DLA Wait times part 20… (2023)

Following on from part 19 as it’s about to become full.

Don’t be disheartened it’s not with a decision maker yet. I rang Wednesday (this week) at about 2pm and was told it wasn’t with a decision maker and it would in the next two weeks. I rang yesterday and was told a decision had been made the day before. The same day I was told it wasn’t with a decision maker yet!

Scan date 18.07 been told I should hav a decision by next week fingers crossed 🤞

I might have to ring 😂

Yes 100% it has gotten to have been looked at as I’m seeing 27/7 dates which are well after yours it doesn’t make any sense to me as to what DLA are doing with dates. I have absolutely everything crossed for you hun 🤞🏻

Anyone else try calling today? I've tried a few times getvall the way through the options and the call gets disconnected. 🙈

I've been following for ages but not posted. Scan date of 17/7. Just called and got through to a woman who said it's taking 17.5 weeks to go to DM and I'm on 16 (I told her she had miscounted but she insisted - I know she's wrong but never mind!). Apparently I'm not with a DM yet and will hear by mid December. All I wanted to know was if I'd been awarded yet so a longer wait yet for me! Good luck to anyone calling today, hopefully you get people more helpful than I did!

No news here. Woke up and checked bank but nothing and no txt as of yet. Called yesterday and was with DM so I was hoping not to have another weekend of waiting. Anyway good luck to everyone waiting and everyone calling today ❤️

So I somehow managed to get my scan date wrong and am actually 17/07 rather than 21/07 not a massive difference I know but over 17 weeks and had second text on 9/10 I’m in the kent area, anyone else in this area on a similar date with an update? I’m currently on hold trying to call through to find out what’s happening and I also have new evidence to add 🤞 they awnser before 10 as I have to go out 😬 good luck to everyone today xx

This is so frustrating I can't even phone to speak with someone the line keeps going dead after selecting all the options. 🤷‍♀️

my scan date is 28/7 I called yesterday around 1pm I was on hold for 90mins and told it will go to a DM around 17.5 weeks so I am looking around the 29/11 for it to go to a DM well done to everyone that got awarded yesterday 😀

@Krys83 im having the same issue, I’ve tried about 5 times and it keeps getting cut off after I go through all the options

I’ve got through the options but been on hold for an hour x it’s such a long frustrating process!

I’m currently on hold lol 14/7 18 weeks today. Last text 9/10. Lady yest wasn’t very nice so hoping for someone else haha x

@Billie1993 Yep totally confused with the dates. It’s truly bizarre how they’ve skipped to the 27th July. Obviously happy for anyone being awarded but I can’t make any sense of it or how they work it out. I’m going out shortly so I’ll give them a call this afternoon and hopefully I’ll have some news 🤞🏻 I’ll update as soon as I know x

Just called to check if they've received any of my evidence from school and diagnosis report gonna send ehcp paperwork too might aswell. They just take so long to even receive anything, havent received or scanned. The guy was very rude, he said I'm in the 5th holding pile I said what pile are they on at the moment and he said I can't possibly tell you that 😂 x

@Clairexdx congratulation on your award! Could I ask what area you are please as I’ve seen a range from 18-23 weeks, I just wondered if was to do with what area you live in? I’m currently on 15 weeks from scan date xx

DWP needs to come clean about how many desperate callers they deliberately disconnect

The answer revealed that in March 443,000 calls out of a total of 517,00 had been blocked by the DWP - almost nine in ten callers. The practice is known by the DWP as ‘call-blocking’ and means that the DWP does not allow the call to enter the call waiting queue because there are too many people in it already. Instead, the line simply gets cut-off.

@Sskanf @Mummyrach13 I just put under payment and work coach that the reason I am only updating it now instead of June is because the wait time is 17.5 weeks and I only found out the date I was awarded and that is the reason for the late change of circumstances! Hope this helps!x
