If payment was issued today would we get it fri? X
Im assuming once award has been made, back payment is issued by a BACS which is 3/5 working days, today would count as day one so possibly receive payment Thursday but they do give the 5 day threshold to cover any delays ie which bank your with and how quick they process a BACS .

18 weeks on Thursday coming last text 16th October expecting a refusal now tbh fingers crossed it’s not hate ringing rang twice n the were lovely but hate to bug them but just want to know either way now tbh

I'm another who has been watching for a while, and woke up to a back payment pending this morning. No text or letter about the decision but maths says likely MRC & LRM, which seems sensible for the needs.

Got another application with scan date 25/07, still waiting to hear. Had 2 texts and 2 letters for that one as well.

Ahh honestly try not to worry, it seriously sounds like a cock up on DWP’s end!

I’m pretty sure that they can’t just end an award mid way (unless someone does a COC and the award is completely taken away) especially if he was only awarded last week. I don’t think it’d be anything like that, someone’s just shit at their job!

If you can try and get through to DLA sometime this week, I’m sure that’ll give you a bit of peace of mind until you have the appointment with UC. Don’t quote me but I really think it’ll all be a simple mistake that’s an easy fix🤞🏾

@Rebeccanew absolutely dreadful I'm not even bothering about my back pay atm from them! I'm more concerned that my monthly statement was so wrong so I'm hundreds down this month just to live on! I reported ny earning being more than double on my statement than I actually earn on the 10th November and still nothing!! I'm so stressed 😅🤣 how you getting on xxx

As always, sorry to hear about the declines today. Everyone with a decline should try and request a MR because at least then your claim will get given to a different DM. A fresh pair of eyes can make all the difference but I understand it’s all quite stressful so it makes sense if you don’t have any fight left in you.

For those that get a disappointing award (or no award at all) from the MR, pls do not think twice to take it all the way and go to tribunal. I’m currently taking my LA to tribunal and despite it all being quite stressful, there really is no one else to advocate for my daughter! We shouldn’t have to put up such a fight for our children to get support but the system is a mess. Sending well wishes to everyone who’s dealing with a decline and the rest of us who are still waiting for a response.

Ohh lord @Tmxx so is everything sorted as of now or? Ohh they don’t seem to be helping or on form do they…takes weeks for UC to sort…if ring them lovely if your down hun….I just got told it’s going to a decision maker they sent that yesterday so just waiting to hear back xxxxxxx

@Clairexdx congratulations on your award!! That’s brilliant. I am due my UC backdate tomorrow. I updated Friday. Accepted Monday. Note to say you will be paid Wednesday 22nd. The guy who noted the journal didn’t say 3-5 days or bacs schedule. He gave me a specific date so it must only take 48 hours once processed ? 🤷🏻‍♀️

it will be a separate payment and will be in your account on 22/11/2023.

How long are the decisions after the second text usually?

I'm panicking because when I applied I had no additional information. She hadn't yet started nursery (2 years 6 months). She started nursery in Sept and already has been granted inclusion funding following reports from nursery, observation and panel hearing. Had her first paediatric appointment the consultant told me to expect a diagnosis of Autism, Learning difficulties and Pica. Consultant has sent a referral of high level SEND to the local authority. Do you think I should call and inform them of all that has happened since the application was completed? Or wait and see what their decision is?

I'm new to this all and already feel overwhelmed having been declined the referral to OT. Sorry for the paragraph 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

they are currently sat at around 18 weeks from scan date, slowly seeing 17-20th July getting decisions now

@Keddie thats so gutting make sure u do a MR get a detailed breakdown of why it was declined. A fresh pair of eyes will get a look at ur claim and most likely will award don't give up hope x

@Clairexdx I have received a msg back from a CM to receive the child disability element today.

@Jude82 I didn't realise I needed to put down I'm a carer as I didn't want to receive carers allowance as I was told it gets deducted £ for £ from UC. The adviser told me I won't receive carers element until ive updated this so did this today 🤦‍♀️

Nope not sorted! I rang on the 10th originally to tell them it was wrong and I rang tonight for any updates and they said that they haven't heard back from the earnings dispute team and they have no time limit on when they will! All whilst I'm about 400 pounds down! So haven't even questioned backpay yet for dla 🤣🤣 that's amazing I actually got told mine would be going to a decision maker 2 days after making my changes so the 15th but still nothing yet! It all takes so long its driving me mad! Xxx

My brain has a habit of jumping to the worst conclusions unfortunately 🙈 yeah I think I'll try and give DLA a ring tomorrow just to ease my mind a bit deffo.
