@Sskanf ohh I would call again if I was you hun seen a few awards for the 12 so how can you only be going to dm next week?? I’d keep calling! I feel more and more I wait I dread a decline xxxxxx

Mrsstephens04 · 14/11/2023 16:55

49 minutes on hold, knowing il just get cut off not long after 5pm 🤣🤣 thought I'd try the end of the day rather than 9am but apparently they are just always busy!

Tmxx · 14/11/2023 16:56

So i think what it is with them going in date order is the whole of that week gets allocated to all different dms and then worked threw, some have more complex cases and need to look into them more and get hold of people from the forms meaning one dm could get threw the 10th/11th/12th July before the next dm has even finished the 10th as there cases were simpler!? If that make sense 🤣 What I don't understand is the random like 27/07 being awarded 🤣🤣 sorry guys still just here waiting eagerly for your good news to come in 🤞🤞 xxx

Rebeccanew · 14/11/2023 17:02

@Tmxx yeah that kind of makes sense…so one could get through the pile quicker…and I don’t understand a very late one am sure one gets lost in piles every now and then…I’m hounding tomorrow 😅 xxxxx

Keddie · 14/11/2023 17:09

@Melliee @AsAsdmummyhere

I decided to call this afternoon , I wasn't going to but I'm so glad I did! My son was awarded yesterday MRC and LRM for 2 years! I am so so relieved, this is going to make a massive difference to his life. Thank you so much to everyone on here for keeping me sane these last few weeks! This is such a lovely group on here. @Melliee massive good luck with your MR , I really hope they make the right decision this time 🤞 xxxxx

Jaysworld · 14/11/2023 17:25

Mythica87 · 14/11/2023 17:38

@Vampiredette84 Same date as me 😊 I called today and was told it could be another week and a half before it's looked at.

Vampiredette84 · 14/11/2023 17:45

@Mythica87 i phoned today all I gt was new claims are taking up to 18 weeks so we are on week 16 let’s see x

Anonymousks1984 · 14/11/2023 17:47

My scan date is 11th June still waiting called today got told 24 weeks the wait is now x

Mojo161989 · 14/11/2023 18:27

Got through, scan date is the 13/07, the lady on the phone said my LBs is literally top of the pile and the next to have a decision made so not really sure what that means if its with a DM or not. Will probably call again in a couple of days. Gl to all still waiting. Xox

PinkMoscatoLover · 14/11/2023 18:28

HelloNeighbour2021 · 14/11/2023 16:46

Hey, I’m a newbie to the group, my scan date is 19/7. This wait really is a killer!!
Can I ask, I keep seeing posts about carers element on UC, is this for them that are currently on UC?
Im a SAHM so have no earning and my partner works away we don’t claim any kind of benefits so would I be able to put in for the carers element or carers allowance? ( does the entitlement depend on my partners earnings?

Congratulations to all that as been rewarded today and good luck to everyone else.

Exactly that, carers element is in relation to a UC claim. As long as you earn less than £139 a week then you can claim carers allowance if your child is awarded MRC/HRC. The entitlement to carers allowance is based solely on the earnings of the carer. Not the carer AND their partner if that makes sense

Clairexdx · 14/11/2023 18:29

@puzzleme5 You have the same dates for text and exact times! But my scan date is 14/7. I’m hoping for an answer this week x

Mummyto2beautifulangeltwins · 14/11/2023 18:38

My scan date is the 27/7 ,I've rang today due to no correspondence at all apart from a letter to say the claim had been received.
Mine is with the DM at the minute should be before the end of this when a decision is made .

Vikz37 · 14/11/2023 18:46

I've just updated tax credits but the phone line cut off just before I could ask will I be backdated from the start of my claim which will be about 18 weeks. Does anyone know if this is the case just incase they don't so I can chase it up.

Anonymouslylerking · 14/11/2023 18:55

Paitentlywaitingnot · 14/11/2023 18:58

Anyone else getting annoyed at the wait. Scan date 13/07. Been told not with dm & can be another 2-3weeks or more and seeing people with later scan dates got a decision is hard. They should keep more contact instead of us feeling like we are inconveniencing them.

Sskanf · 14/11/2023 18:59

Yes I'm 12/07 and not even with a DM apparently in a pile to go to 1 next week!

Looloo12332 · 14/11/2023 19:02

I have a long wait.Do u think I should call and tell them school and me have decided its best for my dd to go into a unit?I didn't out this on the firm but school said she can't cope and she is really struggling. The school is doing a supporting letter and I will send it off as soon as uts done

Cheesywiggles · 14/11/2023 19:10

@Asdmummyhere @Jaysworld thank you both ☺️ xxxx

Rebeccanew · 14/11/2023 19:16
