How on earth do you all manage to get through on the phone??? Is there a cheeky little trick?

I've been trying for WEEKS because I work full time and can't stay on hold for hours sob

1st time I've rang was waiting an hour and 10 mins x
I just had it on speaker while I made lunch read to the kids etc....

HomeEdmumof7 · 20/11/2023 15:28

Tammie23 · 20/11/2023 15:17

@HomeEdmumof7 so we are looking at roughly 20 week mark then aren't we x

I'm. Hoping that's worst case and it will be more like 18wks max.... Will make such a difference to everyone's Christmas if we get good news.

Asdmummyhere · 20/11/2023 15:31

@Mummyrach13 glad you've finally heard something and it's a step in the right direction. I've still had no reply to my messages. Hopefully u don't have to wait too long x

Tmxx · 20/11/2023 15:41

@Mummyrach13 how long did you wait to receive that message!? Xxx

Mummyrach13 · 20/11/2023 15:41

@Asdmummyhere that took 3 weeks to get that letter hopefully the next one won’t be as long now. Hope yours is soon x

@Jude82 @Mummyrach13 just a quick question I've phoned DLA twice and they've given me a backdate date of 21st June however my scan date was 12/07. I've put this on my journal however I don't wabt it to be an incorrect date. What dates were you given

Sskanf · 20/11/2023 15:48

I just dont want to make sure I'm not giving a much earlier date to UC

RosiesMummyx · 20/11/2023 15:49

14/7 here and nothing yet 😩 been with a decision maker since Weds

Billie1993 · 20/11/2023 15:55

@Mummyrach13 yaay hopefully you don’t have to wait much longer now hun and you’ll have your back dated pay from them I’ve worked it out after speaking to others it normally takes roughly 1 month or just slightly before that so after seeing you’ve revived that letter hopefully you’ll have it soon or within the week

Jude82 · 20/11/2023 16:00

@Sskanf you get a backdate from the date you rang for the forms. My scan date was 27/07 but I’m getting backdate from DLA and UC to 19/06 when I first rang them. So yeah it will be the June date for you too for both DLA and UC x

Sskanf · 20/11/2023 16:02

@Jude82 ok thank you so much for replying

Amy92x · 20/11/2023 16:03

Does anyone know how long till it goes to a decision maker once its in the holding pile?

Clairexdx · 20/11/2023 16:07

I literally can’t stand the waiting around now. 18.5 weeks. Scan 14/7 and last text 9/10. I just want to know either way 😩😩

politics31 · 20/11/2023 16:13

I finally got through to a really lovely lady. A decision was made yesterday and my son was awarded MRC but no mobility so I'm going to do an MR for that. Only a two year award so I'll be back then!

Scan date was 17/7 and it was awarded at 17weeks 6days, I had to call to find out and didn't get a text.

Good luck to everyone waiting, I'm hoping for great outcomes for you all 😄

Binks90 · 20/11/2023 16:17

I'm on hold now hopefully get through soon been 35 mins so far lol I need to no think we've all waited long enough now

Sskanf · 20/11/2023 16:18

@Rebeccanew yeah they can be. No message was responded to on mu journal however, the adviser said she will notify a CM to look at my journal and I should get a response tomorrow by 6pm

Sskanf · 20/11/2023 16:19

@Clairexdx that's ridiculous can't believe yiur still waiting u were in the thread with me from 12/07 I waited 18 weeks and had a decision. Hope you hear back soon keep calling

MumofIsabelle · 20/11/2023 16:31

first date will be when you requested the forms x

Mummyrach13 · 20/11/2023 16:32

@Sskanf yes it’s to the date it’s backdated, mine is the 10th June.
@Raych1989, @Asdmummyhere, @Tmxx I’ve had my backpay letter now thankfully, I did apply for Carers allowance too so whatever I get from them I will owe back to UC x

Jude82 · 20/11/2023 14:20

@Asdmummyhere @MinnieL thanks for your responses. I think I just need to chill, UC have just explained on another journal note to me that it’s because I was awarded 0 UC in May-June due to my husbands annual work bonus 🤭🫣

🤣 haha okay good. As long as they’re not under paying you then perfect. It’s annoying that you can’t go back and check your previous statements as they amend them! Glad you got an answer though

Asdmummyhere · 20/11/2023 16:46

@Mummyrach13 so glad you're all sorted finally. I'll keep you updated if I hear anything. I may give them a call tomorrow just to chase it up x

Sockbabies · 20/11/2023 17:07

I received my back pay for caring element but still awaiting child disability backdate and they haven't included the child disability on my statement for this month either. Xx

4girlsnahubby · 20/11/2023 17:16

@Mummyof5kiddos I'm waiting from the 17th
