DLA Wait times part 20… (2023)

Following on from part 19 as it’s about to become full.

I'm 25/7.
2nd txt 23/10
Last time I phoned was back in August to see if they received my forms..was told it would be an 18 wks wait. I'm 17 wks on Tuesday. Going to ring next week.

@crazytimes20 we have the same scan date. I called in September and was told 18 weeks.

I think I’m just gonna leave everything for at least a week so I’ll b nearly 18 weeks by then as it’s slowly taking over my brain the closer I get & im starting to think it will be a decline & I’ll need to fight an mr :(

@Krys83 yeah, I'm going to ring around 17.5 wks I think. Seen a few be awarded after our date many of those are from the same area so not sure if that means out. Just want it over with. Fed up of waiting now.

I'm manchester and was awarded Tuesday scan date was 27/7.

Fingers crossed its funny how loads of 27/7 have been awarded but no dates like yours which is so close. Could be worth ringing for an update ypu never know you might of already been awarded.

19/7 here last text date 16/10, not going to call til Wednesday now when I’ll be 18 weeks

How do you know your scan date?

@crazytimes20 I'm in Hampshire. I am so over the waiting as well.

@Vikz37 im the same scan date as you, I’m greater Manchester. Iv not heard anything yet, but hoping too soon xx

@Rosylea123 when I called to make sure they received my forms back in September they told me the date it was scanned.

@Rosylea123 we received a letter saying they’ve received our forms and it was scan on such date

@Watso2408 There's been alot with our scan dates awarded definetly worth ringing if you can you never know you could have been awarded already. The DM phoned me Tuesday I missed the 2 calls as at work then 5 mins later I had a text to say my child had been awarded but I know not everyone gets a text. I was shocked it was so soon as I know others with dates a week or 2 before ours hadn't been awarded.

Thank you! I sent my forms at the end of July, had a text saying 'We are still looking at your DLA1 Child claim. When a decision is made we will confirm it in writing. There is no need to contact us about it.' On 23/10/2023 and 13/11/2023 but had no letter or anything

It's on the letter you receive to say they have recieved your claim.

@Vikz37 fingers crossed. Unfortunately I don’t have time to ring, I work in a school, so impossible to wait the looong times on hold . I’ll just have to wait for a text or letter xx

@Rosylea123 I think going on what I’ve seen by text dates your scan date must be the week of 14/8 and you should hear something the week of 18/12

Anyone waiting for a coc heard anything today at all?? I’m 9th June xx

@WhereDidTheTimeGo888 yes and my child was only diagnosed this summer due to her primary writing 3 incorrect facts ( fourth time lucky) so didn’t get the school to fill in. She recently got high rate care low mobility. She does not sleep and is under a urologist for night time accidents. To why she got high rate but confident she would have got middle on her other issues. My daughter has no learning difficulties but is being heavily supported with her anxiety in secondary and rerefferd to CAMHS. I didn’t really send a lot in from school but I sent a lot of medical reports.

Scan date- 14/07
1st text- 19/09
2nd text- 09/10
Also 2 letters
Rang 2nd Nov to be told 18 & half weeks
Will be 18 weeks today (Friday), debating another call to them

10 yo daughter on ADHD pathway, anxiety, sensory issues, chronic constipation, plantarfascitis in both feet and ongoing ankle issues. School not supportive, didn't send much evidence just GP list of ailments and showing her script for movicol, physio and rheumatology reports and letter saying accepted on pathway. I did put a good example of her days in but got a feeling I've not given enough evidence.

I've been relaxed past few weeks but now it's closer im so anxious hence why I'm awake at this time :->

@Mumzieof1 im same scan date and texts as you. I was told any time this week. I called today and still no news :/

Omg just woke up to a backpayment from DLA, I'm in shock! Working it out I think he's been awarded MRC and LRM.
I really thought I was going to have to do a MR, as didn't think I'd sent enough evidence or filled in the forms correctly.
Scan date was 27/7. I called last Monday and was told it was taking around 19.5 weeks, and I should expect an answer in first week December.
