@Jaysworld I'm so sorry yours was a decline! The wait times for a Mr is 4 weeks so I've seen, I know you've waited this long for your decision and waiting another 4 weeks is all your need but you wouldn't of applied if you didn't think your child needed it, a different person might think differently and change the first decision! I would definitely fight for what you believe! Please keep us updated!

Hardingcl · 17/11/2023 12:22

I called this morning the lady was so unhelpful. Scan date 18/7 said give it until the end of the .month! I said I wish all the call handlers would say the same thing!

Mumma3girls · 17/11/2023 12:26

@Mrsstephens04@crazytimes20 ive just got off the phone (90min!) however the lovely lady I got has said it’s been allocated for someone to look at- they have 15 given at a time so depends on where I am in that pile of 15 as to when I hear… but at least I know it’s moving in the right direction…
scan date 26/7

crazytimes20 · 17/11/2023 12:26

@Mrsstephens04 oh thanks for the update 😊.
Fingers crossed we hear some news in the next week or so. I'll ring next week and see what they say to me. I hope they get through July fairly quickly then.

Jude82 · 17/11/2023 12:42

@Laniewith3boys I said the same about a portal. If it was more like UC Atleast we could note our journal with requests for updates or put on any extra information we need to add. It’s so old school having to send it all snail mail and paper format and then having to sit on hold for hours on the phone.
@Jaysworld I’m so sorry 😢 I know it’s disheartening but you’ve come this far. It’s draining and it is awful but a MR would mean another DM would look at it with a fresh set of eyes and it may change the outcome. 🙏🏻

crazytimes20 · 17/11/2023 12:54

@Mumma3girls that's good news!!! I won't have time to ring today but I am tempted!! Think I'll ring Monday. Fingers crossed for us.

Mummyof5kiddos · 17/11/2023 12:55

Hey all, I was just wondering how many people are on here from 17/7 to 21/7 week and how many are still waiting before this week?

Mumof4xox · 17/11/2023 12:58

my sons claim was scanned 17/07. Phoned this morning and was told it would go to a DM in the next few days

Jude82 · 17/11/2023 13:33

@Mummyof5kiddos by the comments on here it looks as though that week of scanned dates are taking ages. I mean how have so many 27 and 28/07 dates been awarded when so many people are still waiting from 10 or 11 days prior to that. It makes no sense 🤷🏻‍♀️

Mumof4xox · 17/11/2023 13:48

It makes no sense it ridiculous and frustrating x

DLAdespair · 17/11/2023 13:48

my scan date was 7 august. just had a letter to say child has been refused. i am stunned as he has a debilitating chronic condition that he needs help with on a daily basis that has turned our lives upside down. it's not a well understood condition but i included a lot of information regarding it.
i will appeal but can anyone point me in the right direction to get advice or tips on how to approach the appeal?

Billie1993 · 17/11/2023 09:17

@Keddie & @Pumpkins3 and anyone else around the same scan date of 11/7-14/7 I’m hoping you guys get the news you’re hoping for today 🩷

@Pumpkins3 definitely call hun

I am the 14th rang yesterday still with the DM

Mumma3girls · 17/11/2023 13:55

After my call this lunchtime, I’ve just been awarded! Got the text through.
not going to call again today though for rates as I can’t cope with it twice in one day.
I'm so relieved, I’ve fought so hard to get my girl some help. This really is going to help her so much! 16w2d wait
scan date 26/7
last text 23/10
good luck to those still waiting x

Bambi91 · 17/11/2023 13:58

I posted yesterday after being awarded my letter says my scan date was the 27/7 my second text was the 9/10 I rang this morning to find out what I was awarded and my actual scan date was the 14/7 not sure how they got it wrong so that might be why some later dates are popping up seemed there was a mistake on there part

So sorry to hear this. When you say you included a lot of information, do you mean leaflets etc about the condition? If so, they don't take these into consideration and they aren't read at all. (Mistake I made during PIP application - I have a rare genetic condition)

I know it takes more energy than you have and I also know how horrible and personal it feels, but definitely do a MR.

TheRBC · 17/11/2023 14:06

I posted back on thread 18 I think it was but then life got crazy, just been catching up.

@Mumma3girls that’s amazing news! I also have the same scan date and last text date as you so I am feeling more hopeful that my decision isn’t too far away.

I haven’t called or attempted to call as of yet and I don’t know if I want to, especially after reading how so many of you all have been spoken to. Keeping my fingers crossed for us all x

Jude82 · 17/11/2023 14:12

Just got the txt!! 🎉 He qualifies!! Not sure on rates but my son has been awarded! Over the moon! 27/07, txt dates 02/10 and 23/10, I’m in Newcastle. Rang yesterday and was with DM. I’m not ringing today to find out rates, don’t want to take the shine off the good news by sitting on hold for hours. As long as he gets something to help then I’m happy with that. I think he will be LRC but who knows. Thankyou so much to you all for the help and support! ❤️ 😊

Mammyto4c · 17/11/2023 14:12

Can someone tell me the difference between CM and DM av rang today and she's sed mines with CM and I should hear no later than the end of next week BTW av rang everyday this week and am not even sorry 😂 scan date 18/7

Jude82 · 17/11/2023 14:14

@Mumma3girls congratulations! Same last txt date as me 😊

Mdavies2023 · 17/11/2023 14:16

20/07 here rang yesterday said should go to dm next week 💀

Mrsstephens04 · 17/11/2023 14:19

@crazytimes20 @Mumma3girls I'm still totally going to ring up again next Friday when il be 17+2 this waiting with no news is exhausting 🙈

crazytimes20 · 17/11/2023 14:19

@Jude82 congratulations! Bet it feels nice that the wait is finally over 😊

Mumma3girls · 17/11/2023 14:20

@Jude82 congrats to you too!

I feel awful for those being declined who obviously deserve this too- the system is so wrong and unfair 😪

crazytimes20 · 17/11/2023 14:25

@Mrsstephens04 oh yeah for sure! I think it's disgusting the waiting times are terrible. Never known out like it. My mortgage was sorted sooner than this!! It's appalling.

I'm going to ring either Monday or Tuesday.

DLAdespair · 17/11/2023 14:27

@RainbowZebraWarrior

i was just really explicit on the form as to how the condition affects his life day to day by describing the symptoms and how i have to support him every day to manage them.

what does an MR mean?

the letter says to ring or write. can i just type a letter of appeal? i don't want to do anything over the phone as i don't trust how it will be documented
