DLA Wait times part 20… (2023)

Following on from part 19 as it’s about to become full.

It really seems awfully quiet today maybe decisions being made today they don’t have the text facilities xxxxx

@Mummyrach13 I had the strangest thing on my uc journal today
I didn't get a letter type document I just had a message saying "hi we've allowed the backpay date for element to 19th June for start of my assessment period and my case manager will update my award soon to see if any payment is outstanding to pay"

I've had to reply asking why it isn't in a formal letter makes no sense now I don't know whether that means her backpay is accepted etc.

Scan date buddy 😁😁 I'm also 26/7 the wait is getting worse the closer it's getting! Hopefully we will have a decision soon

@Asdmummyhere yea asked for back pay and they said something about verifying children (despite my kids being on claim since I opened it).

Just on hold now but it keeps cutting me off 😩

Any one had any luck with back pay from universal credit? How long did it take to be with a dm?

@Sockbabies oh I've not had that message. I'm not sure I've even seen one person on here who has actually received the backpay yet x

I see. I think I'll give it to Friday and chase again. Ridiculous as if I owed them I'm sure they would be quick to chase me xx

Regarding uc...... I was awarded mrc on friday but found out yesterday I updated my journal, I done the change of circumstances and put a note to work coach (I don't personally have one) and I put one under payment, my assessment date ends today, I had a message back first thing this morning saying they have added my carers element onto my claim so the money will be on my statement but the disability element needs verifying and they will update my journal as soon as and she also said she has forwarded my request for back pay for both carers and disability element. Hope this helps someone as to maybe do what I did?

Just had notification that my extra evidence has been signed for, just need to wait for it to be scanned on as already with a CM will chase again tomorrow and update ! Fingers crossed its not a decline x

@Sockbabies they did the verification for my kids too only took 2 hours. Think it's standard practice. They take the mick xx

I've asked again this morning if it's been done as I reported it and they told me about verification on 3rd. Xx

Just going to join the thread. Scan date 28/7 last text 23/10. Currently on hold for an update.

Anyone waiting on COC? Just interested in dates etc the wait is so long

@Mommaof2babas when you say verifying the disability element…how do UC verify that? Do you have to wait for the DLA letter to upload the verification of the DLA to your journal? or can UC just check you were awarded with DWP the same way they check income with HMRC each month?

Just got off the phone been awarded HRC and LRM. I'm so happy. Im still intrigued as to why the DM phone though but guess ill never know now. Thanks everyone for keeping me going while waiting and I hope you all get awarded soon.

Anybody with scan date 14/7 had any news today. Ive tried to call but constantly cut of. Will try at 9 in the morning.

@Jude82 I'm guessing they just do it over there system? They haven't asked for a letter to be shown not that I've received it anyway, I got told it can take upto 2 weeks for the award letter to arrive so I think it all will system based
