I finally caved and called today, 1hr 20mins on hold, scan date 20/7. Not with a dm yet, hopefully next week or the week after it will be.. the lady on the phone was lovely! I was dreading calling incase I got someone grumpy x

A supporting letter from the school including what your DC struggles with and why they’re being moved to a unit is extremely helpful. I’d certainly send that off as that’ll strengthen your claim.

There are so many posts on here each day so I may have missed what your DC is struggling with but pls do join us on the SN board if you need any support. Some posters have children the same age as me so they’re extremely experienced😆

Hi. Been watching for a while and ive just decided to join in. I am waiting for DLA for my son. Scan date 12/7, last text 9/10. Congrats to all those that have been awarded. Im still waiting. I suffer with anxiety so i havent gathered the nerves to phone them yet as going by some of the comments, some of the call handlers are not very nice with people. I am tempted to phone tomorrow but i am not sure if i should wait a little longer xx

Thankyou so much.She is 6 and the thinks she has ADHD the Attention deficit not the hyperactive side.She can't read or write not evan her own name and she is in year 2.There is allt of things tbh.She is verbal and to talk to she seems like there is no issues but she has very poor understanding school has said she has no stranger danger and they can no longer supprt her needs as she can't retain any information as she can't stay focused at all
I hate sending her knowing she is struggling so much 😪

What scan dates are they currently looking at at the moment? My scan date was 7th September, so I know I have a while to go yet.

@funinthesun19 most seem to be around 12/07. However I've seen at-least 3 awarded for 27/07 and one with a dm. What date are you? Xx

Still waiting here, I didn't manage to call today so I'm going to try tomorrow.

17 weeks tomorrow for me, so I think given people have scan dates after me and I've heard nothing it's a no. I'm fine with it, I tried.

@Sophiesmilesxx I’d bite the bullet and call lovely. You may be on hold a while and so best to call at 9am on the dot but you should ( I’d hope) get some clarity with a 12/07 date if you can get through. Good luck 🤞

I think ill have to, ive got a feeling its a decline but fingers crossed 🤞 my son has adhd (both types) as well has many other learning difficulties. I piled in a load of evidence when i sent the forms. Ill update when i know more x

@MangoPepsiLover hey, I’m the same scan date as you, I’ve not heard anything yet either, I think It will be next week🤞it seems like there doing the week before us this week, this week is going to drag so much for us, I’m going to hold off calling til 18 weeks but please let me know if you do call, it will be interesting to find out what they say

@Asdmummyhere I've seen you were awarded last week, congrats! Just wanted to ask how long after you received the text did you receive the funds in your bank account if you have already?
