I’m same dates as you last text was 16th October fingers crossed we hear something soon and it be good news

Rosegoldsunshine88 · 13/11/2023 20:21

@WhereDidTheTimeGo888 I have applied for my 13 year old in mainstream school, she is not formally diagnosed but has seen an emotional health worker who noticed autistic traits, along with a whole range of complex needs, I’ve sent no evidence in really, after today I’m not feeling confident so I’m preparing myself for an MR, it’s awful that we have to wait all this time and someone can decide whether our kids are worthy or not, I wish you well with your claim, I’m 13/7

Sskanf · 13/11/2023 20:23

@Mojo161989 I would call tomorrow if I were you

Rebeccanew · 13/11/2023 20:24

i will be calling tomorrow
good luck everyone
I’ll keep yous all posted xxxx

Xsam1985x · 13/11/2023 20:25

Thanks for the new thread.
I am in utter shock, on Friday we was awarded for my younger son (nearly 3, nonverbal with suspected asd and gdd) scan date for his was the 7th July… didn’t receive a text I just called for an update as was at 18 weeks.
Then this morning a DM called me for more information regarding my older sons form (11, diagnosed ADHD and assessing for Asd) which only had a scan date of 27th July, anyway around an hour later through popped a text to say they had decided child qualifies, called and he was awarded HRC and LRM. I’m honestly gobsmacked but so so happy my boys are getting what they deserve and we can afford to get all the things they need and go the places they like now and not worry when my older son smashes yet another tablet or controller 🤦‍♀️ I am only just applying for both as I wasn’t even aware of DLA until my little boys portage worker said I needed to apply. Good luck and everything crossed for you all still waiting 😊 xx

WhereDidTheTimeGo888 · 13/11/2023 20:25

@Rosegoldsunshine88 i think by the sounds of it, it’s just luck if you get someone who’s kind and maybe has an idea what life can be like. It’s one of those things that no one can truly understand unless they live the life. I’ve got everything crossed that you get awarded. Xx

Xsam1985x · 13/11/2023 20:27

@WhereDidTheTimeGo888 My 11 year old who is diagnosed adhd and assessing for ASD is in mainstream school, no EHCP in place as his primary wasn’t great and he has just been awarded HRC and LRM x

Mdavies2023 · 13/11/2023 20:29

@WhereDidTheTimeGo888 aww I know I think I went overkill with whatever evidence I could get my hands on I threw in probably some of it is irrelevant haha seen lots of people be awarded by just being concise and only couple bits of evidence so don't go off of me saying 30 pages haha, praying we all get our answers soon it's consuming my brain the waiting!

Mummyrach13 · 13/11/2023 20:30

Good luck ladies! I’m routing for you all! I love how we can all support each other and help through the hideous wait! Xx

@WhereDidTheTimeGo888 thank you, yes I think it is and it is definitely one of those things that you have to live through this to truly understand, it’s extremely hard and have definitely had some low days it’s never easy but we somehow keep going, thank you and good luck with yours xx

Mdavies2023 · 13/11/2023 20:31

@Xsam1985x congratulations! Brilliant news for you!

WhereDidTheTimeGo888 · 13/11/2023 20:34

@Xsam1985x ah congratulations! Gives me hope for my son x

Tmxx · 13/11/2023 20:35

Parking here just to watch progress of other ladies around my scan date that have supported me with the whole wait 🥰🥰 good luck ladies hoping loads of awards for you all tomorrow xxx

WhereDidTheTimeGo888 · 13/11/2023 20:36

It does seem a bit random from reading what people have sent in. I’ve seen people be declined and when they’ve said why they applied, I’ve been shocked they didn’t get awarded.

well done on your award, bet you’re relieved. X

LollyRiv · 13/11/2023 20:38

Parking here 🙂. Scan date 21/07. Last text received 16th October. Patiently waiting... well trying! 🙈 x

Jude82 · 13/11/2023 19:47

@Mrsstephens04 yet someone today has been awarded with 27/07 date so he can’t know that without taking your details. Don’t let that put you off calling again and hopefully getting someone more compassionate

Thank you, I was thinking of ringing again tomorrow but it literally would be my luck I'd get the same bloke answer again 🤣🤣 I've seen a few awards from the 27/7 on here and Facebook and a couple jn early Aug. It makes no sense

crazytimes20 · 13/11/2023 21:29

Thanks for the new thread. Scan date 25/7, last txt was 23/10, yorkshire. Applied for my 9 year old autistic son. Patiently waiting...16 weeks tomorrow. Starting to drag pretty bad now. Good luck everyone.

Emma461 · 13/11/2023 21:41

My daughter had an ILP (individual learning plan) but this wasn't enough, after 3 years of struggling in mainstream ( Covid held us back) I requested an EHCP from the local authority and the school provided all the details of support they'd given and my daughter was finally awarded an EHCP (July ) and has just received a placement in a setting that's perfect for her and with one to one support. Not many parents are aware they can request the EHCP so thought I'd bring it to your attention just incase :)

Jaffacakesrlife · 13/11/2023 21:42

Good Luck like myself still waiting. hopefully we get some good news soon x

They will ask your reference number (will be on the letter saying they received your forms) then ask your child's name and your name then questions for security purposes, ie what bank you bank with, address and postcode etc.. xxx
