DLA Wait times part 20… (2023)

Following on from part 19 as it’s about to become full.

👋 hi new to this thread I have a scan date of 21/07 and my second text came through on 9/10 .. I’m not very up speed to speed with the process tbh I’m wondering if there is a timescale from receiving the second text that we should expect to hear anything? I haven’t called as havnt had time to wait on the long call lines I’ve herd about but any info or tips anyone could give that would be amazing x Thankyou in advance x

@Mummyof1B1G You have the same text dates as me, I am scan date 13/7 currently with a DM. Typically they are currently between scan dates of the 7-13th from what i am reading so you may have another week or so....... however there has been a small handful of later dates awarded so you never know? May be worth calling but try first thing in the morning if you can ? Good luck ! xx

I’m 20th & when I rang yesterday they told me it’s taking upto 17 1/2 weeks to get sent to Dm so told me to ring back late next week if I hadn’t heard anything xx

@Mummyof1B1G also it’s been around 5 weeks from the date of the last txt for a hell of a lot of people so I’d say this week you could well get some news with a 2nd txt date of 09/10

Hour and 45 minutes on hold and i got through to a nery nice lady. My son was awarded MRC and LRM 2 days ago. Scan date was 12-7 and exactly 5 weeks after the second text. I didnt get a text or anything to say he was awarded. Im so happy right now i cant put it in to words, i can expect the back pay any day now 😁😁😁 i hope everyone gets the news they are waiting for very soon xx

@Mummyrach13 thank you so much hun I’ve been doing my house work still thinking that I had dreamt that call and thinking should I call back to make sure I hadn’t lol, you have been so much support for me I couldn’t thank you enough hun, I’ll be back on here with you around the renewal date waiting all over again 🩷

@Tmxx ahh I remember that feeling having my cast of the relief that came with it, I hope you’re little one is okay, nope I meant the 14th June as I called up on the 9th June for the forms and my stamp date was the 10th June if I handed back the forms by the 22nd July, I sent my forms off on the 5th July and they revived them on the 12th July so I had been back dated as I handed them back in time hun, and thank you so much it most definitely is such a relief to just not have to worry now for awhile 🩷

@Mumma3girls did you manage to get an update hun mine was scanned 28/7 and I’m still
waiting every time I phone they say be patient x

@Jude82 it's been 5 weeks 3 days since my last text so I'm keeping everything crossed!! Hoping its true, But when I called yesterday the lady told me that if I don't hear anything by December to call them back but to keep checking my bank. My scan date is 17/7 last text 9/10

Your so welcome @Billie1993 you defo haven’t dreamt it. I still feel like that now with my boy but we know there needs and what they deserve. Our dates are exact my forms had to be back by 22nd July and backdated to 10th June but they pay from a Tuesday which is the 14/6 So my letter states our award will end 9/6/25 which Im guessing yours will be the same x

Hi I’m new but been following for the last week.
I just called and got a very rude man, he said they didn’t even look at my claim till the 30/10 and I have to wait till mid January! But when I phoned last week I was told it was scanned on the 4/8. I don’t know what to think now. 😫
Is there anyone with similar dates to me and been told different?

Just recieved the txt saying my little girl qualifies for dla!!! Over the moon is an understatement! On hold now for rates and dates! Thank you so much everyone for all the support and i hope everyone gets their answers soon! I'll be sticking around to see how everyone gets on.

@Mumofasd3 congratulations on your award there seems to be a few 27/7 getting awarded this week. I’m beginning to wondering if they’ve forgotten the 17-21 July pile and gone on to the week after?

Anyone any further forward with their UC backdated claim?

@zombiemum4 my scan date is 1/8 so similar to yours..I was told first week of December to hear x
