like such a long wait ahead doesn’t it? 😩

Has anyone heard from a COC in June my scan date 22nd June I rang Monday they said 24 week wait should hear in couple weeks currently get MRC but she’s 5 next month so I put it in June due to waiting time im hoping for a good outcome

@Sskanf yeah carers element and carers allowance are 2 different things. If you don’t know you don’t know. Without this group I wouldn’t have known to claim any UC element. They should backdate them both though don’t worry. Carers allowance won’t get you any extra money no, I’ve heard the only positive is NI contributions or something but I don’t know much about it as I don’t qualify with earnings above the threshold for it.

You do not need to get carers allowance to get carers element they told you wrong

@brokenbitbybit my scan date is 25/08. Same text dates 31/10 and 21/11 I was told 19.5 weeks when I rang in September

Can I join please. My scan date is 24/6 . Called last week she said it's been picked up and should have decision by end of month I'm worried it taking too long it will get turned down again. I had to do a MR to finally get accepted for LRC and lrm. But my son now has a bipap machine at night so feel he should at least qualify for MRC. Congrats on all who has been awarded so far.

@MumofIsabelle yeah Thankyou. I was just explaining the difference between carers E and A. @Sskanf was asking about the carer element and not the allowance as they hadn’t asked for it with UC backdate due to confusion between the two.
CA is a totally separate benefit and only applicable to some and you don’t need it to get CE you’re right. But you do need to earn under a certain amount a week to get CA and it is taken off your UC. Not an option for me and not right for a lot of people but good for some with budgeting. x

Hello been reading these threads for a while, scan date 19/07 is there anyone else that is still waiting with the same scan date as me ?

also I’ve applied for DLA for my daughter as she has albinism and nystagmus her vision is 6/60 in both eyes currently under SIS and just been put forward for ot assessment she will be 3 this weekend and it’s my first time applying has anyone applied and been accepted for the same condition?

I too have been quietly sitting in the background reading all of the comments over the past few weeks!
My scan date is 3/8 I phoned on Monday and spoke to a lovely bloke who told me that I should have a decision by 28th November. I know very specific - we will see.

I’m 28/09 and 30/10 however … I sent both applications at the exact same time so not sure whether to call them and ask why one of them is 30/10 ?? But

Hey been watching this thread for a few days decided so join in the nervous wait! Our scan date is 1/8 so waiting to hear just hoping I’ve done my boy justice on the forms and the dm is feeling kind on the day 😅 anyone else this date?

Scan date 19/7 woken up with a pending balance in my account, I think MRC / LRM! Yey

I didn’t receive a text message of award but when I rang Monday it had gone to the DM.

@HelloNeighbour2021 hey I’m same scan date as you also waiting for back pay, mines £1720 for mrc and lrm is that the same as yours pending? Its got the £10 Christmas bonus on it

I am in hampshire - no idea if location has anything to do with it?
I have a feeling mine could possibly be a decline even though I gave lots of evidence, we shall see. Good luck x
